Narrator's POV

"What's going..." Stephen asked, but stopped once the dust began to clear. "...on." His heart skipped a beat when a figure began to form behind the dust.

"Where is he? Is he okay? Rogers." Tony voice came.

Stephen stood up, watching as the dust cleared, revealing Tony. "Tony?"

"Stephen?" Tony asked, looking at Stephen.

"Tony!" Stephen said.

Could it really be him?

"Stephen!" Tony smiled. He began to walk to him, slowly jogging.

"Tony!" Stephen smiled.

"Stephen!" Tony ran to him.

"Tony..." Stephen's smile faded, anger forming on his face.

"Stephen?" Tony asked, stopping.

"Tony!" Stephen shouted.

"Oh, shit!" Tony turned around and ran the opposite direction, away from Stephen.

Stephen was mad. No, he wasn't mad. He was fucking furious.

""No wonder I had a hard time breathing". Really?" Stephen shouted angrily as he raced after Tony.

Tony stopped at the edge of the building. He turned to the incoming Stephen. "Look, I know what you're thinking. It's not what it looks-Ah!"

"Ngh!" Stephen tackled Tony, pushing them off the roof. "Two years! Two fucking years!" Stephen summoned a yellow spear and began to beat at Tony's suit.

"Stephen, wait. I need t-Ah!" Tony shielded his mask with his arms right before Stephen could stick the spear in the helmet. "Let me turn the thrusters-Uh!"

They landed on the concrete below with a hard thud.

Tony's suit breaking Tony's fall.

Tony breaking Stephen's fall.

"I can't believe you!" Stephen began to beat at him again.

A crowd gathered around them.

"Alright, alright." Tony said, trying his best to avoid his helmet from being damaged.

A car pulled up next to the sidewalk.

Natasha came out of the car.

"Nat, help!" Tony yelped.

"In a bit." Natasha said.

"What?!" Tony shouted, looking at an angry Stephen through his helmet. "He's gonna kill me if I don't get him off."

"Argh!" Stephen kept trying to get past the suit. "If you're not dead, you will be soon!"

"What you did was really messed up." Natasha said.

~Tsss~

Tony's helmet popped off.

"Ah!" Tony gasped before receiving a punch in the face from Stephen.

"Ah." Tony hissed as he rubbed a napkin against his busted lip.

Stephen sat across from him in a table at Frank's deli.

Natasha sat next to Stephen for Tony's safety.

"Why?" Stephen asked.

"Why what?" Tony asked, looking down at the blood stained napkin.

"Two years. Two damn years." Stephen said, anger in his voice. "Why? Why would you do this?"

"You see, that's kinda hard to explain..." Tony said.

"I've got all night." Stephen said, leaning back in his chair.

"Well you see..." Tony began. "My father. I hardly like to talk about him because, urgh, he was such an asshole..." Tony rolled his eyes. "...he pissed off a lot of pe-"

"No." Stephen said. "Why? Why would you make me go through all this?"

"Well I was just-"

"I can't believe you're still alive." Stephen scoffed. "Who knew?" He asked.

"What?"

"Who else knew besides Natasha?" Stephen asked.

"Oh." Tony looked down. "Pepper knew." He said.

"Oh really?" Stephen asked, tilting his head, eyes wide open, anger in his voice.

"And Steve." Tony said.

"Oh really?" Stephen asked, a pitch higher this time. "You went ahead and told Steve, but not me?"

"I know what it looks like-" Tony said.

"You're on very thing ice right now." Stephen told him.

"No, this is just the floor." Tony told him, looking down at the floor.

"It's a metaphor."

"Don't you mean meta-floor?" Tony winked at Stephen.

Stephen chuckled lightly, looking down at his shoes.

Natasha tried her best to stop Stephen from reaching across the table and punching Tony again, but was too late.

"Stephen, wait-"

"Ow..." Tony groaned, holding yet another napkin up to his bleeding nose. "Is it swollen?" He asked Natasha.

"Oh, Tony." She shook her head. "He messed you up big time. Looks like you're gonna need surgery."

"Don't say that, please don't say that." Tony said.

"I didn't know Stephen had such rage in him." Natasha said. "The guy's come a long way since the last time I saw him." She said, looking at Stephen, who was pacing around in circles trying to let off some steam.

"Oh yeah. Trust me." Tony said. "He's come a long way." He saw, taking a bite from a cheeseburger.

"How can you be eating right now?" Stephen asked him.

"Trust me." Tony said. "I've eaten through worse."

"You are seriously fucked up in the head." Stephen said.

"You're just getting that now?" Tony asked.

"Oh, you..." Stephen approached, with his fists clenched.

"Alright, calm down." Natasha said, coming between them.

"Oh, just you wait til she's not here to protect your ass." Stephen said. "You're a dead man walking Anthony."

"Oh, come on. You wouldn't hurt a fly." Tony said.

"A fly no. You? Absolutely." Stephen said.

"Oh, you know you-"

"Tony, stop pressing our luck." Natasha said. "Stephen you need to calm d-"

"You know what I love?" Stephen asked.

"Me?" Tony asked.

"What? No, bitch." He said. "Chicken. I'm gonna go home and make me some very good chicken because it doesn't lie to me and leave my life for two years like a sick bastard." Stephen said.

"I don't think I like your attitude right now. It's bringing in some really negative vibes. I just came back from being away for two years, and I'm starting to think you're not very happy to see me." Tony said.

"You think?" Natasha asked Tony, still trying to hold Stephen back.

"Bitch." Stephen squinted at Tony.

"You know what? Blocked." Tony said. "You've been blocked."

"Hey, unblock me. I have something important to tell you." Stephen said.

"Unblocked." Tony said.

"You lying, backstabbing, cold hearted, careless son of a bitch." Stephen said.

"Alright!" Natasha shouted. "You two need to stop acting like children and have an adult conversation over this."

"Yeah. Nat's right-"

"Shut up Tony." Natasha said. "You need shut your mouth and listen to what he has to say. And Stephen, you need to calm down."

"Forget calming down." Stephen said. "He lied to me! I've been going to a mental institution for two years, a support group, and was gonna throw myself off a roof today." Stephen said.

"You were?" Tony asked.

"Yes. Just thinking about all of this makes me want to go do it right now, maybe even do a flip." Stephen said.

"Stephen, no." Natasha said.

"Oh, calm down." Stephen responded to her. "I'm not gonna take my life and cause people pain like someone who's standing right in front of me." Stephen said, looking at Tony.

"Ah! Natasha...you wouldn't." Tony looked at Natasha.

"This really isn't the time, Tony." She said.

"Fuck you." Stephen said, stepping away from Natasha, looking at Tony. "You know what? You're not worth it."

"Stephen, wait-"

Stephen opened a portal and walked right through, lifting a finger in the air.

The portal closed.

"That didn't go too well." Tony said.

"You think?" Natasha looked back at him.
