Chapter 11: Silver and Aleyah ~ Part 3
"I was born in the hospital in Central City with my parents, Pearla and Bruce the Hedgehogs. I lived happily in the cottage with them. I grew up being socially friendly, extroverted, optimistic, energetic and well-mannered. I managed to make a lot of friends while exploring the outside world. We took Runa in when she was unconscious in the middle of Forest Hill.
"When she's officially considered as a sister, that's when Space Colony ARK came crashing into the world, but Sonic and Shadow stopped it from doing so, thus fighting off the Bio Lizard in Super Forms. Since then, I couldn't help but witness the battle to stop the Space Colony ARK from destroying the world. After Shadow sacrificed himself to save the world, I gave him honor just like how I give honor to the fallen.
"When I found out he's alive, I couldn't help but feel more excited. I was so excited that I always wanted to meet him in person and become friends with him. Or maybe best friends. No wait. Sibling-friends. No, wait. More than that! Oh, how I loved to be with him more than a friend and Shadow should feel the same way. I was so obsessed with him that I got completely carried away sometimes."
You can see Silver trying to play it cool, but he had a hint of jealousy on the inside when he heard that Aleyah had an obsessive crush on Shadow. Blaze was the first to notice as her lips stretched out a slight smirk. Now, she knew about Silver's secret crush on Aleyah, but she'd rather keep it to herself until they're official.
"At some point, Runa introduced me to Rosy and Mystico a week after Sonic and Shadow saved the day from the Biolizard. She said they took them in because they needed a friend to keep them company. Most especially Rosy since she really wanted to make new friends apart from Mystico.
"Then, a few days later, we went out to the park to have a morning picnic. After that, we played hide-and-seek. That time, I was the seeker. Runa was the last to be found since she was dealing with some kind of situation. That's where I met the hero chao twins, Bearace and Juniper. Their owner happened to be executed, so we took them in to make them feel like home.
"On that same day, we went to the mall to have lunch, then after that, we went shopping. Along the way, we saw Shania breaking down into tears in a small alley in the mall. We all went to comfort her, but it's mostly Runa doing so while the rest of us gave them personal space. That's because her owner abandoned her for some reason. Because of this, we took her in. Since then, the five chao got along with Runa so well they're considered as best friends."
That's when Aleyah explained to Blaze, Silver and Gardon about the times she and Runa planned their birthday party and how they did so last year when she got carried away with so many ideas running in her head. Then, she explained her life after their last birthday party. From delivering some party food leftovers to Jewel to having two amazing adventures with the Restoration helping her realize what she had been doing whenever she thought of Shadow.
"But it's a good thing Runa taught me a lesson about moving from my obsessive life to a better one. And so, I decided to move on from the past and focusing on the future."
As Silver, Blaze and Gardon were listening to Aleyah's life story, they were quite shocked to hear about the entire situation between Reuben and Runa, but they're also relieved that this nasty black cat won't end up with Runa. Not ever. Not only that, but they're also relieved to hear that Rosy's regaining her voice from time to time and also thankful for Aleyah's actions to transfer her obsessive life to a new one. Especially Silver.
"It's nice to hear you've moved on from your obsessive life," said Blaze smiling at her.
"Yeah! I could say the same with Blaze," said Silver with a relieving smile on his face.
"What? Ya jealous that I'll end up with any other guy?" Aleyah asked Silver with a teasing smirk on her face.
Then, she could feel his elbow nudging her left shoulder. His cheeks were heating up in embarrassment as he did so. "Leyah!"
You can see Aleyah's left eye being closed while her right eye was facing Silver. "Kidding, kidding! You're always worried, Silver!"
"Wow Silver. I've never heard you call anyone a nickname before," said Blaze.
"Me neither," said Gardon.
"Guys, please! I just can't help it!" Silver said with his head turned back on the others. He then, buried his head in his hands.
The others giggled at his sight. Aleyah guessed he's embarrassed about what he was said a moment ago. About how he nicknames anyone. Well, according to Aleyah's perspective, she thought she might be the only one with a nickname being called by Silver. This keeps her up especially when it comes to building a well-balanced confidence.
After lunch, they were all still sitting around the table when a curious question suddenly popped into Gardon's head. He then, turned his head to Aleyah. "Aleyah, can I ask you a question?"
