"Tess, you saw it, right?"

Pia and Brinley ran towards me and hugged me.

"I'm gonna fetch a glass of water, you take care of her, alright?", Celine stated and disappeared behind the door.

"Come on honey, let's move to the stairs where you can sit up straight, I'm so sorry this happened, this is partly my fault", Brinley looked worried while helping me up.

"Why would it be your fault?", I sobbed. We sat down on the stairs, tears still streaming down my face, both of my friends comforting me the whole time.

"I think that my plan might have given you too much hope and now it hurts even more, knowing that it didn't work."

"Yeah, still, it's definitely not your fault, don't you worry". I really tried to say in my regular voice, but failed.

"Oh my god! I heard what happened, this is totally my fault!" Phoenix. She was in my class for a few years and during that time we were really close friends, besties you could say, but since she changed school we practically never saw each other again. We solely kept our snapchat flames alive.

Why was everybody saying it was their fault? It was only mine and his fault, and maybe the alcohol's.

Phoenix took my hands and pressed them against her cheeks. "The person he kissed, she's a friend of mine and I told her to make out with him, I'm so so sorry!"

Okay, it was really partly her fault, but to her defence, she didn't know I was crushing on him.

"It's okay, I can't change it now anyway", I attempted to smile.

"You're crying, dear, oh my, don't you cry about that guy, you deserve someone so much better! You're such a beautiful, beautiful girl and don't you, especially you end up with a dude like him."

She was so cute, but it made my crying just worse, because I realised what a bad friend I was to her, never contacting her and asking her to meet up, after she changed school.

"Can I hit him? I really want to slap him", Pia added and made me laugh a little for the first time for the past minutes. "Don't, he wouldn't know why", I mumbled. "boys can be so blind sometimes"
