Sara raised her eyebrow in confusion. "Home?"

"Yes. Home," James said. As he said this, he walked towards his right with his hands on his back. His head was lowered down while he slightly turned to her. "A real home. You were born in that home."

James came to a stop and fully turned to Sara. "But right after you were born, your father laid you in a basket and sent you out on a river because something... complicated happened to him and your mother."

"What about the orphanage? Who took me there?" Sara asked.

"I'm not sure. Perhaps someone, who's the orphanage caretaker, found you and took you there to care for you," James answered.

James walked on his left side, with his body slightly turned to Sara. "Right now, things have changed. For the better of your home's society. And once you're home..." He came to a stop and his body fully turned to her. "...I'll teach you how to control your powers."

A pause occurred in the air.

Then, Sara finally spoke up, "I have chosen my home. And that is my home with Runa, Shadow, Lucy, Bubbles and our five chao friends. Right here, in Mobius."

Silence occurred in the air.

Then, a few moments later, James broke the silence. "Think about it," he said in a whisper only Sara could hear.

With that, another lighting struck. Then, James disappeared.

Sara was left in deep thought about what James had said earlier.

Later on...
Sara's Safe House, Far Away from G.U.N. Headquarters

One of the G.U.N. soldiers escorted Sara to a safe house, faraway from G.U.N. Once she entered, she was in awe of the details of that place.

The walls were peach with the floors and ceilings being wooden brown. On her left, she could see the dining room. There was a rectangular wooden brown, polished table with six chairs surrounding it. At the center of the table was a white vase with white flowers on them. Further ahead of her was the window with white translucent curtains hanging above it.

On her right was the living room. The couch was placed slightly closer to her view with an armchair on the slightly far right. The color of the couch and sofa was dark brown. There was a glass, low table in front of the couch and a white, small vase with lavender in the middle. Attached to the wall in front of the glass table was a fireplace, covered with glass. Above it was a black-framed TV screen. Behind the couch was a shelf full of books and statues of angels. Between the shelf, and the TV and fireplace was a window with white translucent curtains hanging above it.

Between the dining room and the living room was a small hallway. A hallway that led to three more rooms.

Further ahead was her bedroom. Her bedroom consisted of a bed located on the far right. The bedsheet, pillows and the mattress were white with the blanket being white with red narrow stripes on it. The bed was held by an iron-made bed board. On the other side was a small dark brown, polished table. The top of it was circular with its one leg at the bottom center. Right at the bottom were four spirals. Surrounding it were two chairs with the same color. The pattern on the chairs' backrests were filled with spirals. Their legs were straight, but its ends were ball-pointed. There was also a shelf attached to the middle wall. Most of the space was filled with books. Almost all of the floor was covered with a dirty blonde carpet. Between the bed and the table was a big rectangular window with white translucent curtains hanging above it.

On her left was the kitchen. At the center was a kitchen counter with a kitchen sink on it. On its right was a stove. Next to it on the stove's right was a cabinet with drawers on it. On top of the cabinet was a container full of kitchen tools, a blender, a water dispenser and a coffee machine.

Obviously, Sara was not one for coffee. She liked drinking dark hot chocolate because it tasted like a mix of coffee and hot chocolate.

On the other side of the stove was another cabinet with drawers on it. Ontop of it was a toaster.

Below the stove was a silver oven.

Further behind the kitchen counter was a kitchen sink. Beside it was a dish rack full of dinner plates and bowls. There was also a container filled with clean cups and another container filled with utensils. Above the kitchen sink was a window.

On Sara's right was the door to the bathroom. When she entered, there was a toilet attached to the left wall. Beside it and near the door was a white bathroom sink. Further ahead was the gray curtain. Behind it was a shower room. The walls were filled with white square patterns and brown outlines. The floor was slightly rough. The tiles were beige with the outlines being brown.

As Sara explored the surroundings of her safe house, words from the G.U.N. soldier caught her attention.

"This is where you stay until we find someone to help you control your powers. Please, relax and make yourself at home."

