Hey guys I'm back! I apologize for the delay, but a lot of things have been happening lately.

Last time on this What if, Ivo and Miles had managed to make a new Sonic, now labeled Bio Sonic, to fix the mistake done years ago.

Rouge and Amy had also become members of Robotnik's slowly growing Team.

Now we pick up at Adventure 1 & 2.

During this time, the world has made better improvements to itself thanks to a fully redeemed Ivo's help.

Medical experience has increased.

Transportation is safer.

And Ivo's small team have been rounding up dangerous threats left and right.

Everything seems to be going good so far.....

.......until it started going downhill.

Remember when I said Knuckles wasn't doing anything because Sonic and Robotnik never faced each other on Angel Island?

Well Knuckles finally gets his chance to do something after all.

One day on the island, Knuckles was relaxing and guarding the Master Emerald, when he heard a shattering sound.

He turns to see the Master Emerald shattered and a water creature standing there before turning into a puddle and sliding away.

Chaos has just been unleashed into the world!

How he did he get out? No knows at this point.

The Master Emerald may have been turned into a prison, but it was never assured that Chaos would always stay in there.

Chaos is supposedly a god after all.

Once Knuckles survives Angel Island falling into the ocean, he begins his hunt for the Master Emerald shards.

His hunt takes him all over Station Square and other places.

It doesn't take long for the echidna to attract trouble when police approach him due to "suspicious activity".

When the police try to stop him for questioning, Knuckles tries to fight them off, which gets him more unwanted attention.

Knuckles eventually gets the attention of Bio Sonic, who happened to be running around the city.

As you would obviously expect, Knuckles and Sonic wind up fighting each other when Knuckles thinks he has a shard.

Not much is different between the original fight and this one, except for Bio Sonic not being as physically strong as the real Sonic.

Bio Sonic does eventually win the fight in the end by wearing him out, but the battle damaged the area and left Sonic gasping for air.

After getting Knuckles to calm down, he tries to get him to talk.

Knuckles explains his dilemma to Bio Sonic, to which the hedgehog offers his help.

Knuckles is, of course, stubborn and reluctant to get an outsider's help.

But after Sonic says that he has some friends who could help cover more ground for him, Knuckles eventually agrees to team up with Sonic and friends.

At this point, it's pretty much the whole world against Chaos.

Chaos originally had Robotnik help him gather the Chaos Emeralds, but he doesn't have that help because Ivo turned good in my version of this timeline.

So the entire story of Adventure is spent with the gang trying to get all the Master Emerald shards, while Chaos is attempting to get all the Chaos Emeralds.

I'm not even sure if the Chaos Emeralds are still hidden like they were in Sonic 1 or like they were in Adventure 1.

By the time the whole gang gets the shards together, Chaos manages to get to his Perfect form and floods the city like in the original timeline.

All would seem lost, but the Sonic and the others stumble upon the Chaos Emeralds, all of them completely drained of negative energy.

Ivo uses his research about the Emeralds and Knuckles tells what he knows.

They all come to the conclusion that the Emeralds could still be used to take out Chaos.

Now in this timeline, instead of just Sonic going Super and kicking Chaos' tail, Tails and Knuckles join in.

The team of three easily keep Chaos distracted in every direction until they find his weakness: the brain

Sonic flies in and deals the blow, defeating the water monster for good.

Everything else just goes as planned.

The city returns to normal

Chaos is sealed away in the Master Emerald again

And the Chaos Emeralds separate to different corners of the planet. (Like Dragon Ball)

The thing that bothers everyone though, is how did Chaos get free in the first place?

Was the Master Emerald not strong enough to hold him back?

Or is there something else at play here?

Hhhmmmm....suspicious, isn't it?

We now fast forward to the time around Adventure 2.

In this time, Ivo decides to look through more of his grandfather's work to see if there's anything left behind that could be brought to the world's aid.

He eventually stumbles upon "Project Shadow".

Instead of just learning about Shadow himself and the Ark, Ivo also finds all of Gerald's plans for revenge against the government.

Ivo alerts Miles and the others of his grandfather's plans to destroy the world.

The plan is for them to go release Shadow and try to remove his desire to carry out Gerald's plan.

Ivo knew Shadow was his grandfather's life's work, so he didn't want to harm him while stopping the revenge plot.

The plan to restrain Shadow though, fails miserably with the fact that they weren't prepared in a short amount of time to prepare for him.

Shadow decides to complete the goal without Ivo's help.

With Ivo completely against Gerald's plans, Shadow has fly solo like always to enact the plan.

Adventure 2 is spent the whole time with everyone on Ivo's team trying to stop Shadow.

Shadow has different reactions to everyone who's involved.

Miles is someone he mostly ignores, except when he tells Shadow that he knows what it's like to feel alone. That gets on Shadow's touchy side and almost gets the fox in trouble.

Sonic and Shadow mostly have rivalry with each other like in the original timeline.

Rouge tries to talk with Shadow like everyone else and actually makes some progress on him, but not enough to change his mind.

Amy is the one who gets the closest to stopping Shadow, sometimes triggering flashbacks of Maria in the process.

Eventually, Shadow gets all of the Chaos Emeralds and attempts to make his way to the Ark to activate the station's program.

When he attempts to board a ship headed there, Ivo and the whole team are there to intercept him.

The place erupts into a large battle of four Mobians and a few robots against one hedgehog.

Shadow mostly dominates the fight, with only Bio Sonic being the actual threat to him.

Bio Sonic could be taken completely seriously, but with him being a copy of the original, he's not as strong as he needs to be.

But with great teamwork, they fight well.

Shadow makes a final ditch effort to beat them: going Super

Bio Sonic manages to go Super as well and try to fight him.

Shadow is still, of course, stronger than the copy of the Blue Blur, pretty much wiping the floor with him in his Super form.

Shadow almost gets the chance to finish Sonic off, when Amy comes and begs him to not take a life.

Amy somehow triggers Shadow's memories one last time to show him what Maria really wanted him to do: to make people happy.

Shadow turns back to normal and teleports away, needing time to himself to think.

Things calm down for now, but they still had to fix some things.

Ivo managed to reprogram the Ark to not collide with the world.

Station Square has eventually recovered from Chaos at this time.

And Knuckles is back on that island again doing nothing.

All may seem well for now, but some questions still remained unanswered.

How did Chaos escape?

How did Shadow find the Emeralds besides using his powers?

Is there someone else behind all this?

Who knows?

But I'll stop it here for now.
