In a high-tech mobile base, two robots and a man are monitoring equipment that are picking up energy readings.

Orbot: That's odd.

Stone: What's odd?

Orbot: According to these readings, whatever triggered the sensors was moving faster the speed of sound.

Cubot: So it can make sonic booms?

Stone goes to the terminal and enhances the image to reveal sonic in a more clear image.

Stone: Doctor, you're not going to believe this.

A mustached man in a black suit with red linings walks in and presents himself to the three

(Sounds like Eggman in the games)

Eggman: What is it Agent Stone? Did Cubot lose his high score again?

Cubot: Not yet.

Orbot: That moving energy signature doesn't appear to be a human.

Eggman then pushes Agent Stone and the bots out of the way and starts typing on the terminal.

Eggman: My god, you're right. That is something out of our world. Where is it now?

Cubot: The drones blue up the bridge and then it disappeared.

Stone: It's an expressway, but he's right. We stopped detecting the energy signature

Eggman: Well, I never expected this to be easy, so challenge accepted. We'll find out what the heck this thing is and rip it open.

Cubot: Sounds fun.

Eggman: Of course it is.

In the land of Soleanna, a cabin stands in the middle of the forest. Inside it, was the blue Hedgehog sleeping in a bed with bandages around his body. Soon, the door opens and Elise walks through with a file in her hand. She sits on a chair and sees the peaceful expression on Sonic's face. Soon he begins to move and talk a little

Sonic: W-wait. Were are you guys? Huh? Longclaw?

Sonic opens his yes and looks around to see Elise next to him.

Sonic: Oh, hi Elise. I was kinda worried last night wasn't real.

Elise: I can assure you, it is.

Sonic then sits up, but groans from the pain he's recovering from.

Sonic: Okay, I took one too many explosions yesterday. Normally my wounds would disappear in a few hours. Well they did, but I'm still pretty sore.

Elise: Well take it easy then. I must say, I've never seen an alien before. Oh, was that offensive? I'm so sorry. I-I didn't mean to--

Sonic: None taken. I'm from another dimension, but I understand that I'm not part of your planet. What's the file for?

Elise: Oh, well I figured that you'll want someone else who can keep your secret and teach you parts of Earth. So I looking through the database of the past students at the Soleanna Academy.

Sonic: You did that in a few hours?

Elise: You've been asleep for a day.

Sonic: Oh, got it.

Elise: Well, this boy is Tobias Nebbins. Although most people just call him Toby. He was of Soleanna Academy's top students. He graduated with one of the highest grades before moving back to his hometown of Green Hills, Montana.

Sonic: I have a Green Hills in my world as well. Although it's most likely different.

Elise: Interesting. Anyway, Toby is a very brilliant mind, very friendly, and is an expert in events and possibilities that most don't really consider.

Sonic: Does that last part imply he's a conspiracy theorist?

Elise: Yeah, but he's not the type obsessed with them.

Sonic: Okay then. You got an image of Green Hills?

Elise: Yes. Why?

Sonic: Cause I have a way to get here instantly.

Sonic grabs the pouch and pulls out a ring.

Elise: Are those rings? Like the ones that appear all over the world?

Sonic: Oh, so you've got those too? Well these rings are different. They allow me to travel to any place. Of course they only last a few minutes.

Elise: Interesting. How do they work?

Sonic: Well I just have to think of a place and then I throw the ring. Of course I need to know what it looks like to do that.

Elise: I guess that makes sense. Here.

Elise hands Sonic a picture of Toby in front of his house and prepares to throw the ring. Elise gently puts her hand on Sonic's shoulder to halt him.

Elise: First let me call him. Otherwise he'll think you might be the one to abduct him.

Sonic: Good point. Then by all means.

Elise pulls out a phone and types a number in it.

Meanwhile, in Green Hills, Montana, a boy in a mechanic's outfit and a beanie is in a garage and working on a car.

Suddenly, his phone rings and he answers it.

Toby: Hello, Toby here. How can I help you.

