Third Person's POV

"Our children still have many lessons to learn. But some lessons are so big, it takes a whole world to doscover them" Aleena narrates "Now Mobius is learning the greatest lesson of all" Markus narrates.

"Boy outside one thing, chaos ain't all it's cracked up to be. Whoa!" Dingo saod as he has a spam hits a wall losing control "whoa!" Dingo said dropping the chaos emerald shards and a huge light expands and reaches the Sonic Underground van causing trouble on it "Whoa! We're rocking and rolling!" Brody said driving trying to keep the van in place "We've got to find Knuckles before Robotnik does!" Sonia said and Brody looks at her then steps on the pedal making the van escape the green light.

The four soon reach Athair's mountain and the four get out "Knuckles!" Sonia calls out "Yo dude!" Manic said as lightning strikes again and again "Sleet must have caught him" Manic said and Sonia gasps "Knuckles wouldn't have surrendered without a fight. He could be hurt, or worse...." Sonia said tearing up.

*Meanwhile*

Picking up from last chapter, Knuckles had reach Robotnik "Well, what have we here?! Knuckles the Echidna. Good work Sleet, I didn't think you had it in you" Robotnik said "He doesn't. I'm here of my own choice - to make a deal" Knuckles said "I don't make deals. And even if I did... why would I make a deal with you?" Robotnik asks "To save yourself and your precious Robotropolis. I know how to contain the chaos emerald. If we join forces, we have a chance to stop this chaos" Knuckles said "Hmm, I'm always open to saving myself, but if I'm going to help you then you've got a price to pay. I want the wolf and hedgehogs..." Robotnik said "You've got to be kidding! I'd never betray my friends!" Knuckles said angry "Then I guess Mobius is doomed because of you" Robotnik said laughing "Too bad" he said shocking knuckles "You're bluffing! You are gonna die too you know!" Knuckles said and Robotnik laughs "If I can't defeat Sonic and Brody.... Im ready to bring them down with me and Mobius" Robotnik said with an evil grin "He means it. He'll let chaos destroy Mobius if you don't help us capture the wolf and hedgehogs" Sleet said and Knuckles looks down in sadness and Robotnik laughs ".....If you capture Brody, Sonic, Manic.... Sonia... will you roboticize them??" Knuckles asks "Roboticize them? Of course not! I'd keep them as prisoners so I could taunt them with my victory" Robotnik said lying "But, I-I can't betray my friends!" Knuckles said turning around "But I can't let Mobius be destroyed either.... I'm sorry guys" Knuckles mutters tearing up and looks back at Robotnik "Alright! I'll do it! For the good of Mobius" He said "I knew you'd make the right decision. Someday, all of Mobius will thank you" Robotnik said and turns around "Well... almost all" Robotnik said.

*Back with the quartet*

"If knuckles is captured, we've got to rescue him!" Sonia said "We've gotta save Mobius first or it won't matter anymote - know what I mean?!" Sonic asks "Hold on Sonic. Knuckles still has the container, without it we can't stop the Chaos emerald....oh boy!" Brody said as they see the green light come their way "Run for cover!" Manic said as the four hide underneath the van as the light goes over making the ground shake "Funny thing about Chaos - You can't predict it" Sonic said "Knuckles!" Sonia said seeing Knuckles walk to them "We thought you were Buttnik's prisoner!" Sonia said walking up to him "Oh, I thought we'd never see you again!" Sonia said "Well, I-I managed to escape from Sleet" Knuckles said "Alright, I'm glad you're back!" Sonia said "Sleet didn't get this" Knuckles said showing the canister "Great. Now all we need is ti find those emerald shards!" Brody said "Well, I think, I figured out where it is. But, I'm gonna need your help" Knuckles said "Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's jam!" Sonic said as they all get in the van.

*Later*

"You know Knuckles, Sonia was ready to give up Mobius for you. Haha!" Manic said "I was not! You just keep your mind on finding that Emerald!" Sonia said "Yeah Manic. Nothing's more important than saving Mobius... no matter what it takes" Knuckles said.

