It had been a little over a week since the fitting day.

Maybe two weeks, now that you thought about it. You weren't really sure. Your brain was still a little frazzled.

You had mostly - emphasis on mostly - gotten over the shock, but you couldn't say the same for your feelings.

It's just... him!

He kept acting more and more endearing with each passing day, and you found it harder and harder each time to say something rude back.

Hating someone was exhausting.

Pretending to hate someone was worse. Because even though you insisted that you detested him, you knew in your heart that you didn't.

Not anymore.

You just hoped you weren't wrong about him.

Torn between the different sides of Jeon Jungkook. One side warm, bright, soft. The sunshine on a rainy day. The other side, the polar opposite. Cold, dark, stone-hard. The stormclouds blocking out the light.

You didn't which one was real. Maybe both.

He switched between them faster than you could blink.

Lately, the former was coming out more often, and you really wanted it to stay that way. But you couldn't be sure if he would change right back the second you let down your guard. You didn't - couldn't - detest him anymore, but you had drawn a line in the sand and you were determined not to cross it.

But... ugh. Jung-freaking-kook. Ocean of unpredictability that he was, trying to wash away your line with his waves. It was getting fainter each time the water receded, the line that you drew, fading slowly but surely along with your resolve.

You tried to redraw it, you really did. You had tried every trick in the book, and then some more, and a little more after that, too.

But it was useless. It only bled back, worse than ever, and then the waves came along and there was nothing you could do.

High tide was coming soon. You could feel it. The water level rising, higher each time, lapping at your toes with gentle threats of pulling you under.

But honestly, at this point, you weren't even sure if that was such a bad thing.

This one was really fun to mess around with! I hope it's understandable and not too overwhelming. Metaphors are really fun hehe
