“Sou desu ka,” said Banri after he heard Iori’ explanation, “It’s... really... cruel...”

“Hai,” Iori nodded—seems he agreed with Banri. Iori was explained everything that happened last night to Banri while Riku explained it to i7 when all of them have waken up last morning.

“So, Riku-kun is going to Yuki’ house right now?” asked Banri.

Iori nodded again, “Yeah. Yuki-san said that Re:vale is free today so Nanase-san can go whenever he wants. And he said that Nanase-san can meet Re:vale in his house since Momo-san is staying there because her house is being renovated."

“Sou ka...”

“We’re going to investigate Tsukumo’ headquarter for three days without Nanase-san. Nanase-san is in an unhealthy condition so I think telling him to rest for the next three days and practicing him breathing so that he can reduce the effects of her asthma is the best choice for now. Nikaido-san is the one who accompany him because I have to explain everything that happened last night this time."

“So, his visit to Re:vale not only to find out what music to defeat Angra Mangiu but also to train Riku-kun' fighting skill who has asthma, huh?”

“Sou desu. Actually... I want you the one who teach him but since President is preety close to you, I’m afraid that President will find out what we are doing.”

Banri stayed quiet and lowered his head. Seems he is doubting what IDOLiSH7 want to do. “But, President is going to give you guys a new mission tonight.”

Iori surprised after Banri finished his words. Then, he held his chin. “Can you tell him to extend our time off? Just a week is enough."

“Hai,” Yuki replied and then opened the door, “Riku-kun. Oh, Yamato-kun too. Dozo.”

“Excuse me,” said Yamato and Riku at the same time. They came in Yuki’ house.

Momo wave his hand to both of them from the sofa, “Yahoo~ Riku, Yamato!”

“Momo-san,” Riku smiled.

After Yuki let the guests sit he asked, “So, what do you want to talk about?”
Riku took a deep breath and said, “What kind of music that can defeat Angra Mangiu?”

Re:vale widened their eyes. “W-Why dis you ask us?” asked Momo.

“Takanashi Tsumugi told Riku and Ichi about how you guys save her. But, she didn’t know what kind of music that save her so she told us to ask you guys directly,” explain Yamato.

“Y-You met her?!” said Re:vale at the same time. “Where?!” asked Yuki.

“In Yaotome Gaku’ house,” answer Riku.

“NANNIIII??!?!?” surprised Re:vale. “T-That Yaotome Gaku?! She live with the most desired man in Japan?!” asked Momo with his widened eyes.

“I never expect that Gaku-kun live with her...” suddenly Yuki smirked, “Fufufufu... I'm interested in knowing the details. Maybe I'll ask Gaku-kun directly later."

Yamato and Riku laughed awkwardly. “S-So... What kind of music?”

Re:vale looked each other for a sec and then looked to Yamato and Riku that sat in front of them. “Do you guys mind if we explain it from how we know to defeat Angra Mangiu?” asked Yuki.

Yamato and Riku shook their heads.

“Jaa, I’ll start. That time, Papa Takanashi and Ban asked for our help to save Papa Takanashi’ daughter. They asked us to help them find Tsukumo’ weakness. Then, we decided to go to Tsukumo’ office in his headquarter while Papa Takanashi and Ban fought against Tsumugi. We searched the documents. And there is one document that explain everything about Angra Mangiu. The document also explain how to defeat it. ‘Find their struggles and touch their hearts.’ that's what is written in the document."

“It’s totally a puzzle for me and Yuki. But, after a long time of thinking, we found out. Something that can touch their hearts... What else if it isn’t by music? But, Yuki said that if only a music, then why the document said to find their struggles? I thought for a while... And we realized... A music that matches the Angra Mangius' sadness and problems.”

“Although, we have realized that we are still confused with one thing. Whose problem is it? The yokai who is possessed or the person who is being possessed? I said to Momo back then, ‘Why don’t we try both?’”

“And... I agreed with him. So, we decided to go to where Takanashi-san and Ban-san are. When we arrived, we thought that we’re late. Takanashi-san seems not breathing anymore, wounds are everywhere and a lot of blood has already come out from his body. Ban-san still fought against Tsumugi-chan. Then, we decided to switch so Ban-san can help Takanashi-san to recover at the save place.”

“We compete with her. Tsumugi-chan was being possessed by a plant yokai, by the way. Although it’s only a plant but do not underestimate her power. Even my katana splitted into two once it touched one of her plant. Then, during the fight, we realized something.”

“The yokai can't release its full power. Like something is holding it back,” Momo giggled, “Tsumugi-chan never gave up. She kept fighting over the yokai inside. She kept refuse the yokai. Then, we concluded...”

