Hey guys, Chapter 1 is finally here.

Sorry it's so late, I needed a lot of time to think about where I wanted the story to go, but for those still interested, here we go.

"What is happening right now!?" You asked in your head as you gazed at the anthropomorphic blue Hedgehog apparently named Sonic who was now busy drying himself with a towel you gave him.

After you ran inside, the adrenaline from your fear giving you a good boost of speed, you recalled your dog Boney.

The thought of your pet dog being out there with what you thought to be a dangerous creature was enough to overwrite your fear and you immediately ran back to make sure he was okay.

What you saw however surprised you.

FLASHBACK:

You stood there at the door leading to the pool outside, a look of confusion on your face.

That odd creature you pulled out of the pool was currently on the ground getting licked relentlessly by a happy Boney.

Boney:

Your pet dog most likely heard your frightened screams and rushed over to protect you.

Now he was busy happily licking the thing that caused that scream while said thing was laughing happily.

It wasn't hurting your dog and your dog seemed to like him just fine, maybe it wasn't here to hurt you.

"U-um...Boney." You said softly, but the dog seemed to hear it as he raised his head to look at you.

It let out a happy bark and immediately got off the Hedgehog to run to you.

You kneeled down and used both your hands to lovingly ruffle his face which he enjoyed greatly.

You stared at the blue Hedgehog who got back up after the loving assault from Boney and stared at you as well.

Even though Boney seemed to like him, you were still very much afraid.

It was a creature you've never seen before, no telling what it could do.

But you actually were curious as to what it was and what it was doing.

So you steeled yourself, took a deep breath and spoke to it.

"H-hi...wh-what are you?" You managed to stutter out.

You did not mean for that to sound so rude and even though it looked like somewhat like a Hedgehog judging from the quills, you wanted to be sure.

Thankfully the creature didn't seem offended and simply smirked.

"Well first off, ya messed up your question little buddy." The creature said before striking a pose.

"U-um...I-I don't think...I did." You replied softly but Sonic seemed to have ignored it.

"Second, the name's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic introduced before walking up to you and extending his hand for you to shake. "And you are?"

This was followed by awkward silence as you just stared at his hand with a look of uncertainty.

"Um...I...I..." You stuttered hesitantly reaching your hand out.

"Come on kid, I won't hurt ya, promise." Sonic assured.

You let out a gulp and shook his hand slowly.

"I-I'm...(Y/N)..." You said before you immediately pulled your hand back as you felt it was now dripping wet since Sonic still wasn't dry from falling into your pool.

"Heh...sorry." Sonic chuckled rubbing the back of his head.

You wiped your hand dry on your pajama shirt and began contemplating what to do now.

You really couldn't just leave the blue Hedgehog alone could you?

If others saw him who knows what could happen or what a panic it might cause.

"You...m-maybe w-wanna come inside and...dry off?" You offered. "I-I'll get you a towel."

Sonic seemed to think on your offer before nodding.

"Sure, if you don't mind." He chuckled walking past you and inside.

FLASHBACK OVER:

"Thanks kid, for the towel and saving me." Sonic thanked and you nodded and took it back.

While Sonic was drying off Boney had gone back outside and back to his dog house in the yard after you gave him a few treats.

You were safe and okay and so Boney was happy.

He wouldn't leave you alone with someone if they were dangerous or had bad intentions which further helped you warm up to Sonic.

You did find yourself feeling a bit stupid for freaking out over Sonic though as you remembered you saw much weirder creatures during your childhood.

Guess you just weren't as used to them anymore since it has been a while since you saw any kind of odd creature or monster.

"N-no problem...I-I couldn't just let you drown." You stuttered out.

"Well, I better head back out before your folks wake up." Sonic stated as he turned and headed back out the door and hearing that worried you.

"H-hold on..." You said making Sonic turn and stare at you curiously.

"What?" Sonic asked.

"I-if you go out there people are gonna freak out like I did and you're gonna cause a panic." You said nervously.

"Well I can't just stay here, I'm pretty sure my friends are somewhere in this city too and I gotta find em." Sonic informed surprising you.

"Friends?" You asked. "A-as in other c-creatures just like you?" You asked and the blue Hedgehog nodded in response.

"W-well, you still can't be out all the time...right?" You asked. "A-and after you find your friends you still need somewhere to live right?"

Sonic thought about it for a moment and you were right, no matter how fast he was he didn't know where his friends were and he would need somewhere for him and his friends to rest once he found them.

He knew a certain few who wouldn't like roughing it in the wilderness and having a roof over one's head was a lot safer.

"Alright kid, I accept." Sonic said as you breathed a sigh of relief.

It was only then you realized that this would present another problem.

The staff working and living in this mansion would freak out at the sight of Sonic and his buddies if he brings them here.

"Oh no...(Y/N)...you're a moron!" You yelled at yourself while facepalming.

You just complicated your life by inviting this creature to live in your home, now you'd have to make sure him and the others were kept secret from the staff and your aunt and uncle.

