A New Job
Narrator's POV
"Strange now that you don't have a job, you have plenty of time to watch over the Sanctum." Wong said, walking around Stephen's kitchen. He could hear hurried steps around the Sanctum. "What's the hurry?"
"Hah!" Stephen stopped by the kitchen quickly. "Wong, do you know how to tie a tie?" He asked.
Stephen was in his undergarments wearing a white t-shirt with a lose tie around his neck. He wore calf length white socks.
"I haven't worn one in so long I forgot how to work them." Stephen said.
"Why don't you just look it up on YouTube?" Wong asked. "You just gotta type the-"
Stephen raised his trembling hands slowly.
"Right." Wong said. "Fine." He put a piece of bread in his mouth and walked over to Stephen, working on the tie. "Why do you even need a tie?" He asked.
"I'm going to work." Stephen said.
Wong looked up at him. "I thought you quit your job?"
"Well I did, but then I got offered another." Stephen said.
Wong raised a brow.
"But don't worry. This one won't be as bad at the other. These hours shorter." He said.
"What is this exactly?" Wong asked.
"Pediatrician." Stephen said.
"You're telling me you're gonna work with children now?" Wong asked.
"Well, yeah." Stephen shrugged.
"But they're full of booger's and germs. They cry and scream." Wong said. "Children are like evil entities, just smaller."
Stephen rolled his eyes. "You were a child once too, Wong."
"At least I looked both ways before crossing the street." Wong said.
"Alright, watch it." Stephen said. "I'll remind you that's my toast you're eating."
"There." Wong said, pulling away.
Stephen looked down at his tie.
It was a perfect ball of knots.
Stephen couldn't tell where it began or where it ended.
It was just a ball.
"Uh...thanks, pal."
"You're welcome, Strange." Wong said, going back to the kitchen.
Stephen opened a portal to his room to change quickly. He looked around for something decent that didn't require a tie.
Aha!

"What time did you say you started?" Wong asked, looking into Stephen's fridge for something good to eat.
Stephen only had healthy food.
"I have to be there in an hour or so." Stephen said, walking down the staircase, carrying a white mug.
"And how long do you-" Wong stopped when he laid eyes on Stephen. "What happened to the tie?" He asked.
Stephen was wearing a nice white sweater pull over, he rolled the sleeves up a little with some blue jeans and some brown leather shoes.
"Um..." Stephen looked away, putting his mug up to his lips. "It wasn't working for me." He said, sipping his tea now.
"Hm." Wong turned his back to him and looked in the cabinets. "I thought it was rather nice looking. Anyway, you have any good around here?" Wong asked.
"I'm afraid I have to do a bit of shopping." Stephen chuckled lightly.
>knock< >knock<
"Stephennnn~" Came a voice at the door.
Wong shot a glance at Stephen.
"Is that-"
"The Milkman!" Stephen said. "Yup! The milk man, he comes here very often because you know..." He was slowly backing up to the door. "I run out of things very quickly, and I don't have time to shop." He reached for the doorknob. "Let me just talk to him, real quick." Stephen said. He opened a small crack in the door.
"Good morning Wiz-"
"Sh!" Stephen pinched Tony's lip shut with his fingers. "What are you doing here? You're not suppose to be here!" Stephen whispered.
Tony pulled his lips out of Stephen's pinching fingers. "What? I can't come see my boyfriend?"
Stephen's head perked up, his cheeks blushing. "Your boyfriend."
"Yeah." Tony said. "My boyfriend. You're my boyfriend."
"Stephen-"
"Oh, don't worry about it Wong. He's got some intel on some stuff that happened around the neighborhood." Stephen said.
Stephen placed a hand over Tony's mouth.
Tony smiled under Stephen's trembling hand, slowly sneaking his tongue out of his mouth.
"There's a break in soMEWHERE-Urgh!" Stephen turned back to Tony when he felt something wet touch his palm. "Did you just lick my hand?" He pulled away from Tony.
"Yup." Tony said. "Let me come in."
"I can't. You know that. Plus I have to go to work in about an hour." Stephen said.
"Stephen. Let me innnn." Tony whined.
"Okay, look. You can come over later tonight. I just need you to stay away right now." Stephen said. "You're gonna get me in trouble."
"Only under one condition." Tony said.
"What?" Stephen asked, desperate for Tony to leave.
"You have to give me a kiss." Tony said. "On the lips."
"What? Now? No way." Stephen said.
"Then I'm not leaving this doorstep." Tony said, planting his feet in the ground.
"Strange what are you doing?" Wong asked.
Stephen turned to the sound of his voice.
Wong's footsteps coming closer.
Stephen turned back to Tony. "Fine." Stephen said, kissing Tony's lips, quickly pulling away. "Okay, now leave."
"Now with tongue." Tony said.
"What? You said just a kiss." Stephen said.
"Stephen." Wong's voice came.
"I won't leave until I have your tongue in-"
"LEAVE!" Stephen hissed.
"Fine!" Tony jumped back a little. "Jesus."
"Sorry." Stephen said. "Love you." He said.
"I love you too." Tony said, giving him a wink.
Stephen gave him a smile as Tony made his way to his car.
"Strange."
"AH!" Stephen jumped when he heard a voice near his ear.
Wong stood right behind him.
"Wong." He said, giving his sorcerer friend a nervous smile. "You scared me."
"You and the milkman seem to be talking for a while." Wong said.
"Yeah, I like to converse...since I don't have very much company." Stephen said.
"You didn't even get any milk." Wong raised a brow.
"Um, I forgot?" Stephen said.
Wong sighed, shaking his head. "Stephen..." He said.
Stephen braced himself.
"Are you screwing the milkman?" Wong asked.
"Uh..." Stephen looked around, sweat forming on his forehead. He was already cornered.
He swallowed. "Yes." He answered. "I am screwing the milkman." Stephen said. "You caught me."
"Hm." Wong said. "I thought you'd be more of a deli meats guy."
"What?" Stephen said. "I like deli meats. I go down to Frank's deli often. I love their subs." Stephen said. "They stuff them really good."
Wong shook his head as he headed for the kitchen.
"I could take you some time." Stephen said.
"Forget it, Strange." Wong said.
"No, Wong." Stephen said. "Come baaaaaaaack." He said reaching his hand out to Wong.
"Don't you have somewhere to be in about an hour?" Wong asked.
"Blast!" Stephen said. "You're right. Thanks Wong." He said, dashing out the door.