“The one who needs the song is the yokai. Yokai was a human before they died so, we learn about it's personality and the problems that are bothering it when it lives while we fight.

Yamato tilt his head, “Is that really possible?”

Yuki giggled, “A fighter’ instinct, Yamato-kun,” his face returned to serious, “Then, after I have collected enough information about the yokai, I directly sang ‘Mikansei na Bokura’."

“The yokai is a perfectionist and thirst for strength. It assume that it is the strongest. From this song, we taught it that we're creatures with many flaws so we need others/friends to live life. Not only in need, we also do something for others not just for ourselves myself. And..."

“The yokai seems lonely too. That's why we sang ‘Mikansei na Bokura."

Yamato and Riku stayed silent in admiration. Not long after, Momo clapped his hands, “HAI~!”

Yamato and Riku a lil bit surprised.

“So, is there any question?” asked Yuki.

Yamato and Riku looked at each other and then turned their eyes back to Re:vale. They shook their heads. Before Momo could open his mouth, Yamato’ phone rang. “S-Sorry, I want to pick this first,” Yamato directly went out from Yuki’ house.

“Momo-san, Yuki-san.”

Re:vale turned their eyes to Riku. Then, Riku showed his firmly gaze—Like the look of someone who is sure to get through the distress, bitterness and sadness that awaits him, “Please, teach me the ‘fighter’ instinct’ that Yuki-san mentioned it.”

Re:vale looked at each other—they seems confused. “Wh—“

"Surely it's a skill, isn't it? Instinct won't enough to know people' problems in such a state of urgency," said Riku — he cut Yuki's words. He hopes his guess is correct.

Then, Re:vale smiled. “Sasuga. I never expect that you will think like that,” said Yuki in proud, “Gomen, we didn’t tell you guys earlier since it’s a totaaally hard skill and I thought you guys haven’t needed it yet."

“We will face Tsukumo soon. So, we needed it.”

MEZZO”, Nagi and Mitsuki secretly entered Tsukumo’ Headquarter. Once they got in, they splitted up. MEZZO” observing each room there and memorizing all of them because there are some rooms that are not in the CCTV and look for Yaotome Sosuke.

Nagi and Mitsuki looking for information about Tsukumo Ryo in his office, fortunately the room owner is not in the room there. If you ask where is Iori, he is in Takanashi Headquarter. He hijacks the CCTV in Tsukumo 'Headquarter and guides the four friends so they can still sneak in.

Every time they finished sneaking up, they discussed what they would do when the day of the attack arrived.

The third day of investigation, Tsukumo’ Office, Tsukumo Headquarter...

Mitsuki flipping pages of documents with the help of flashlight lighting. Yup, the room fully dark. “Three days of investigation... And the information that we’ve got hasn’t enough.”

Nagi nodded while placed the document back to the shelf and pick another document also opened the document, “Information about Tsukumo is very less here. From yesterday we found only information about the four talented young men that Tsukumo found.”

“Isumi Haruka. Inumaru Toma. Mido Torao. And lastly, Natsume Minami, huh?” said Mitsuki while still flipping pages of documents. When Nagi heard those names his face turned a lil bit upset and thinking over something.

Not long after, Mitsuki widened his eyes, “W-What is this?” his face turned really pale.

Nagi woke up from his reverie. Then he approached Mitsuki and looked at the document held by Mitsuki. He widened his eyes, “N-No way...”

MEZZO”walked passing through several rooms while observing the surroundings. They activated their invisible skills, “We have surrounded this place for thousand times since two days ago and we haven’t found Yaotome Sosuke yet.”

“Tamaki-kun,” Sogo stopped his steps, “Do you realize something happened to this building?”

“What do you mean?” Tamaki tilt his head.

“Do you remember where the kitchen was yesterday?” asked Sogo.

Tamaki thought for a sec, “It was at the top floor, turn right from the northern stairs, the most corner."

“Exactly. Now, tilt your head to your left.”

“Huh? Wh—“ Tamaki widened his eyes, “H-How could be...?”

Sogo held his chin, “There is no place other than in the yokai world that a room can move to another place... "

“Jaa, you mean... This is a yokai world?! H-How could be?!”

“I-I’m not sure... Nee, we haven’t got in here, right? Why don’t we checked inside?” asked Sogo.

“M-Maa, okay.”

MEZZO" through the kitchen door with their skills. They look around, no one is there. It's really quiet. But, there is a suspicious door in the corner of the room. They decide to enter the room.

MEZZO” faces turned really pale. Their eyes widened. “S-So-chan...” Tamaki held his mouth and went out from that room. He went to the wastafel in the kitchen and throw up.