Sara nodded with a smile. "I will. Thank you."

"No problem," the G.U.N. soldier said. Then, he handed Sara the Android phone. She retrieved it.

"This is for when you call your loved ones. I gave you their phone numbers. If there's anything you need, you can call them. Okay?"

Sara nodded.

"Alright. I'll be leaving now. See you soon," the G.U.N. the soldier said.

"Yeah. See you," Sara said.

With that, the G.U.N. soldier left the safe house.

Meanwhile...

Runa and Shadow's Apartment Room

"WHAT?!" Lucy and Bubbles exclaimed in unison.

Shadow and Runa had told them and the five chao information about Sara's powers and how she's safe and sound at the safe house far away from G.U.N. Headquarters. When they did, Bubbles, Lucy, Junior and the five chao were extremely shocked.

"SARA HAS POWERS AND SHE'S INHUMAN?!" Lucy asked. "NO WAY!"

"Sawa..." Junior muttered in concern.

"Yes. She has incredible destructive powers. She's new to this, so she would have to learn to control it. If this continues to be out of control, there will be disastrous consequences," Shadow said.

"Which is why we must take her to a safe house for her to stay, which is located far away from G.U.N. Headquarters. While she stays, we'll look for someone that can teach her how to control her powers," Runa said.

"But she's fine, right? Right?!" Bubbles asked.

"Yes, Bubbles. She's fine," Runa answered with a reassuring smile.

Bubbles, Lucy and the five chao let out a sigh of relief. "Phew!"

"Chao-chao, chao-chao, chao," Juniper said. Roughly translated, "I'm glad she's alright."

"Chao, chao-chao, chao-chao-chao," Bearace said. Roughly translated, "You said it, Juniper."

Rosy looked up and formed her arms together like she's praying. Her face was filled with concern. "Chao-chao-chao-chao, chao, chao." Roughly translated, "I hope Sara's okay."

Mystico laid a hand on Rosy's shoulder. He caressed it as he gave her a reassuring smile. "Chao-chao, chao-chao, chao-chao. Chao-chao, chao-chao, chao-chao, chao, chao." Roughly translated, "I'm sure she's fine, Rosy. You just have to believe in her."

"Chao-chao-chao," Rosy replied. Roughly translated, "I hope so."

Shania turned to Runa and Shadow with a smile. "Chao-chao-chao-chao, chao-chao-chao-chao-chao. Chao-chao-chao-chao-chao, chao-chao, chao-chao-chao-chao-chao-chao-chao-chao, chao-chao, chao-chao." Roughly translated, "It's a good thing we informed them now. If we don't inform them sooner, they would've been way more worried about Sara."

Shadow chuckled. "At least they know she's okay."

"Yeah, pretty much," Runa replied.

With that, chuckles and laughter exploded among the group.

Training Room 101, G.U.N. Headquarters

Shadow and Runa were having a second sparring session.

Runa launched a punch on Shadow's chest, but he blocked it with his right forearm. Runa landed another punch on his chest, but Shadow blocked it with his left forearm.

Runa launched a roundhouse kick on Shadow's left side of his body, but he blocked it with his left hand. Shadow launched a punch on Runa's stomach, but her hand gripped his fist, blocking it. She kicked Shadow's stomach. It was hard enough for him to step backwards, but it was not hard enough for him to get injured.

Shadow let out a chuckle. "Impressive as usual."

Shadow launched a punch at Runa's chest, but she pushed his forearm to her right with her left arm. Runa playfully rolled her eyes as she replied with a smirk, "You say that every now and then, Shadow."

A pause occurred in the air. Then, Shadow launched another punch at Runa's chest only to be moved to her other side. As it happened, Runa continued, "I wonder who Sara's mentor will be."

"Yeah. I could say the same," Shadow said. "Right now, it's mostly the G.U.N. troopers who are searching for him. We do have other things to take care of."

"I know that," Runa said.

