Trafalgar Law walked through the sunny streets of Dressrosa with (y/n), his hand holding hers comfortably. (Y/n) looked over to law and smiled, he gave one in return. Ever since their reunion, they have been inseparable, traveling and fighting freely by each other's side. The duo that was exploring the newly rebuilt island was surprisingly on a date. Law was never a man to flounder and chase after a woman, but there he was hand in hand with a beautiful girl having a great time. It only took a few years after the alliance with the Strawhats for either of them to built up the courage to confess.

The crew "encouraged" the couple to go out and enjoy themselves by kicking them off the ship, saying that they wouldn't accept their return until they had a good time. Law never liked the idea of going outside and do typical activities that couples would normally do. He would rather stay indoors locked in his room that he shared with (y/n) in the silent, comfortable dark where he could rest his head on (y/n)'s chest and eventually falling asleep to the rhythmic beat of her heart. Although his plan had been changed, Law shrugged off the inconvenient dilemma and went with the flow.

He had chosen Dressrosa as their setting; being that it was the island of romance, it was only natural that they spent their one year anniversary there. Not only that, it was where they had their unexpected reunion as well. Law brought (y/n) everywhere, and he showed her everything he did when he first came to this island. Well, besides being on a mission to take down a power-hungry titan to avenge his late guardian, and then defeating said Titan. But other than that the date was going rather smoothly.

Law repeatedly tried to feed (y/n) a silver spoon throughout the whole date, in which he had gotten the money by stealing from his crew members as he was being shoved off the ship. Hey, kick out the Captain from his ship and you pay the price, quite literally actually! However every time Law tried to treat (y/n) and would shower her with gifts, she denied him every time he attempted to. If Corazon was still alive he knew that he would get nothing but endless days of teasing and pestering from the clumsy giant.

They continued along their way until it the day faded to night. (Y/n) scanned the sky that was glimmered in starlight. "We should head back. They said they would pick us up after sundown right?" Law hummed in confirmation as they walked through the plaza in comfortable silence, their pathway was lit by street lights and starlight.

Before passing by a fountain Law stopped in his tracks. "Is something wrong Law?" He raised head towards the night sky taking in the glittering sight. For him, time slowed down as he dug deep in his mind. "Law?" (Y/n) called out again.

"I have to tell you something..." He spoke softly.

"What is it?"

"I..." His sentence was abruptly interrupted by a muffled transponder snail.

Law dug his jacket for the damn thing and picked up the call, "Who is this?" He demanded.

"Aww, is that any way to act in front of your girlfriend on your anniversary?" Cooed his crewmen Satchi.

"Yeah captain, if you keep scaring her like this she might come to us!" Teased Penguin. (Y/n) laughed at the bold statements the two crew members threw at their captain. Law, however, gritted his teeth and tried his best to not destroy the snail.

"If you two want to be on cleaning duty for a year with your toothbrushes as your only tool, come over here and pick us up."

"Yes, sir..." Murmured the duo and ended the call. Law put the snail away before joining back to (y/n)'s side and walked back to the docks for the crew to pick them up.

Back on the ship, the couple was retiring for the night. In the shared bedroom, they wore looser fitted clothing, which was just some sweatpants for Trafalgar and one Law's old hoodies for (y/n). Finally slipping under the blankets they were held close by each other. Law finally had the chance to relax on his bed and listen to the comforting sound of his lover's heartbeat. "I had fun today, thank you for taking me out." (y/n) whispered.

When she did not receive a reply back she spoke his name again, but a soft snore was heard in return. She sighed before she focused her gaze to the metallic ceiling of the room. "He barely talked to me today. I hope I didn't do anything wrong..." She quietly thought. (Y/n) let her mind roam for a while in hopes that the thoughts would tire her out. That was when the memory of Law's statement came to mind.

"I have to tell you something," His voice echoed.

"I..."

"...I want to break up with you..." she absentmindedly considered. "Wait, what am I thinking! Law would never say that after today would he? Would he?" She contemplated the statement before questioning herself again. "No, I should stop doubting him. I'll just sleep it off and everything will go back to normal." But another voice spoke in her head

"I'll be there every step of the way..."

"I'm willing to fight for you..."

"I'm not like them..."

Tears streamed down her eyes as she remembered his words, "Damn you... why can't you just leave me alone already..."