"The chaos emerald is jusy on the other side of this canyon" Knuckles said as Robotnik watches from high above and spots the van "Open fire!" Robotnik said and the swatbots shoot out some liquid. Then, the van crashes out and Sonia gasps as they all leave the van "Huh?" Sonia asks "We're stuck!" Brody said as lightning strikes and Manic sees Robotnik "Bad news dudes -Buttnik!" Manic said "Don't leave! Stick around!" Robotnik said as the swatbots shoot Sonic, Brody, Sonia and Manic with dollops of glue getting them stuck "Sonic! Brody!" Sonia said "Knuckles quick!" Brody said "Help!" Sonic said "I'm sorry... but.... it's for the good of Mobius" Knuckles said sadly causing the four to gasp "Suprise, suprise! It was your friend Knuckles who led you to my trap!" Robotnik said getting down "Knuckles?!" Manic and Sonia asks "No! I don't believe it!" Sonia said "I had to!" Knuckles said looking down then glares at Robotnik "There! I kept my end of the bargain Robotnik. Now we find the emerald!" Knuckles said "Yes! The Emerald. But first thing's forst- Bring out the portable roboticizing chamber!" Robotnik said to Sleet "What?!" Knuckles asks "A perfect ending your roundness. Only you could trick Knuckles into betraying the wolf and hedgehogs" Sleet said and sets things up.

"You said you wouldn't roboticize them!" Knuckles said and Robotnik gasps "Not roboticize them?! Did I say that?" Robotnik asks "Nit that I recall" Sleet said "Why you-" Knuckles said "I didn't think so. Start with Sonia!" Robotnik said "Don't touch me you butt-head!" Sonia said as the swatbot grabs Sonia "No! That's enough!" Knuckles said charing at a swatbot with his fists and destroys it grabbing the weapon "Now Knuckles..." Robotnik said "Nobody...Nobody! Gets away with lying to me!" Knuckles said shooting at the swatbot holding Sonia making it drop Sonia "Yeah! Get 'em Knux!" Brody said "Yeah, get 'em Knux, let 'em have it!" Manic said as Knuckles keeps shooting causing the swatbot to fall in the roboticizing machine "No! You can't roboticise a robot, you'll overload the system!" Robotnik said as the machine explodes "Now to dissolve the glue" Knuckles said changing the mode on the gun and removes the glue on the heroes and the van "Good to have you back dude!" Manic said as the five escape in their van "he destroyed my roboticising chamber! Get him!" Robotnik said and swatbots chase after them.

"Hang on! Manic man stops for no one!" Manic said running over swatbots in their way but lava starts coming their way from the front and Manic breaks "That chaos wave must have set it off!" Brody said "Better back it up - Or we're wolf and hedgehog stew!" Manic said bt swatbots where going after them "Yo we can't go backwards!" Manic said "Follow me!" Knuckles said getting out of the van and starts digging a huge hole through the wall and Manic drives through it.

"Quick thinking Knuckles!" Sonia said as they got on high ground and got out the van "Yeah - I really dug what you did!" Sonic said and laughs as Brody snickers "Good one Sonic!" Manic said "I never should've trusted Robotnik!" Knuckles said "You were desperate to save Mobius. I might have done the same thing in your place" Sonia said "Hey, are you forgetting something? We still gotta find the Emerald!" Brody said.

*Later*

"Hey, what's that?! Thats gotta be the Emerald!" Sonic said as they drive the van and see a huge light "Give me the canister and Sonic and I'll check it out!" Brody said as Knuckles hands it to them and the duo dash ahead and spot Dingo near the emeralds "Hi guy! What's the prob?" Sonic asks "You two are hedgehog and wolf!" Sleet said arriving with swatbots "... But not for long! Get the Emerald!" Sleet said as a swatbot grabs the two shards "Sleet! Am I glad to see you!" Dingo said "You traitor! I'll deal with you later. But first we've got to get the Emerald safe" Sleet said morphing Dingo into a box "Oh no, not that Sleet!" Dingo said as a swatbot puts the Chaos Emerald into Dingo "Keep your mouth, and your door shut!" Sleet said "That thing may keep us out but it won't keep the Chaos in!" Sonic said "This canister is the only thing that will contain the Emerald" Brody said "Why should I believe you two?" Sleet asks "Uh, Sleet... I don't feel so good!" Dingo said "Wuh-oh...." Sonic and Brody said as Dingo grows radically and turns into Chaos Dingo.