Then suddenly, Runa reached her hand towards Shadow's back and pushed him onto the ground. Her hands gripped his back-arms and her knees stuck his legs together. He was startled at this moment.

For fun, Runa smirked. "Looks like I finally won."

Shadow's smirk widened. Then, his two feet kicked Runa's stomach. This loosened her grip on his arms. Shadow launched towards Runa and pushed her onto the ground.

Now, Shadow was on top of Runa. Shadow's arms gripped her arms and his knees stuck her legs together. her legs were so tightly together she couldn't even send a kick to his stomach. A tint of blush crept up Runa's cheeks.

"Actually... I win," Shadow said with a smirk.

At that moment, Shadow and Runa felt the strange feeling inside of them again. This time, it was so strong they had to ask someone what that feeling is. And they had to do so tonight.

Later on...
Leone Kingdom

Shadow used Chaos Control to transport himself to the Leone Kingdom. He was originally going to find Lariel, but she was not around. He looked for her everywhere in the kingdom. Soon enough, he came across Leo. Surprised expressions appeared on their faces. They didn't expect to see each other again.

Right now, Shadow was sitting beside Leo on the grassy land nearby the Leone Kingdom village. Leo had taken a day off because of how stressed he was as king of the Leone Kingdom. This led Solomon to take over because he was Leo's advisor.

Silence occurred in the air. Then, a few moments later, Shadow finally spoke up. "Hey, Leo?"

Leo turned to Shadow. "Yes?"

"Have you ever felt this... strange feeling you've been having inside of you?" Shadow asked. "It's like... when you're around someone, it feels... warm and fuzzy. And when you feel this feeling... it's like you wanna protect that person and you want to be there for her no matter what."

This question kinda surprised Leo. After a few moments of deep thought, a smirk appeared on his face. "I think I know what that feeling is."

"What's that?" Shadow asked.

A pause occurred in the air. Then, Leo 's eyes turned to Shadow as he answered. "Love."

Shadow's eyes widened in surprise. A tint of blush appeared on his cheeks.

"It's not just friendship or mutual respect that you're feeling. It's more than that. You're having romantic feelings for someone," Leo said.

Shadow turned away with a heavy blush. "Wh... What?"

"Why? Does it have something to do with..." Leo smirked at Shadow. "...Runa?"

Shadow's fist covered his mouth as he blushed more heavily. "N-No."

Leo let out a chuckle. Then, there came another pause. After a few moments, he laid his hand on Shadow's left shoulder. "Whenever you're ready, you can tell her how you feel. I'll keep this between us."

Shadow nodded. "Thank you, Leo."

"No problem," Leo said, smiling at him.

With that, Shadow bid his goodbyes to Leo before he transported himself back to his apartment via Chaos Control.

Meanwhile, with Runa...

Runa was now sitting on her bed in the apartment. She was in a conversation with Lariel through her communicator. When she contacted Lariel, they greeted each other before they got down to business.

"So the reason why I called you here is because... I want to ask you a question," Runa said.

"Sure. What is it?" Lariel asked.

Runa inhaled deeply. Then, she exhaled to relax herself. "There has been a... strange feeling that I've been having inside of me. When I'm around Shadow, this feeling keeps growing stronger. I don't know why, but I feel like it's... more than just friendship or mutual respect. It's like the butterflies are fluttering inside my stomach. Have you experienced that feeling, Lariel?"

"Hmm..." Lariel began to think. Then, realization hit her as her face lit up. "Ah, yes. It's the same feeling I've been feeling whenever I'm around Leo. That feeling is love."

Runa's eyes widened in shock as a tint of blush appeared on her cheeks. "What?"

"Yes. It's true. You're having romantic feelings for Shadow," Lariel said.

Runa covered her mouth as her blush grew heavily. "Wh-Wh-What?! Seriously?!"

Lariel let out a laugh. "Yes, seriously! Don't worry, Runa. I'll keep this between us. I promise."

Then, they both laughed.

After the laughter died down, a curious question popped into Runa's head. "So, when can I tell Shadow how I feel?"