Elise: Toby, this is Elise the Third.

Toby: Oh, Princess Elise. How's it going?

Elise: Pretty well. There's actually something I need help with.

Toby: Oh, what is it? I'll be glad to help.

Elise: You're not going to believe me if I told you.

Toby: It wouldn't happen to involve that massive energy blast from two nights ago, would it?

Elise: You know about that?

Toby: It's been what everyone's talking about. It knocked out power beyond the east coast.

Elise: That makes sense. Well, I'm with someone you'll never believe.

Toby: Whatcha mean?

Suddenly a ring forms behind him and he has a look of surprise on his face at the sight of Sonic and Elise

Sonic: She means me.

Toby drops his phone out of surprise of what's happening.

Toby: Oh my god, are you--

Sonic: A talking hedgehog? Yes.

Sonic walks through the portal and limps.

Elise: Easy Sonic.

Unknown to Sonic, a ring falls out of the pouch and Elise picks it up.

Elise: Toby, this is Sonic the Hedgehog. A person from another world called Mobius.

Toby: Woah, an extraterrestrial?

Sonic: I think it's more like from another dimension. But I guess same difference.

Toby: Awesome! So you need a place to stay?

Sonic: Yeah. And maybe someone who might have an idea who can get me back home. But I'd be okay with just having a place to hide out for a bit.

Elise: Can you help him. Just until he's fully healed at least

Toby: Are you kidding me? You don't even have to ask. Of course I can help. Besides, anything for a friend. I have extra bedrooms. Got a pretty good deal when I found this house.

Elise: Great. And Sonic?

Sonic: What's up, Elise?

Elise: When you get better, you think you could visit me again some time.

Sonic: Once I stop feeling the pain, I can visit every day. I'm the fastest thing alive and getting there and back would be a good jog for me.

Elise gets down and hugs Sonic, which causes him to winch in pain.

Elise: Thank you so much.

Sonic: No problem Elise. But you better get back through the ring because it will close in a few seconds.

Elise: Okay.

Elise lets go and then goes back through the ring. She then waves as the ring closes.

Elise: Bye you two. Take care. And Sonic, you promise.

Sonic and Toby wave as the ring closes. Elise then walks and steps on something that clanks. She looks and sees that it's a portal ring that must've fallen from Sonic's pouch when he pulled out the other one. She then decides to grab it and keep it for now. Meanwhile, Toby helps Sonic onto the couch.

Toby: There you go. I know that you're someone who hates staying in one place.

Sonic: But even I know when I need to slow down and rest. I learned that the hard way too many times. You got any chili dogs?

Toby: Yeah, got a bunch in the fridge. Want some?

Sonic: Heck yes. They are my soul food.

Toby: Awesome. Wait here, I'll heat them up.

Toby walks away and Sonic lays on the couch and looks around to see pictures of Toby with several people and even one about his graduation at Soleanna Academy.

Sonic: Glad to see you had an awesome life as well, Toby.

Sonic sniffs and smells something. He hears walking and Toby walks in with a plate of Chili Dogs.

Toby: Here you go. Enjoy.

Sonic tries to swipe them, but he's still in a bit of pain, so he simply grabs one and eats it.

Sonic: Oh yeah. Chili dogs, rule in any dimension.

Toby: So, I have like a billion questions, but I can wait for you to recover.

Sonic: Thanks. But I do have to ask, if you're capable of being able to know about potential dimension travel and technical know-how that is way out of my league.

Toby: Sure I do. How about you keep resting and you can tell me about it when you get better?

Sonic: Deal. Thanks Toby.

Toby: No problem. Just remember to not be seen.

Sonic gives a thumbs up while Toby closes the curtains and turns off the lights before leaving the room.

Sonic: Not night yet, but I still want to sleep. Better to just go with it.

Sonic closes his eyes and falls asleep. As he goes back to his garage, Gary notices something something on his clothes and sees that it's one of Sonic's quills. He puts it away and continues working on the car.
