At a small village in Hell, hammer sounds were heard in a blacksmith's shop. There was a flame spirit/demon named Ignis he was crafting a sword to a warrior. He looked like this.

Ignis was a busy being who worked in his workshop day in and day out, 24/7 with little breaks. He inherited his father's job as he taught Ignis how to become a blacksmith and take over his job. He even gave his son his trusty hammer as a way to remember him as his father stepped into retirement. Ignis was done with the sword and gaved it to the warrior.

Warrior: Wow, thanks Ignis!

Ignis gave the warrior a thumbs up. He had everything, intelligence, strenght and bulk but the only down side is that he couldn't speak, he couldn't talk to anyone and that's why he only used a fire proof notepad and pencil to write what he thinks or wanted to say. The warrior paid Ignis for the sword and exited the workshop.

???: Hey Iggy! How's it going?

Then he turned and saw his friend Lighterium in the door.

Lighterium was Ignis' childhood friend, the two grew up spending time together until Lighterium had to leave the village for a black magic academy in Hell, while Ignis focused on becoming a blacksmith.
Ignis motioned for him to come inside. Lighterium then floated and then sat at a table.

Lighterium: So how's the business going?

Ignis grabbed his notepad and wrote to him as he sat on a chair.

"It's going well, how are you?"

Lighterium: I am fine myself, and poor Iggy still can't talk? I wish you could one day my friend.

Ignis then began writing to Lighterium again.

"I do hope so, also don't call me that"

Lighterium chuckled at his remark to the nickname. Ignis didn't like the nickname "Iggy", he prefered to be called by his actual name.

Lighterium: Alright sorry about that.

Ignis gave him a thumbs up, then suddenly a horse's scream was heard and the two went outside to see the demon lord Barbatos and a couple of soldiers of his.

Barbatos was like the equivalent of the devil himself, he rules Hell with an iron fist and demons and other spirits damned in Hell hated his rule and wanted change.

Barbatos: My my my, what do we have here?

He got off from his horse and stepped the ground as the villagers eyed him with a look of hatred. The village hated Barbatos with passion, they wanted him out of rule and wanted his rival, the Inheritor to take the throne, he was ruthless but also a bit more fair than Barbatos. Then the leader of the village approached him.

Leader: Lord Barbatos, what brings you here? Are you here for our taxes?
Barbatos: This time it's not for that, but I want something very valuable.
Leader: What could that be?

Barbatos smirked.

Barbatos: I want your village's personal blacksmith.

This shocked and enraged Ignis as he didn't want to leave his home.

Leader: Sorry my lord, but we can't do that. Ignis clearly started that he doesn't want to leave here.
Barbatos: I don't take no for an answer, he's coming with me whether he likes it or not.

Then Ignis was fuming with anger and stormed to scold Barbatos.

Lighterium: Wait Ignis, what are you-

Ignis then approached the two.

Leader: Ignis...
Barbatos: Look who decided to show up.

He fully turned to Ignis.

Barbatos: I want you to come with us to my kingdom, you will become my personal blacksmith and you will forge weapons for my army as we start expanding my kingdom throughout Hell.

Ignis nodded his head in a no ans this enraged Barbatos.

Barbatos: Stop fooling around Ignis, who needs this crumy village anyways while you have a kindgom filled with riches and power, I'll pay any price to have you with me.

Ignis then gave him a thumbs down and nodded his head in a no, he then motioned for the demon lord to leave the village.

Barbatos: You dare defy my orders you fool and you do you think you are to ask me to leave, I am the lord of Hell. I rule over the damned souls from the earth realm, I'll feed you to the hellhounds of you-

Ignis then punched Barbatos in the jaw and he stumbled and the villagers cheered for Ignis' act. Barbatos' soldiers and general drawed they're weapons.

General: How dare you hit my lord you foolish scum, I'll personally-

Barbatos motioned his hand the general stopped talking, the demon lord smiled and looked at the Flame spirit.

Barbatos: Very well, you want us to leave... We'll leave you alone... For now...

He turned his back.

Barbatos: Let's go!

He climbed his horse and he along with the soldiers left, except for the general. He gave Ignis one last look before leaving.

Lighterium: What did you just do?

He chuckled.

Lighterium: I didn't expect you to slap him like that.

