[Angelica POV]

For years I have been researching a way to cure diseases and fatal viruses, that could kill us all. So far, all of my research, was failed attempts, but today would change everything for me... everything.

One day, I got word from my fellow Scientist, Dr. Kathryn Harris, that some diggers found a body, that was in a graveyard, but it was still a fresh corpse. The diggers already had him in the lab, and I made my way over there as quick as a one night stand. When I arrived at the lab, Kathryn and I analyzed the body. After a few minutes examination, we were amazed at what we discovered.

"Do you see this? This is... strange, I have never seen blood like this before." I say with astonishment.

"Yeah, same here." Says Kathryn.

"Okay, start an X-ray view, boot up the scanner." Kathryn runs the body through the scanner, and we see the body's anatomical structure.

"So what do you think?" Asks Kathryn.

"I don't know, the body is still functioning on it's own, despite him being buried alive." How is that possible.

"I may have to do some more research, but I will call you with the news." Says Kathryn.

"Okay, fair enough." I say while getting my keys.

"Hey, um... I know you've had it rough this year, losing your father, your mother, that can break a normal person." Says Kathryn.

"Well, it has been a rocky road for me, but I'm getting through it, slowly." I say to her.

"Just remember, even a person that has been through the rough, can still find peace in the end." Kathryn says to me. I smile at her, and I depart from the lab. During my drive home, I think about my parents, they were always proud of me, and I always tried to impress them... but now that they are gone, I felt that I have lost my two compasses in life, and that I have lost my way.

I know the saying, "people die, move on, get over yourself." Most people are right, but they are wrong about one thing, you never get over the death of a loved one, I don't care how old you are, you lose someone you love, it leaves a hole that can never be filled again.

I do science now, to bury the pain that I had experienced, I made a promise, to not cry or mourn, until I find whatever, or whoever was responsible for killing them. The blood sample, that I took from the specimen, may give me some clues about my parents death.

I take the sample down into my home lab, and I run some tests. After two hours of testing, I finally have some results. I take a look at the results, and I was a little taken back by the revelation. The specimen that we found, is not just a human, but half. I then read further into the results, and it reveals that this DNA splicing is from another age, another century. From several books I've read, it looks like this could be a Vampire.

For a long time, I thought that Vampires were myths, old tales used to scare children or tourists. I don't know if this is true, but I am not going to dismiss the possibility, that a Vampire killed my mom and dad, and if that is true, I need to find out why.

[Alucard POV]

I wake up inside a strange room, filled with flasks and multicolored liquids. Wait... something feels different, what am I doing here? As a matter of fact... who am I? I walk over towards a mirror, taking a glance at my reflection. I see that I have sharpened teeth inside of my mouth. Suddenly I hear footsteps, in the distance. I then try to find a place to either hide, or escape. I hide inside a ventilation shaft, and I overhear a voice talking on the other side of the door.

"Hello? Hey Angelica, what is it? What? You must be crazy, there are no such thing as... Okay, I will look at your tests tomorrow morning. Wait, you're on your way here now? Okay, I will see you when you get here. Bye."

Who was that voice talking to? What is this all about? I have to get out of here.

I silently crawl through the vent, and I escape into a dark alleyway. When I get out into the open, I look around and see, some kind of four wheeled vehicles and bright lighted structures. A man walks up to me, dressed in an all black attire, wondering where I was from.

"Hey there mister, are you okay?" He asks me.

"Where am I? What year is this?" I ask.

"Well, it is 2017 this year." Says the man.

"Where am I?" I asked the man.

"You're in New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana. Hey look, why don't we get you some help..." I bite the man, without a second thought. As blood spews from his neck, I feel it transfer into my body.

Distraught over the sight of the man's mutilated body, caused me to run further down the street. While I was running, I was suddenly hit by something, made out of metal. I hit a glass object and all I could see, was two lights, as I hit the ground. I then hear a muffled voice speak to me.

"Oh my god! Are you okay? Please don't die, please don't die!"  I slip into unconsciousness, still wondering where I am, and what am I supposed to do?
