"Who are you?..."

Savvy quickly pulled away, Ally and David followed not long after. "Your friends..." Savvy quietly stated with confusion written all over.

"Don't worry kids, the doctor said he was supposed to suffer from amnesia, it's only a little bit, and it's going to be over soon. We just have to show him pictures." Mr. Wilber answered confidently.

The kids nodded and started showing Jay the Instagram photos they had posted together, laughing at each face Jay liked to make in his photos. Jay was not amused. "I'm sorry... I don't understand..." Jay mumbled feeling guilty for hurting these people in this room.

The doctor walked in casually. "Would you kids mind getting off the bed so I can check up on him?" The kids agreed and moved to the couch next to the bed. "Don't worry, it's more of a mental health checkup." He turned to Jay. "Do you remember these people in the room?" Jay looked around the room fearfully, he looked at his mom, his dad, his friends, then the doctor. He shook his head. "Hm. This could be a little worse. But I suppose it adds up to this question. Do you know your name?" Everyone's hearts dropped to their stomach upon watching Jay look down and shake his head. The doctors eyes grew wide. "I recommend you leave, we're going to check his brain activity to see how severe this is."

"But we-" Ally was cut off upon the parents shutting the door of the room.

"Don't worry, he'll be alright, it's still only temporary, and you'll see him again later. Meanwhile let's get something to eat." Mr. Wilson said pushing a smile through, trying his hardest not to cry.

The kids nodded at the idea of going to eat, but the truth is they couldn't eat. Not because of the terrible hospital food, but because of the feeling that they were going to throw up. So many thoughts were rushing through each of their heads making each of them feel sick to their stomach.

<Time Skip>

After about two hours they walked back to the room upon getting a call from the doctor. They approached the door and the doctor opened it. "Would you kids please sit over on the couch outside the room? I must speak to his parents." They hesitantly nodded and moved to the couch hoping to hear at least a little more about Jay's condition. Sadly for them the doctor spoke in a quiet tone and you could on hear the whistle of his two front teeth every time he said a word with an S. "After a few brain scans we found that he will sadly be suffering from severe amnesia." The doctor took a deep breath before speaking again. "It's permanent." The doctor spit out the words, and Jay's parents gasped.

"No... run another scan." She mumbled before raising her voice. "Please! Do another scan! It's wrong!" Tears we're forming in her eyes. The kids on the couch knew there was something wrong. The kids were fidgeting more than before and they're gaze was locked on the situation. They could feel their hearts pounding against their chests. The doctor and Mrs. Wilson were arguing, they had to take her outside. The three of them sat there wide eyed.

The doctor walked over and apologized. "I'm sorry about that. It would probably be best if you guys left, Jay should be out of the hospital within one to two days." The kids looked at each other wanting to argue with the doctor but couldn't. They all nodded not being able to say a word and left.