“T-Tamaki-kun!” Sogo approached Tamaki.

Then, Tamaki started to cry, “G-Gomen, So-chan... It’s... It’s...”

“Too cruel... Yeah, I know,” said Sogo while stroking Tamaki' back.

“That bastard...,” Tamaki clenched his hands.

Sogo lowered his head and then he raises his head again also showed his firmly gaze. He went back to the suspicious room once again.

'Yaotome Sosuke's corpse was hung sadistically in this room with... The other corpses... But they were all laid on the floor... Not hung... What's this? Moving room...Yokai world... 'thought Sogo,' Don't tell me...' he widened his eyes—he was surprised at what probably had happened. Suddenly, they heard footsteps from the outside of the kitchen.

Sogo went out again from the suspicious room and looked outside from the window in the middle of the door. Tamaki follows what Sogo did.

“No!” Tamaki wants to go out from the kitchen once he saw what’s going on outside. A little girl, an ordinary human, flogged by one of Tsukumo's subordinates. “NO!!!”

“Tamaki-kun!!!” Sogo directly preventing Tamaki from approaching the girl and holding Tamaki's mouth.

“HMMMPPHHH----!!!!!!!!!!!!!” shouted Tamaki.

“No, Tamaki-kun!”

“HMMMPPPHHH------!!!!!!!!!”

“IT’S A TRAP!!!!!” shouted Sogo.

Then, Tamaki bitted Sogo’ hand. “ITTAI!”

“WHY DID YOU SAY IS A TRAP??! YOU CAN KNOW IT FROM HER SCENT!!! SHE’S A HUMAN!!!!!”

“But, we can’t save her, Tamaki-kun!!! It’s dangerous for us and whole of our unit’ member!!!”

"WE CAN FACE THE DANGER!!!! ONE LIFE IS REALLY PRECIOUS IN MY EYES!! I'm not like you who doesn't care about one life!!!"

Sogo is frozen when he hears these words come out of Tamaki's mouth. He feels like a thorn has pierced his heart. Although, Sogo's words seem to be a fact.

"RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!" suddenly the little girl roaring like a lion. And then killing the yokai who whipped her. She smashed through the kitchen door. The little girl seemed about to bite Tamaki's shoulder.

Sogo becomes a shield for Tamaki, as a result the clothes and skin on Sogo's shoulder are torn by the girl's teeth. Blood came out from his shoulder.

“SO-CHAN!”

Sogo's invisible skill turns off automatically. Tamaki who saw that immediately deactivated his skill as well. He also approached Sogo who was grimacing in pain.

The little girl chewing the meat that she rippe  and said, "Heh ...? Seems Torao is right ... A meat from Osaka has the best quality,"slowly the little girl changed into a young man, looks the same age as Tamaki but is much shorter.

Tamaki widened his eyes, “Y-You are the one who fought me at the orphanage...”

“Good job, Yotsuba. For these three days,” the young man smirked, “Ah, gomen... You haven’t known my name, right? Yo, my name is Isumi Haruka.”

Sogo bit his lip and then said while showing his horrible smile), "I knew it... We were caught since yesterday."

Emergency alarm rings. A voice from the radio said, "Attention! Attention! Intruders in Boss ’office! Intruders in the kitchen! Unit in charge please act immediately!"

Meanwhile with Mitsuki and Nagi...

“N-No!!! WE’RE BEING FIND OUT!” shouted Mitsuki.

Someone kicked the office door to collapseband gets in. "Whoa, a kid with his dad?" teasing the person who kicked the door.

“I’m not a kid!” Mitsuki directly approached the man and intending to kick his right cheek but the man holding Mitsuki's leg with his right hand.

‘T-Too strong!’ thought Mitsuki. “Activate: Beast breathing,"Mitsuki read a spell. The spell made veins visible on his legs, hands and forehead. He grabbed his opponent's hair and immediately slammed him hard. ‘I-I did it ...!’

Suddenly, the man disappeared and appeared from behind Mitsuki. ‘T-Too fast,’ thought Mitsuki. The man punched Mitsuki right on his face.

Even though Mitsuki had blocked his face with both hands, he still bounced and crashed into the wall, no, even made the wall break. Mitsuki vomiting blood.

“MITSUKI!!!” shouted Nagi. Nagi wants to help Mitsuki but something stopped him. Snakes. Snakes wrap  his body quickly. “Ghh--!!! T-This... power...”

A young man with a girl cut hair approached Nagi. He showed his smile to Nagi. “It’s great to see you again, Prince Nagi Valhart von Northmeir.”

“N-Natsume-shi!!! AAKK!!” the snakes bind Nagi's body tighter, “Y-You work with Tsukumo?!”

