Farewell Mommy and Daddy Dear

"You look so handsome," Haruhi smiled, kissing Tamaki lightly before he ran to get in line. The entire graduating class was in line to sit down before walking on stage and receiving their diplomas. Haruhi plopped down beside me in the stands and pouted. "He's still such a flirt," she pouted as she watched a few girls fawning over him. "Jealous, are we?" I teased, elbowing her playfully.  "I'm not jealous!" she snapped. She straightened in her seat and smoothed out her blouse. "What do I have to be jealous of? He's MY boyfriend." Hikaru and Kaoru popped up behind us. "That's right," Kaoru began. "So stop being jealous," Hikaru finished. She just crossed her arms and grumbled incoherently. They had only been together three months, and we were all still betting on who'd drop the L bomb first. We were sure it would have been Tamaki. Hikaru and Kaoru bet on Tamaki saying it in the first week. I had bet on Haruhi to say it by the end of the month when they got together in January.

Mr. Suoh took the stage and began the long process of opening the commencement ceremony and calling students to the stage. We clapped and cheered (Hikaru and Kaoru were smartasses and booed). "Kyoya Ootori," Mr. Suoh eventually announced. We heard polite applause and watched his family stand, but we went absolutely nuts. Honey and Mori were in the top stands, Honey on his shoulders as they cheered. Kyoya looked up in the stands toward us and, for the first time I can remember, he grinned. His smile was ear-to-ear as he shook Mr. Suoh's hand and walked back to his seat. I could just barely spot Tamaki in the crowd of graduates, sobbing. This was a big day for the host club. Our president and vice president were leaving, and the new leaders would be chosen.

It felt like the ceremony dragged on endlessly until, finally, Tamaki stood and Mr. Suoh smiled proudly at the audience. "It brings me joy to present this diploma to my son, Tamaki Suoh. Come on up here my boy," he said, his voice wavering a bit. Tamaki gracefully made his way to the stage and received his diploma. He reached out to shake his hand, and Mr. Suoh did something that surprised us all: he pulled his son into a hug-- a genuine, loving hug. The host club stood in the bleachers, hollering and screaming wildly. "Way to go, Boss!" the twins shouted. "We're proud'ah you!" I yelled. "Yay Tamaki! I love you!!" Haruhi screamed, her eyes going wide with shock before slapping her hand over her mouth. Michael nudged her playfully, turning to us with a smirk. "I win. I bet she would say it on graduation day," he said over the now-dying sound of the crowd.

We were all sitting at Tamaki's house, lounging in the theater room after graduation. Kyoya was still in his cap and gown; Tamaki had taken his off as soon as we left the school, and Haruhi was now wearing his cap lopsided on her head. "Tamaki, when are we gonna find out?" Jess whined. "Y'know, I heard you," Tamaki murmured. Haruhi looked up at him, blushing brighter red than the seats we were in. "Y-you did?" she stammered. He laughed, pulling her into his arms. "Yeah, I did. And I love you, too," he replied. They were sitting close, ignoring us as always. "Ahem!" Kaoru coughed, throwing a handful of potato chips at them. "Boss, this is a club meeting. Serious stuff, remember?" Hikaru sighed. He snapped his attention back to us, pulling away from Haruhi with a bright red blush on his face. "O-oh, right! Where were we?" Kyoya pushed his glasses up and took a seat on the opposite side of Tamaki, pulling out his black book. "Who's it gonna be Tama-chan?" Honey asked eagerly, hanging over the back of my seat. "Yeah, who?" Mori chimed in, leaning forward in his seat anxiously. Time seemed to stand still as the host club held their collective breath with anticipation. "Well, we've been considering this for a while now," Tamaki began, Kyoya picking up where he left off, "and we have, together, come to the conclusion that the host club's new president and vice president will be--"

"Adrienne and Haruhi," they said in unison. We stared at them in shock, the rest of our friends applauding. Kyoya fixed his icy gaze on me and smirked. "What is it, Adrienne? Do you not want to be vice president?" I threw myself at Kyoya and Tamaki, hugging them tight. Tamaki's killer bear hugs had nothing on my grip. "No, no, I'm...honored!" I cried. Kyoya patted me gently and I looked at him with an equally amused smirk. "Thank you...Mommy and Daddy," I whispered. Did I say Tamaki's bear hugs were nothing? Yeah, I lied. The boy squeezed the life out of me as he sobbed. "MY PRECIOUS LITTLE GIRL! DADDY IS SO PROUD OF YOU! YOU'RE GOING TO BE AN AMAZING VICE PRESIDENT!!" he wailed.

He ran around the theater, clutching me like a baby doll while the rest of the hosts (and former hosts) just watched us. "As acting VP of the host club, my first order of business is HELP ME!" I gasped. Hikaru and Haruhi are the ones who took action in trying to pry Tamaki off of me while everyone else laughed. Yeah, it was good to finally be in charge...not.

Hope you like this chapter! So, I may have lied when I said it would be a week before I updated. BUT, I am busy and I don't know when I'll be able to update or work on the next chapters. I guess whenever I have free time. Bear with me though people. 24 chapters down, 6 to go. ^_^