Why did you do this?

Maybe you just wanted to be like your brother and actually help someone for once in your life.

Instead of being the one receiving help.

"Whatever...I can't go back now...it wouldn't be right." You reasoned with a sigh.

"So Kid, how you gonna explain me to your folks?" Sonic asked snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Oh...well...I-I don't know." You admitted. "F-for now...let's keep you a secret...at least until we know all your friends are safe."

The Blue Hedgehog shrugged in response.

"If you're sure then alright, I'll make sure to stay outta sight." He replied.

"Thank you Sonic, glad I could help you out." You said with a smile.

"Hey, I'm the one who should be thanking you, you saved my life and giving me a place to stay." Sonic chuckled. "You're a real hero huh?"

Hearing that made you blush deeply and look down.

"H-hero?" You stuttered out. "M-me?"

You were always a shy kid, so getting a compliment would usually make you blush and stutter, but "hero" was a new one.

That was something you called your brother all the time and never thought you'd hear someone call you.

It felt...nice, especially since Sonic seemed so genuine when he said it.

"Th-thank you." You stuttered again.

"Like I said, you don't need to thank me, but I promise I'm gonna repay you." Sonic assured giving you a thumbs up.

Sonic...he reminded you so much of your brother.

Cool, confident and his eyes showed no hint of doubt.

You may have just met, but looking at Sonic really felt like you were looking at Claus...even if he was shorter than you.

"So...I won't be able to go back to sleep." you sighed rubbing the back of your head. "W-wanna c-come up to my room and...talk for a bit?"

All Sonic did was nod as you began leading the way up to your room.

He figured you'd need an explanation on some other things as well, like how he and his friends got here and a few other details.

So not only was going up to your room safer from getting spotted, it was a good opportunity to talk like you said.

As you both ascended up your room, you were both unaware that this night was the catalyst of an adventure, one that will affect the world and universes beyond.

MEANWHILE:

We zoom in on a large tower fortress on a beach.

Within this tower, were various advanced machinary beeping and whirring away performing various functions.

Within a certain chamber, various robots were currently being built.

These robots were getting outfitted with extremely devestating weapons made to kill.

This base belonged to a certain mad scientist who was out for the blood of a certain blue Hedgehog.

Said Mad Scientist was currently outside within a floating pod along with 2 of his robots on the ground.

Dr Eggman:

Decoe and Bocoe:

Before the 3 of them were 3 other figures, 2 were quite tall while the one in the center was short.

The center figure while small gave off an unsettling aura as it gave a salute to the Doctor.

The Masked Man:

The other 2 beside the Masked Man were identical to each other in every way and stood proud with hands on their hips.

Starmen:

"Alright, who are you three and what do you want?" Eggman asked. "Make it quick before I sick one of my robots on you."

"Yeah, make it quick, that kid is giving me the creeps." Decoe yelled making the Masked Man look at him and that made both robots flinch.

His look held no malice or anger it held no emotion at all, but it was still enough to scare the robots.

"Initiate the link Commander." One of the Starmen said and the Masked Man nodded before aiming his arm cannon directly at Eggman.

Before the Doctor could react a small yellow laser shot out and nailed Eggman directly in the head.

This made Decoe and Bocoe panic as their creator let out a scream of pain and fell backward out of his Egg mobile.

The egg-shaped man hit the ground, head first between his 2 assistants and fell on his back letting out a groan.

"BOSS!" Both Decoe and Bocoe yelled worried as they stared down at the Doctor who's head was now emitting smoke at the point the laser hit.

"Uugh...now I've got double the headache." Eggman groaned as his Egg Mobile crashed behind them.

"Sir, you're alive?" Bocoe asked amazed. "Amazing, the thickness of your skull can even stop lasers!"

Eggman burst up and delivered a backhand to Bocoe's head making it spin and the poor robot fell down onto the sand.

"WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA!?" Eggman yelled at the Masked Man who kept his blank expression. "WHO DO YOU THINK I AM THE PRESIDENT!?"

"Relaxe Doctor, the headache was necessary." Came a deep and calm voice, a voice that shook Eggman to his core.

Play this:

"Huh?" Eggman asked looking around before glaring at Decoe. "What did you say, I don't remember installing a voice changer!?"

"I-I didn't say anything Doctor!" Decoe exclaimed raising his hands defensively.

"That beam allows me to communicate to you through telepathy Doctor." The voice replied further unceasing Eggman.

"What you hear Doctor is the voice of our master." One of the Starmen stated getting his attention

"Master?" He asked curiously.

"Indeed Doctor, these 3 are servants of mine, I do apologize for being so sudden, but this was the only way I could speak with you." The Voice explained as Eggman dug into his ears with his fingers to make sure he wasn't just hearing stuff.

He let out an irritated growl, he didn't like the idea of something poking around in his head doing God knows what in there.

"Well, who are you? What do you want? And how long until you get out of my head?" Eggman asked mentally to the voice.

"My name is Giegue." The voice introduced. "And I have a proposition for you."
