The clock ticking sounds in my ear

Sweet lullabies echoing here

My heart soaring, I reach the sky

Clouds scattering in my small eyes

For a moment I am surprised

For something seems not so quite right

Yet I know although

Skies will tumble there is still ground

Where I know I'll be safe and sound

The world changes but so do I

So I continue, trying to touch the sky

Fire screams loudly, I allow it to land

Letting water trickle to Earth, falling on my hands

I bend to my knees, coughing the smoky air

As fiery rain showers down, singeing my black hair

Yet I know although

Stars and moons fall there is still ground

Where I know I'll be safe and sound

Hope's a hard find but not to I

So I continue, my deep search for the sky

I spit out dirt leaving no trail

For I am one to not want fail

I bleed out tears so I'm hollow

Allowing room for more swallow

I say farewell as I begin

To look for ways where I fit in
