Is ink stronger than the mightiest blade?
Preposterous, this question seems at first!
Do actions, more than mere words, not persuade?
Is it not acts for which the people thirst?

A sword equals about a paper ream;
While ink is weightless to a single sheet.
Words only promise, not fulfill their dream;
Their pledges mean nothing if not complete!

But for what good is murdering a king
If changing of heirs is all that it yields?
Words can sing and incite an uprising;
The hearts of masses, speech captures and wields!

The might of ink, we cannot understate.
Though lighter than paper, they hold great weight.
