"Give up Eggman!" Sonic said after he destroyed another one of Eggman's robots. "Like every time you'll be sitting in a pile of busted robot parts in the end." Sonic stated and used his homing attack to destroy a robot that was about to shot at him. "This time you can't win, you blue nuisance!" Eggman replied angrily. "You say this all the time, but you always fail." Sonic said with a cheeky grin. "Why you little-" "Sonic stop mocking around and help me take out these guys." Shadow snorted as he smashed another bot into pieces. "You're no fun either!" Sonic replied, still with his cheeky grin. "Sonic, I'm serious!" Shadow snapped and shot Sonic a death glare but quickly returned his attention to the robot that was approaching him. Sonic was about to say something back, but he saw an Egg Pawn rising his weapon behind Shadow, who was still battling the other robot. Before the Egg Pawn had the chance to shot, it got hit by Sonic, who made a huge hole through it's torso. "See, Shadow! I still pay attention and rescue your sorry butt!" Sonic mocked and stood heroically over the smashed bot. "Cut the chatter and fight already!" Shadow said angrily as he defeated the last Egg Pawn. 

"If you haven't noticed, I destroyed as many robots as you, probably even more than you, Shads!" Sonic snarled back and crossed his arms, mimicking his counterpart. "How often do I have to tell you to not calling me Shads." Shadow growled and Sonic got his cheeky grin back on his face. "As you wish Shadster." Sonic grinned over at Shadow who got angrier with ever second. "Sonic, stop annoying me." Shadow yelled and tried to hold his temper. "What's wrong Faker?" Sonic mocked again. "You're the faker, Faker!" Shadow shouted. "No you are" Sonic shouted.

While the two speedy hedgehogs were arguing, Dr. Eggman saw this as the perfect opportunity to eliminate his blue enemy once and for all. "Those two idiots are so stupid. Instead of arguing they should better look out for what will hit them." Eggman thought and activated his newest weapon. "As soon as this baby is full charged, you'll never be a pain-in-the-butt ever again, you blue nuisance." Eggman thought with a grin on his face as he waited for his new weapon to be full charged. 

"Without me you would have been shot already!" Sonic shouted at Shadow. "Says the one who just runs into battles without any plans. You would have been dead about ten times if it wasn't for your friends." Shadow shouted back. "That's not true. I may not have any plans before I head into battles but I make some while I'm fighting, you ultimate slowpoke." Sonic shouted back, not aware of what Eggman was doing behind him. Shadow however noticed the evil Doctor's weapon, which was on full charge by now. Dr. Eggman aimed at Sonic and pulled the trigger. A red laser beam was shot out of the pistol. "Sonic look out." Shadow yelled and jumped at Sonic to push him out of the way, unfortunately for him, he was hit instead. "AUHK" Sonic heard as Shadow got hit and saw how his black doppelganger flew into some bushed. "Shadow!" Sonic said worried but turned his attention back to the evil doctor and the new robot that was still standing. "You'll regret this Eggman!" Sonic shouted and quickly destroyed the huge bot. "This isn't over. I'll be back!" Eggman yelled as he flew away in his Eggmobil. 

With Eggman finally out of the way, Sonic rushed to the bushed where Shadow landed a minute ago. "Shads? You okay? Where are you Faker?" Sonic said as he was searching through the bushes but there was no sign of Shadow. "Come on Shadow, that's not funny! Where are you." Sonic said again, this time a bit louder. "Shadow?" Sonic yelled again but no reply. "Hmmm, maybe he chaos controlled away somewhere." he thought. "Yeah, he probably did that." Sonic said and ran off.

*time skip*

"Amy, I'm back." Sonic yelled as he entered his and his girlfriend's house. "Oh Sonic, I'm so glad you're back. I was so worried." Amy said while she gave her blue boyfriend a death hug. "Yeah but could you please release me? It's getting hard to breath." Sonic said as he tried to get some air into his lungs. "Okay." Amy replied and let go of Sonic. "So what crazy robot had Eggman this time?" Amy asked curiously. "Just a new huge bot and some Egg Pawns. And Eggman almost shot me but Shadow pushed me away and took the shot instead." Sonic replied and Amy gasped. "Is he okay?" Amy asked worried. "I don't know, he flew in some bushes and I smashed Eggman's robot and his new pistol into pieces before I looked for Shadow. But he must have chaos controlled himself somewhere, because I couldn't find him." Sonic said and Amy nodded. "You have to thank him for saving you, the next time you see him." Amy replied and Sonic nodded, already knowing that Amy will force him to do it, if he liked it or not.

*In Eggman's base*

Eggman entered his fortress and walked into his lab. "Huh, what are those noises?" Eggman asked himself and opened the door. "What's going on in here?" Eggman asked as he saw Orbot and Cubot chasing something. "Boss this little fluff ball suddenly appeared in the lab and we wanted to take it but it seems he's scared off us." Orbot said as Cubot was still trying to catch whatever was in Dr. Eggman's lab. "So that's what the machine was doing." Eggman said in realization. "Hah, gotcha!" Cubot said as he finally catched that "fluff ball". "But I have no time for dealing with him. Orbot, Cubot put him in a box and leave him outside!" Dr. Eggman commanded and got back to his work. 

*later outside*

"There's no way we just abandon the little one here." Orbot said. "Then let's give him to Amy. She likes animals right?" Cubot suggested. "Good idea Cubot. Come on, let's go." Orbot said. The two quickly made their way to Amy's house and put the box on the door step. Cubot knocked on the door and the two robots quickly hide behind some bushes. 

Amy opened the door and looked outside but nobody was there. "Hello?" Amy asked but didn't get an answer. "That was weird." Amy said and was about to close the door as she spotted the box on her door step. Amy took the box and it shook slightly as she made her way back into the living room where her boyfriend was waiting. "What's in their Ames?" Sonic asked curiously. "I don't know but it was shaking slightly." Amy said and put the box on the coffee table. She took off the top and Sonic and Amy had a surprised look on their faces. "Shadow?" they asked at the same time.