“Since long time ago,” answered Minami.

Suddenly, Mitsuki appeared from Minami’ behind. Minami realized it so he directly bind Mitsuki too with his snakes.

“Heh...? Those snakes aren’t useless,” said the man that punched Mitsuki just now.

“Fufufu, don’t underastimate my power, Mido-san.”

Minami directs his right hand forward and closes his right palm. At the same time, the snakes bite Mitsuki and Nagi's neck.

Both Nagi and Mitsuki shouted really loud before they finally lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, in Takanashi’ Headquarter...

Iori ’face turned really pale so do Yamato. Yeah, Yamato helped Iori to watching cctv since he returned from Yuki's house two days ago. If you ask about Riku, he's still at Yuki's house since two days ago.

"W-We failed...," said Iori desperately. "What should we do...?" Iori held his head with both of his hands. "What should we do...??"

"Ichi!"

"T-The preparation... Nanase-san hasn't come back yet... We haven't determined the song... How can we beat him...??" Iori continued to mumble while holding her head. Even now he is tugging at his hair and his face continues to turn pale.

"Ichi! Calm down! "

"Will they be able to face Tsukumo's subordinates? Can they go home without losing their lives? "

“ICHIII!!!”

Not long after, President approached both of them. “What are you guys doing?”

Iori’ face became paler. His eyes become teary. “I-Ichi!”

President looked towards the TV in front of Yamato and Iori. He lowered his head, "Souka." Not long after, he opened his eyes, (his red eyes were visible, "I'll prepare myself to help you defeat Tsukumo and his men. You two stay here. Don't following the rest of your units. Tell Riku-kun not to go to that place too. I'll go there with Banri-kun and Re: vale. " Then, the President started to walk away.

Both Yamato and Iori widened their eyes. "Y-You aren't mad?" President stopped his steps, "I'm totally mad. You guys doing dangerous things without my permission. The things you do are very reckless. I'll forgive you this time. But, if you do something like this again, I will disperse your unit." The President continues to walk away

"N-No ..." said Iori. Yamato was aware of Iori's disappointment, so he stroked his head, "We can't repeat the time, Ichi. So, all we can do is find solutions to the problems that occur."

Iori turned his eyes to Yamato, "But ..."

"For now, use your brilliant brain to make a new plan, Ichi," said Yamato to calm Iori.

Iori closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he calmed down, he looked at the CCTV footage and thought of a new plan according to Yamato's order.

“What?!” Yuki widened his eyes when the President called him. “Yeah. But...” Yuki stayed silent again. Then, he sighed and said, “Okay, I’ll meet you there.”

After regulate his breath (he was training with Momo just now) , Riku approached Yuki, “What’s wrong, Yuki-san?”

“Papa Takanashi asked for our help to defeat Tsukumo and his subordinates,” said Yuki.

Riku widened his eyes, “I-It means...” Riku lowered his head and his face turned pale, “We failed...”

“Failed? What do you mean?” asked Momo when he approached Riku.

“Guh! Kuso!” Riku ran and opened the entrance door roughly, “Arigato, Re:vale-san!” and he left them.

“Chotto, Riku-kun/Riku!” said Re:vale at the same time. Momo opened the door again to find Riku but he couldn’t find him.

Riku’ POV:

Kuso!! If I could use the teleportation skill, I wouldn't need to run like this! And why the hack is raining right now?! Luckily Re:vale-san has taught me many things to prevent my asthma from recurring so I won't get any attacks

15 minutes has passed ... I have jumped past various buildings... Gladly, I remembered where Tsukumo 'headquarter is and way to it. Come on, run faster my feets!!!

"Lightning skill: Sp—" Eh? A portal... suddenly appeared from below?!

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I'm falling from the sky. The ground is nearer. I spread my right hand and three kunais came out from it. I aimed it at the ground, "Wind skill: Air thread!" and throwing my kunais down. The three of my kunais danced to and made an invisible net. When I fell on it, I look floating.

"Deactivate," slowly, I sat down on the ground. I looked around me. Where am I? This is not Tsukumo 'Headquarter.

I stood up. AH!

Luckily, I was able to catch it. An arrow hovering right to the side of my head. I look in the direction where the arrow was sent. I widened my eyes.

Gladly, Iori always tells me the results of their investigation. So, I know who intends to fish me with arrows.

He is ... One of Tsukumo's best sunordinates! Inumaru Toma!

I made a new fanfic (Indonesia language) titled Song of Desperation. It's kind of another version of Song of Hope and much darker (as you can see from the title and you'll see the desperate Riku there). So, for you guys that is from Indonesia, please read it if you guys don't mind!😆