"You can tell him whenever you're ready, Runa, but I think it's best if you let Shadow confess to you first," Lariel said.

Runa chuckled. "Okay, Lariel. Thank you."

"You're welcome," Lariel said.

After that, they bid their goodbyes to each other before they hung up.

Later on...
Briefing Room, G.U.N. Headquarters

Shadow, Runa, Rouge and Omega were called by Abraham to the briefing room immediately. Once everyone arrived, they sat on their respective chairs, turned to Abraham and listened to him.

"We have detected a group of mercenaries nearby G.U.N. Headquarters. It seems they're coming after something - or rather, someone," Abraham said. "According to our investigations, they're looking for someone called 'the girl with extraordinary powers.' It's highly probable that they're looking for Sara. I need you to scout the whole situation. Do not engage until you figure out what they're looking for. Is that clear?"

Team Dark and Runa nodded. "Yes, Commander."

"Good. You are all dismissed," Abraham said. "The shuttle will be ready at 5pm. Don't be late."

"Of course," Shadow said.

"It'll be no problem," Rouge said.

"Affirmative," Omega said.

"Yes, sir," Runa said.

With that, Team Dark and Runa stood from their chairs and exited the discussion room.

Later on, in an abandoned factory...

Darkness enveloped the whole land. As a result the factory was darkened. Broken windows and ripped curtains were seen on the walls. Boxes were placed neatly. Dust was spread everywhere, even on the boxes.

In the middle of the factory stood the same group of mercenaries Abraham talked about. They were wearing their black jumpsuits with gray helmets over their heads. The helmets also have visors in front of their eyes. They were seen conversing with each other.

"And are you sure this will lead to a safe place?" one of them said. You could hear a screech from someone's ear. That meant he was talking to someone else on his earpiece. Unfortunately, no one could hear the words a person was saying on the other side of his earpiece. "Oh, of course. Yes. We just have to keep looking."

Peeking out of the pipes located at the ceilings of the factory was Rouge the Bat. She was seen scouting the mercenaries inside the factory. The reason why she did that was because bats have the highest sense of hearing. She could eavesdrop on the conversation, even if it's far away.

As for Shadow, Runa and Omega, they were waiting near the factory. Rouge would always give them updates about what's going on if she had figured out something.

Right now, Rouge kept eavesdropping on the conversation among the mercenaries.

"Fascinating. This girl. The one who has extraordinary powers is quite interesting," the second mercenary said.

"You said it. Still, we don't know where she is," the third mercenary said.

Just then, another beep was heard in the third mercenary's ear. The third mercenary reached his hand towards his ear. "What now? We're in the middle of business here."

Another screech was heard. Then a few moments later, the third mercenary spoke. "Wait you found her? In a safe house far away from G.U.N.?"

As Rouge heard the last sentence, realization hit her and her eyes widened. Those people really are looking for Sara!

"Whoa-ho-ho! That's great! Should we go after her?" the third mercenary asked. Another pause. Then, the third mercenary nodded. "Oh, alright, alright. We'll be right there."

As the third mercenary laid his hand from his ear to his side, he turned to the rest of the mercenaries. "Come on guys! Let's go!"

With that being said, the group of three mercenaries ran from the factory.

Rouge reached her hand to her earpiece in her right ear. "Shadow, Runa, Omega. I figured out the situation."

Meanwhile...
Sara's Safe House

Sara was making her own dinner. The only things she found in the fridge were vegetables, fruits, rice, chicken and instant noodles. Tonight, she would eat instant noodles with vegetables and a few small chunks of chicken breast.

Soon, Sara was finished. She had put the bowl of noodles on the dining room table. Then, she went back to the kitchen to get herself water.

Sara opened one of the drawers and retrieved a white mug filled with glass. Then, she closed the drawer. Sara walked towards the water dispenser. Using it, she filled the mug with lukewarm water. After that, she carried it carefully to the dining room and placed it on the table on the near left of the bowl.