Sonic, Brody and Sleet move away  as Dingo edges up on them "Wait Sleet... Morph him into a kitten, a puppy, anything!" Brody said and Sleet presses the button on the remote several times "It's not working!" Sleet said "Keep trying! We'll be back with help!" Sonic said as he and Brody run off "Dingo! Oh... wow partner... You don't look so good. Is there anything I can do for you? Is there anything you want?" Sleet asks "I want..... CHAOS!!!" Dingo said and blows Sleet awaym

*Back with Sonic and Brody*

"Did you guys get the emerald?" Knuckles asks "I think we're gonna need a bigger canister" Brody said as Dingo approaches "I want CHAOS!!!" Dingo said "Dingo? Oh man and I thought he was ugly before!" Manic said "Chaos definitely isn't his look" Sonia said "Rargh!" Dingo sid setting off dozens of volcanoes "He'll tear the whole planet apart!" Knuckles said "Not if we stop him!" Sonic said summoning his guitar with Brody and the two shoot Dingo "Argh!" Dingo said and smashes down on the ground so Sonic and Brody dash away to avoid and Manic brings out his drums and starts playing them "You all that an earthquake?" Dingo asks and Manic wacks his drums so hard that his drums shatter thanks to Dingo making an earthquake "Whoa dude!" Manic said "He's too strong!" Brody said and Dingo walks away as Robotnik arrives "Robotnik! Oh just what we need" Sonic said "Get the hedgehogs and wolf!" Robotnik said "Wait! Dingo swallowed the Chaos Emerald!" Knuckles said "He's turned into a monster!" Manic said "He'll spread chaos all over Mobius!" Sonia said  "And your point is..." Robotnik said "He's heading straight for Robotropolis! He'll turn you into rubble if we don't stop him!" Sonia said "Ooh, I'm scared! As if Dingo could do anything right. Get up!" Robotnik said and Sonic thinks something "But Dingo stole the Emerald from you! You gonna let him get away with that? Yeah man, the Buttnik! The buttnik! My sir, you're gonna let Dingo make a monkey out of you?  You'll be the laughing stock of Mobius!" Sonic said "Nobody steals from Robotnik and gets away with it. I do all the stealing around here!" Robotnik said "That's the old Buttnik I know and don't love! Now picture this... I got a plan to put Dingo in his place" Brody said and whispers in Robotnik's ear "Hmmm.... I like it!" Robotnik said.

"Robotropolis! And it's all mine!" Dingo said as Sonic, Brody, Sonia and Manic get in position and summon their instruments to play a song.

*After the song*

The four heroes make enough noise to distract Dingo. Then, Robotnik uses the glue gun to stick Dingo to the ground "I can't walk!" Dingo said and Brody pushes Robotnik forward "W-what are you doing? What am I supposed to do now?" Robotnik asks "Just stand right there!" Brody said and runs off "Why, wait!" Robotnik said "I'm falling!" Dingo said and tumbles on top of Robornik and he spits out the Chaos Emerald. The Chaos Emerald floats away and lands into the canister "Nice catch!" Sonic said "Give the credit to the team!" Knuckles said as the five take off.

*Later At Athair's cave*

"Athair, we briught you the Chaos Emerald for safekeeping" Knuckles said "The Emerald must be kept by you. On the floating Island" Athair said "But you'll be coming with us won't you, to join the resistance?" Sonia asks "Knuckles' duty lies on the floating island. Just as your duty lies with the resistance" Athair said "And finding mom!" Sonic said "And finding my dad!" Brody said as Knuckles holds Sonia's hand "But if you ever need a break from fighting Buttnik, there's always room on the floating island" Knuckles said smiling "And you're welcome to sit in with a Band anytime!" Sonia said smiling and kisses Knuckles' cheek as this chapter comes to an end.