He continued chuckling and Ignis then left for his workshop.

Lighterium: Hey, wait for me Iggy!

"Timeskip to nighttime"

Everyone in the village were asleep, Ignis was resting peacefully at his home, but then suddenly horse screames were heard and woke him up. He looked out of the window to see fire surrounding his village and Barbatos with his general along with soldiers started attacking innocent demons and spirits. Ignis ran out of the house and the same thing did Lighterium.

Lighterium: What the hell happened here?

The demonic soldiers began killing the villagers one by one until Barbatos saw the two.

Barbatos: There you are Ignis, I told you I always get what I want! Now come with me to my kingdom and I'll spare your village.

Ignis nodded his head in a no and went back to grab his hammer and charged to Barbatos but then suddenly his general stepped in front of the path and began coliding with the blacksmith.

General: I won't let you lay a hand on lord Barbatos, you firey fool!

The general tried to slice him with his sword but Ignis hit his hands and the sword flew away and Ignis hit the general in the jaw as it rendered him unconscious. Ignis then proceeded to bash the general's head before looking at the demon lord who smirked at him.

Barbatos: Bravo, not only you know how to forge weapons, but you are also an expirienced fighter and showed by murdering my good for nothing general. Join me and I'll give you the rank of a general if I have to.

Ignis nodded a no and began running away from the demon lord.

Lighterium: Hey wait for me!
Barbatos: After them!

He commanded his soldiers to go after the two running/floating from them.

Lighterium: What do you suggest we do?

Ignis then pulled out his notepad and began writing.

"We'll die like men than to serve a scum like Barbatos, he's brought nothing but shame to Hell and all it's past rulers"

Lighterium: Wow, I didn't knew you were into poetry. But all means, I don't wanna die, I have so much to live for.

The two stopped at a dead end, they turned around and saw the soldiers surrounding them and then Barbatos approaching them.

Barbatos: Ignis, I'll give you one last chance, join me or I'll turn your lovely village and those villagers into ash and then I'll have you executed for disobedience!

Ignis began writing on his notepad and then tore the paper and created a paper plane and threw it to Barbatos who caught it, he unveiled the note.

"Never! I rather die than believe a lie that is you!"

Barbatos: Guards, seize them and send them to the dungeons!

The guards tried to attack them, but Lighterium created a force field that block the guards.

Barbatos: Break the barrier and get them!
Soldier: Yes my lord.
Lighterium: What do we do now Shakespeare?

Ignis began writing again.

"They clearly want me, I will convince them to spare you and let them take me"

Lighterium: No, I don't want my childhood friend to be enslaved, there must be some- Wait! I have a plan.

Ignis motioned for him to explain it.

Lighterium: I'll open a portal for you to escape and start a new life, I'll hold them off for you as much as I can and then I'll later join you.

Ignis began writing.

"No, I can't leave you here, you'll just die"

Lighterium: No I won't, I am hard to kill dude. Now before you go I wanna give you something.

Ignis motioned for him to explain, Lighterium then created an orange like spell and then launched it at Ignis' chest ans he took it.

Lighterium: It's a sheild spell, your mind absorbed it and knows how to use it. Use it as much as you like because the power is limitless.

Ignis nodded.

Lighterium: Now are you ready to go?

Despite not having a face, Ignis is sad that he had to leave Lighterium and his now burned down village. Ignis nodded yes and Lighterium created a portal.

Lighterium: Get in buddy.

Before going through the portal, Ignis gave his friend a final hug before waving goodbye as the portal closed.

Barbatos: He has escaped!

Lighterium then shoved the soldiers back as they stumbled to the ground.

Lighterium: Come and get some chumps!
Barbatos: Get up you fools, capture him because he knows where he teleported Ignis.
Lighterium: You have to catch me first, Barba-toes.

He then teleported away as the demon lord grit his teeth.

Barbatos: No matter where you are Ignis, I'll find you and you will be mine!

"At Ignis' side"

He was inside the portal as he was flying, he was still sad that he had to leave his home but it was for the better. Then another portal opened and Ignis passed through it and landed on the ground with his hammer and notepad beside him. He looked where he was and he was in a desert, he knew where he exactly was..... In Earth, or as he knows it also as "The Mortal Realm"....