"Of course! What is it?"
"When you're talking about Bianca, isn't she the hedgehog that almost looks exactly like you?"
"Yup. You got it right," answered Aleyah. She then, began to explain how she and Bianca were rivals.
"Bianca has been my longtime rival since we wanted to pick up the same dress we always want in the clothing store in Central City. Since then, we've been fighting over fashion and we even made a contest about collecting the most clothes. Now, thanks to Runa's advice on not needing to collect a large pile of clothes, I stopped competing.
"But during my obsession with Shadow, we met again. This time, we were fighting for one thing. Or should I say, one person? We made a contest on who's the best girl Shadow has ever seen. It's still going on though.
"That was until I realized what I had done and so, I started to move on from my obsession with Shadow, which makes me wonder... what's up with Bianca anyways? I mean, if she finds out I moved on from Shadow, she would most likely go after him to pursue him, thus harm Runa for being friends with Shadow. Now, whatever you do, avoid her at all costs. She's the worst."
"Good. Because she's coming for one thing," said Gardon.
"What's that?" asked Aleyah.
In response, he pulled out a light blue glowing orb in her hand. It can even fit into his palm. The others were all surprised at what they just saw right before their eyes.
"What's this and where did you find it?" I ask her.
"It's called 'The Orb of Memories.' Marine gave it to me to hide it from Bianca at all costs. She said she found it in one of the corners in her ship," said Gardon. "She didn't even know how it got here in the first place."
"Whatever it does, it could be dangerous in the wrong hands," said Blaze.
"Yeah, I agree. It might affect the dimensions we're originally from," says Silver.
"Well, all I know is that your memories appear on the orb right before your eyes when you stare at it. When you say the name of a person, memories of the name you have said will appear on the orb as well," explained Gardon.
"What about my parents? Does it work when I mention their names?" asked Aleyah without any single thought.
Silver let out a light giggle at Aleyah's actions as he looked down and playfully shook his head.
"Well, it's worth a try," said Gardon handing Aleyah the orb.
Aleyah carefully took the orb in her hands. She then, set her eyes on the orb and said the names of her parents.
"Bruce and Pearla the Hedgehogs."
That's when she started looking deeper into the orb and explored their origins.
Their love story between her parents started when they first met in the peaceful part of the future 183 years from the present (or rather, past; in Sonic's time). Their families in different households were very strict that they forced both of them to marry someone else, but they secretly hung out with each other. When Bruce confessed his feelings to Pearla and she accepted, their families became even more strict that they wanted to break both of them up.
One night, when Bruce proposed to Pearla five years later and she accepted, their families gave them one punishment:"To send them separately in the past". But that didn't stop them from being together, so when they met again, they held themselves a secret marriage and when Bruce was 27 and Pearla was 26, that's when Aleyah was born. Together, we lived like a happy family. Somewhere around 12½ years later, they took Runa in and cared for her as an adoptive sister.
After Aleyah finished exploring their history, a soft gasp escaped her mouth and her eyes widened in shock.
"What is it, Leyah?" asked Silver, his eyes full of concern. You can see Blaze and Gardon looking at her with a concerned look on their faces.
Aleyah then, handed the orb back to Gardon before sighing in exhalation. Then, she rose into a standing position. You can see Gardon putting the orb back where he had pulled out.
"My parents. They're born from the future," Aleyah informed them.
All shocked faces were shot directly towards Aleyah.
"They're born from the future?! Seriously?!?!" asked Silver.
"That means you're meant to be from the future, too," said Gardon.
"How many years from now?" asked Blaze.
"Probably around one-hundred-and-seventy-three years from now, but the two first met ten years later," answered Aleyah, then her right index finger and thumb moved to her chin with her right elbow laying on her other hand. Her index finger and thumb could be seen pinching her chin gently in thought. "But the question is... who is our ancestor?"
Before anyone could answer, a faint sound of raspy but savage growling rang in everyone's ears. They all turned to where the sound came from.
"What was that?" asked Aleyah.
You can hear Gardon's shiver in fear. "Oh no. She's here."
With that being said, Bianca, now becoming a savage hedgehog has appeared in sight. Far from the distance.