After that, Sara went to the kitchen sink and washed her hands. After she washed her hands, she wiped her hands with the towel, retrieved the chopsticks from the drawer and went back to the dining room to eat dinner.

And so, Sara did.

While eating dinner, another crack of lightning and thunder appeared right in front of her. This completely spooked out Sara. Her skin shook and her heart was beating in fear.

After a few thunderous strikes, there appeared James Francton.

"Hello, Sara," he said.

"What are you doing here?" Sara asked.

"I've come here to warn you," James answered.

"About what?"

James walked around the table from his left. As he did, he began to explain. "There are people out there who are coming after you. They're coming to get your DNA for evil purposes." Then, he approached Sara. "That's why I'm here. To keep you safe from harm. So I ask you again?"

James held out his hand to Sara again. "Would you like to come home with me?"

Sara's eyes glanced at the hand, then back at James. Then, a few moments later, determination filled her eyes.

Later on...

Shadow was gliding in his hover shoes while carrying Runa bridal style. Omega boosted himself, using his rocket boosters. Rouge soared above Shadow, Omega and Runa.

Team Dark and Runa were heading their way towards Sara's safe house. Rouge had warned Shadow, Omega and Runa about the situation. Once they heard, they had to go there and protect Sara. Immediately.

As Team Dark and Runa headed towards Sara's house, Runa turned to Rouge in concern. "Rouge, are you really sure those mercenaries are going after Sara?"

"Yes, hon. I don't know what they'll do to her, but we're gonna make them pay," Rouge said, glaring at what's straight ahead.

Soon after, they arrived in Sara's safe house. Shadow, Runa and Rouge went to the front door to step inside the house. Shadow came in first, then Runa, then Rouge.

Just as Rouge was about to step inside with the others, she turned to Omega, who was standing outside.

"Sorry, Omega, but I don't think you'll fit through the door," Rouge said with an apologetic smile.

"It's fine. I can guard the safe house here," Omega said.

"That's great," Rouge said. "Be safe out here."

"Affirmative. Same to you, Rouge," Omega said.

Rouge nodded in acknowledgement before she stepped inside the safe house. This left Omega guarding the safe house outside.

But once Shadow, Runa and Rouge stepped inside, they were shocked at what they just saw.

The mercenaries were already here. And they were scrambling around, searching for Sara from top to bottom. At that moment, not only three mercenaries came into the safe house. In fact, there were two more, which made it a group of five mercenaries.

At that point, Shadow, Rouge and Runa thought the five mercenaries might've found Sara at any minute. But in reality...

"She's gone! The girl with extraordinary powers is gone!" the first mercenary said. "I have searched for her from top to bottom, but she's nowhere to be found."

Hearing this shocked Shadow, Rouge and Runa even more. At the same time, they were confused. Regardless, they're relieved to learn that Sara had escaped. But the question is... where is she now?

A few moments later, Shadow turned to the first mercenary. "You... didn't take her?"

"No. We didn't. By the time we get here, she's gone. I wonder if she escaped," the first mercenary answered.

Runa slightly lowered her head and went into deep thought. I wonder...

Meanwhile...
Somewhere in Another Land

A peaceful grassy land was seen. The skies were blue, birds were chirping and a soft breeze ran past the leaves and grasses.

Then, a few more strikes of lightning and thunder were heard and seen in the middle of the grassy land. After a few thunder strikes, there appeared James... holding Sara close to him.

Sara was seen with her eyes closed tightly. James turned to Sara and let out a whisper clear enough for her to hear. "You can open your eyes now."

Sara obeyed. She turned to what's ahead of her and James. What she saw made her eyes widened in awe.

Further ahead was a town, filled with village-like houses. Most of them had brown roofs, beige walls, brown doors and brown window doors. People were running around while playing tag, doing house chores and trading money for items needed for their families.

As Sara continued to stare at the town in awe, she heard James saying to her, "Welcome home... Dalia."

Sara turned to him in shock and saw James, smiling at her.
