[Maric POV]

Darkness, it covers me like an old friend. My whole life I have been surrounded by darkness, taken in by the shadows of evil. I was born, shaped and molded by the sounds of pain and suffering, Alucard is just like me, born from pain and despair.

As I stand in the middle of a forest, thinking about my plan, Yelton comes bearing news of high importance.

"Master, forgive me if I am intruding." Says Yelton.

"You may speak Yelton." I reply to him.

"Everything is set, what do we do now?" Asks Yelton.

"We wait, all will be revealed in good time." I say.

"Alucard has not yet come out of hiding..." Says Yelton.

"It seems that you simply fighting him is not enough. Target the people closest to him." I say.

"As you wish..." Says Yelton.

[Angelica POV]

Vampires, monsters, Witches, what the hell have I gotten myself into with this? Ever since I took a sample of Drakes blood, a lot of things have been revealed to me, things that I never thought possible.

Who would have thought that a lowly scientist like me, would come into contact with a Vampire hybrid? I guess everything happens for a reason.

"Feeling okay?" Asks Alucard, who sits to the right of me.

"Yeah, I'm just still letting this sink in. This is all so unreal... Your father, is the Lord of All Vampires." I say.

"Oh believe me, I was just as shocked as you are when I found out. It's crazy to think that all this time, I was one of you, only to find out that I was just as different." Says Alucard.

"Yeah, the truth can be a bitch sometimes." I say, making Alucard laugh.

"Can I ask you a question?" Asks Alucard.

"I'm all ears..." I say.

"Do you believe in God?" Asks Alucard.

"Yes, I may be a Scientist, but I am also Agnostic." I reply.

"What does Agnostic mean?" Asks Alucard.

"It's a person who has belief in multiple religions. I see myself as a woman of faith, compared to most religious groups." I say.

"Before I found out who I was,  I always questioned the existence of God. Now that I know who I am, I realize that God sees me as The Son Of the Demon." Says Alucard.

"That's what your father was called, in the book he was referred to two names. Son of The Demon, and his most important title, Son of the Dragon." I say.

"What do you think defines me?" Asks Alucard.

"I guess that's for you to find out..." I say to him.

I then get a text from my boss and it says to meet her at the lab.

"I have to go, my boss needs me at the lab." Says Angelica.

"I can go with you, you know it's not safe out there with a Vampire still at large." Says Alucard.

"I'll be fine." I say to him softly.

"At least let Gregory go with you, it will put me at ease knowing you have someone with you." Says Alucard.

"Okay, I'll see you soon..." I say.

As I walk away with Gregory, I look back at Drake, even though I know his real name, I still prefer to call him his previous one. As I look back at him, I can see how much he has changed since I known him.

60 minutes later, I make it to the lab and my boss meets me at the elevator door.

"What took you so long?" Kathryn says.

"Had something to take care of." I reply.

"Well at least you're here, better late than never, I found a connection to our mutilated bodies." Says Kathryn.

"So did I, show me the body." I say to her.

We then get off of the Elevator and she shows me the torn up body.

"Who is that next to you?" She asks.

"His name is Gregory Taylor, he is a friend." I reply.

"Nice to meet you Ms. Harris. You have a nice lab." Says Gregory.

"Um... Thank you, I guess." Says Kathryn.

Kathryn then shows me the body along with the test results. The results came back the same as when I tested Alucard's blood.

"Kathryn, is this true?" I ask.

"Yeah, crazy isn't it? A Vampire is the cause of these attacks? Ridiculous." Says Kathryn.

Kathryn then looks at me laughing, but she then notices that I am not doing the same.

"You're not laughing? You believe this crap?" Asks Kathryn.

"Kathryn, listen to me..."

As I try to explain the situation to her, the lights in the lab go dark. It is complete pitch black in the building, as many of the other people start to panic.

"Did we just lose power?" Asks Kathryn.

"Gregory, what was that?" I ask.

"Maric, he's here!" Says Gregory.

"What?!" I shout.

"Stay quiet! You two need to get out of here, I will hold him off as best I can." Says Gregory.

"Come on Kathy! We need to go!" I say to her.

I then grab Kathy by her wrist and we go out the back door, leaving Gregory to deal with the invading Vampires.

[Gregory POV]

I then take out my two blades, preparing myself for whatever comes through that door. The door opens and a tall Vampire walks through the door. His appearance is in the form of an Hispanic man, as if he was chiseled out of granite.

"Ahhhh... So, you are the hunter that was seen with Alucard. I had a feeling you would be here." Says The Vampire.

"And you are?" I ask.

"Yelton... Faithful servant to Maric!" Says The Vampire.

Yelton then engages me in combat, I manage to block his attacks, but he proves to be a very feral opponent. I try to stab him with my blades, but Yelton punches me in the abdomen, and he roundhouse kicks me in the jaw, sending me flying through the wall.

I then try to get up, but Yelton grabs me and he holds me up towards him.

"Such a dissapointment, I had hoped for a challenge at least." Says Yelton.

I then grab a piece of light and I stab it through Yelton's eye. As Yelton screams in pain, I grab my blades and I slice up the tendons in his legs and arms, before locking him in a Rear Naked Choke.

While I had Yelton in the hold, I stabbed him in the neck with my two blades and I decapitated him, by twisting the blades in a counterclockwise fashion, before ripping the head off of Yelton's shoulders.

