Kiba was aware of things exploding around him, soldiers shouting. But it was all drowned out by the fact that Princess Zora was kissinghim. Her slim body laying half on top of him, soft lips pressed to his. He could have sayed laying on the hard floor of the Galra ship for hours, letting her kiss him. But if they stayed here there was a likelihood they would both die.

 So reluctantly, Kiba pulled away from Zora. She gazed at him, her soft yellow eyes shining. "I'm so glad you're okay," She said.

"Me too Princess. But we've got to go."

"I know," Zora bit her lip, glancing awake. "But if something happens, if we don't make it out alive."

"We will. I swear it."

"But if we don't. I want you to know... that I love you."

 "I love you too Princess. Always have," Kiba grinned wolfishly. "I hope we get to finish this conversation, but for now, we need to move." Kiba managed to clamber to his feet, leaning on Zora for support. 

 As they staggered through the titling ship, the reality of the situation was dawning on Kiba. What had he just done? What had Zora just done? For the Galra soldier who was Zora's body guard to have kissed her, it could be considered treason. Kiba had always sworn to himself that his one sided love was something that he would keep secret, and use it to do protect Zora with everything he had. He had never intented for the Princess to fall in love with him in return. She deserved someone better, not a soldier, not a murderer. But the moment she'd said she loved him, all of his senses had flown away, and he'd told her he loved her to. Because he did. Had for years, always would.

  The ship shook again, sending Zora and Kiba flying into a wall. There was an explosion from above them. Zora turned to Kiba, her delicate face smeared with ash, "We need to get up there."

 "Yes Princess." Kiba returned to his default, to being a soldier. It was how he'd keep his Princess safe.
