Chapter 7
--A week later--
"George, don't you dare!" I pointed my finger at him.
"Then say it," George took a step closer to me.
There was no way I'm going to say how sexy George looked.
"No!" I stuck out my tongue at him.
"Here I come!" George ran at me.
I yelped and ran downstairs to his livingroom. But George was faster. He grabbed my waist and pulled me on the couch. And the worst part came. That jerk started tickling me. I couldn't stop laughing.
"S-s-to-stop!" I sputter.
"Say it now!" George smirked.
"Your sexy! Stop!" I shriek.
George nodded with satisfaction and stopped. I punch him on the arm! He leaned over and kissed me.
"That won't make up, jerk," I smirk.
"Aw, all I did was tickle you," George stuck out his bottom lip.
"It was horrible!" I shudder.
Just then, Louise, George's mom came in. She studied us.
"I heard a scream, is everything alright?" she asked.
"Yes. George was just torturing me by him tickling me. We're fine," I assured her.
"Okay. George, dear? John called and moved practice tomorrow. You'll have to cancel your date," Louise frowned.
"Oh," George looked at me.
"It's fine," I shrugged.
"But John said it was alright to bring her. He's bringing...Haddy or Halia, or..."
"Hailey, his girlfriend," George interrupted.
She nodded and left. So I'm going to see them practice for the first time, then. John finally accepted me. It sucks we got our date ruined. At least I'll spend time with George. George smiled.
"Stella, I'm sorry. Do you want to come tomorrow?" George asked.
"Sure," I smiled.
Then, I had to go home. George walked me home then I went inside. Mom and Dad were eating lunch.
"Hey," I sat down at the table.
"Want one? It's a toasted ham and cheese sandwich, honey," Mom asked.
I nodded. Mom got up to make one. Me and Dad sat there. He was reading the newspaper. My dad was always at work during the week. I never was that close to him. I tapped the table waiting for mom.
"So you really like him?" Dad flipped his paper.
"Excuse me?"
"You like that boy, Jeffrey?"
"George," I corrected.
"Yes, the one you're dating," he glanced up from hia paper to me.
"Yeah. He's sweet, nice, handsome. Why?" I asked.
"You two haven't had se-"
"Henry! It doesn't matter," Mom handed me my toasted ham and cheese sandwich.
"Just curious, Caroline. If you had though, make sure he uses protection!" Dad said.
Geez. How embarrassing. My face heated up and I looked away. I ate my sandwich quickly and went upstairs. I think I need a girl's night. But I don't have any friends that are girls. Maybe John's girlfriend will be my friend. Seriously.