"So much for you, suckhead!" I say to the corpse.

I then go off to find Angelica, before Maric finds her. I only hope I find her first.

When I get to her location, I see that Angelica and Kathryn are nowhere to be found. I was too late.

[Angelica POV]

Kathryn and I then run down into the basement area of the University, and we hide in the generator area. I then hear footsteps in the shadows, and I then see a man with a black coat walking towards me and Kathryn.

As he walks towards us, the lights in the generator area begin to explode. I then feel a crawl of terror rush through my body as this mysterious man approaches me.

"Kathryn, go to this place, get help!" I say to her.

Kathryn then runs the opposite way, but the mysterious man grabs her by her hair. I then pick up a steel pipe, and I hit the man in the back of his head. He then turns to me and gives me an evil smile.

"Sleep..." He says to me. I then lose control of my body, and I begin to lose consciousness. As I fade away, I get a glimpse of his face once again. How terrifying...

Moments later, I wake up inside of a decaying room of some kind. I then look at my hands, and I see that they are tied up in chains to a pole. I then see that Kathryn is tied up in the same manner as I am.

"You okay Kathy?" I ask.

"Yeah... I'm fine. Where the hell are we?" She asks.

"I don't know, but we need to get out of here!" I say to her.

Suddenly, a door opens and the man who put me to sleep earlier, walks in and stares into my eyes. I could see nothing but emptiness, it was like staring into a black hole of evil.

"How are you two hanging?" The man asks. I say nothing to him.

"Where are my manners, forgive me... My name is Maric, I am sure you have heard of me." He says.

"Dracula must have told you about me, how I have no conscience for Human Blood, that I am an Animalistic Predator. He is right, but I do see that I have use for you two." Says Maric.

"Word on the street is that you know where Dracula's son is. That's good, I want him to find me, so that we can move to the next stage of our plan." Says Maric.

Maric then unchains me, and he grabs me by my hair, dragging me away. Just where is he taking me? He then takes me outside, where he is surrounded by a group of people dressed in black.

"You will be coming with us, I see that Dracula's baby boy has taken a liking to you..." Says Maric.

He then speeds off with me in his hands, his followers then speed after him. Just where is he taking me? We then arrive at a park and he throws me to the ground.

"Do you know where you are standing? You are standing on the eve of a new age. An age where we will eliminate your kind." Says Maric.

"And who will be this revolutions savior? You?" I ask.

"No, not me sweet cheeks. I am just the messenger. And the message, has been sent." Says Maric.

I then see a man in a hood walk towards me, and I feel this chill go down my spine.

"Hello Angelica..." He says to me.

[Gregory POV]

I followed the trail of Maric's aura to a park in New Orleans, I stay within distance, on top of a skyscraper. To my shock, I see Dracula's longtime advisor Icarus along with them. Why is he there? What is going on here?

I then sneak away, thinking about what I just saw. Just what is Icarus planning? Why is he working with Maric?

I then make my way back to the church, and  I inform Dracula and his son about what happened.

"Dracula, I have news!" I say.

"What is it my friend?" Asks Dracula.

"Icarus has betrayed you! He is working with Maric!" I say.

"What? Do not toy with me Gregory! Is what you say true?!" Dracula asks me.

"I have seen it myself! He was working with Maric this whole time. He even has Angelica, he is trying to weed out Alucard." Says Gregory.

"He has Angie?" Asks Alucard.

"I am so sorry, I couldn't save them..." I say.

"What do you mean by them?" Asks Alucard.

"They also took Angie's boss, I don't know where they are keeping her captive." I say to them.

Suddenly, the church door opens, and Kathryn limps her way in, her clothes torn and her arm covered in blood.

"Kathy, are you okay?" Asks Alucard.

"They took her... Th... They..." Kathryn struggles.

"Shhhh... Don't speak." Says Alucard.

"Drauhl, get her to the medical room!" Says Dracula.

"No! There is only one place to take her..." Says Alucard.

"The Witches?" Says Drauhl.

"They can heal her." Says Alucard.

"They will not interfere in the affairs of the damned!" Says Dracula.

"Father, she's dying! If we don't take her to the Witches now, she is going to bleed out in the middle of the floor." Says Alucard.

"Drauhl, go with him to the Witches. I am going to find Icarus, and get some answers." Says Dracula.

Dracula then summons a swarm of bats and he flies off to find Icarus.

[Alucard's POV]

I then carry a dying Kathryn in my arms, and I rush off with Drauhl and Gregory to the forest, where the Witches reside. When we get there, we see them in deep meditation.

"Witches, I have come to bargin." I say to them.

"Ahhh... Dracula's little spawn, what are you doing here?" Asks Siedaa.

I then put down Kathryn's body in front of them, and they look on at her.

"I need you three to help her, she was attacked by a vampire." I say to them.

"At what time did this occur?" Asks Majara.

"Just three hours ago..." Says Drauhl.

The Witches then rise up and they signal us to stand back. They then draw a small pentagram around Kathryn, and they begin to chant in an ancient language.

While the Witches are chanting the ancient language, the pentagram them begins to ignite in flames, fully covering Kathryn. Moments later, the flames dissipate, and Kathryn's wounds are fully healed.

"She is fully healed, but this is not the only reason why you are here is it?" Asks Akra.

"No, we need your help..." I say to them.
