Chapter 9
"Princess, the universe will rise, one day, rise against your father," Haggar hissed. "And you will quiet them, and continue to rule."
"But why?"
"Our people are spread thin now, keeping your fathers vast empire under control. They grow restless. You will need to be in your prime to rule, so for now- until the entire universe belongs to the mighty Emperor- you must sleep."
Haggar pushed Zora into a metal pod, and the glass over it slid shut. "Haggar, what are you-"
Ice clouded over the glass, freezing the breath in Zora's very lungs.

Zora sat up, panting, her eyes wide. "Sanja..."
"Princess Zora, what in the worlds is wrong?"
"I just had a strange dream... Sanja, was I ever in a cryo pod? I remember, Haggar pushed me into one, in my dream that is."
Zora could see Sanjana undergoing some sort of mental struggle, her bottom lip quivering.
"Tell me Sanjana. That is an order."
"This is highly classified information Princess. The only reason I know is because I watched Haggar do it. You needed to be young to assume control, and your father wanted to raise you in an empire that was completely under his control. The reason you can't remember anything before you were five is because Haggar took your memories, she locked you, me and Kiba in stasis for several thousand years. For your own good of course."
Zora's head was spinning, she flopped back onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. Why? Now that she thought about, it made sense, trying to take care of a kid while trying to conquer a universe wouldn't have ended well, but why not tell her? What else was locked deep inside her mind that she didn't know? Zora had trusted Haggar! But the Druid may have been acting with Zora's best interests in mind. Why hadn't Sanja told her earlier? Why hadn't Kiba?
"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?"
"Because neither you nor Kiba had your memories. I only recently regained mine. Humans tend to heal faster."
If her father had lied to her about that, and just kept on going like nothing had happened, then what else was a lie?
