Chapter 7

Trigger Warning

Attempted Rape-Non Con

"How's he doing," Hound asked quietly as he walked into the medical bay and walked over to where he was laying.

"Same as yesterday," Thire said quietly as he glanced up from his data pad. Hound ran his eyes over the young Commander noting that he hadn't moved from the seat he was in before Hound's shift started.

"Have you eaten today," he asked. Thire shrugged and looked back down to his data pad.

"Thire," Hound said sternly, making Thire huff.

"I ate a ration bar, as usual," Thire muttered, still not looking up. Hound sighed and grabbed a chair, pulling it over to where Thire was and sitting down. He snatched the pad from Thire's hand, making him glare at him angrily.

"Don't give me that look. I need to talk to you and I can't do that when you're using your work as a shield," Hound said with a frown. Thire sighed and briefly glanced at Fox to make sure he was still doing okay before leaning back in his chair and deflating.

"I know you're worried about Fox but you still need to look after yourself okay," Hound said.

"Shouldn't he be awake by now," Thire said quietly.

"Not necessarily. Helix did say that the supplies we got would make sure that he's okay but he also said he wouldn't wake up for a few days," Hound pointed out.

"I know but it's already been two days," Thire said worriedly.

"Which means it shouldn't be long before he wakes up. But when he does wake up, do you want him stressing about how you aren't looking after himself or do you want him to focus on looking after himself," Hound asked. Thire opened his mouth to retort but closed it quickly as he realised he didn't really have anything to say to that. Hound was right. Fox would be more worried about Thire than himself and Thire can't let that happen.

"I don't want him to wake up alone," Thire said quietly.

"He won't. I'll stay here just in case he wakes up while you're gone and if he does, I will send you a message," Hound promised. Thire hesitated for another second before letting out a sigh and pushing himself to his feet.

"Please do," he said before glancing at Fox one last time, then leaving. Hound let out a breath of relief and dropped his head down. Thire can be very stubborn, not as bad as Fox but close. He really is Fox's son.

"Hey Fox, I know you're doing your best to wake up but take your time okay. We've got it covered here and I'll look after Thire for you," Hound said softly as he reached out and grasped Fox's hand gently.

He sat with Fox for a while before the door to the medical bay opened again and in walked Boost and Sinker, Grizzer trailing along behind them.

"Hey girl," Hound said with a smile as the Massif rushed over and jumped into his lap.

"You're right Hound, she's quite fun to take out for a walk," Boost said with a grin as he walked over and sat down on the edge of Fox's bed, resting a hand on the Commander's ankle.

"Did you two run into any trouble," Hound asked as ran his hand down Grizzer's back. The 104th left Coruscant two days ago but for some reason some of them stayed behind. Commander Wolffe had said they were going to stay to help out the Guard, keep an eye on things. Hound didn't really understand why, there wasn't much they could do but it wasn't his place to oppose a Commander.

"Nah, everything was quiet," Sinker said with a shrug. Hound hid his quiet breath of relief. The last thing he wants is one of them to get hurt when there aren't any Guard to protect them. The Guard follow strict rules that Fox and the other Commanders have put together in order to keep them safe but the 104th aren't aware of these rules.

"Good. What are you planning on doing now," Hound asked.

"We're going to sit here with you, keep you and old Foxy here company," Boost sat, patting Fox's ankle lightly as Hound snorted.

"Do not let Fox ever hear you call him that," Hound said.

"Eh, we've been travelling around with the big bad Wolffe, I think we will be fine with your little Fox," Sinker said with a grin.

"You underestimate the Guard. Fox's are sly and cunning and just as fiercely protective of their kits as wolves are their cubs," Hound pointed out.

"He doesn't look so tough to m-."

"Sinker," Boost said angrily, making his brother freeze and glance over at Hound who was glaring at me.

"The only reason Fox is in that bed is because he was weakened from being tortured and severely injured by the Chancellor and was then attacked by Commander Cody and Captain Rex which cause him to fall and crack open his skull. How do you think any of you would fair with any of those injuries," Hound said angrily.

"I'm sorry, I got carried away joking around. I didn't mean to say it like that," Sinker said quickly. Hound frowned and looked back over at Fox, clenching his fist angrily before letting out a breath and relaxing again.

"Fox has protected us throughout the war. He has done everything in his power to keep us safe even if it meant putting himself on the line. I don't take kindly to you putting him down, not after all he has done for us," Hound said quietly.

"No, I know that. It was a shitty thing to say. I was a dikut, ni ceta," Sinker said, removing his helmet and bowing his head. Hound sighed yet again and reached out, grabbing Sinker's arm and tugging him forwards. He removed his own helmet before gently pressing his forehead to the others. Sinker let out a breath and relaxed, closing his eyes as he sunk into the keldable.

"It's okay, I know you're all having to adjust to how the Guard works," Hound said, pulling back. Sinker frowned but sat down on the floor and leaned over, resting his head against Hound's thigh. Hound was caught off guard by the action, not knowing what to do but Grizzer happily jumped off his lap and moved to Sinker's. Hound glanced over at Boost who was watching him with a grin and raised an eyebrow. Boost held back a chuckle and mimed patting the air with his hand. The wolfpack are more than used to affection as they've got some younger troopers but it is obvious it's something the Guard lacks. Hound frowned in confusion before dropping his hand down onto Sinker's head and rubbing it awkwardly. Sinker relaxed once again, resting against Hound while patting Grizzer.

"We will stay here with you until Commander Fox wakes up or until someone else comes to join you. It's never good to be alone in these kinds of situations," Boost said firmly. Hound didn't want to correct him on the fact that they never really have enough spare time for multiple people to sit with the injured. They're used to it just being one of them. Instead, he just remained quiet and continued to run his fingers through Sinker's hair while watching Fox closely for any changes.

~~~~~
Wolffe walked into 79's, scanning over all of the Clones sitting down and chatting until he saw the ones he was looking for in the far back corner. He sighed and made his way over, flopping down into the booth across from them, removing his helmet.
"Is he going to be okay," Cody asked quietly, barely being able to be heard over all the noise in the joint. Wolffe looked over the Commander and Captain slowly, analysing their expressions to gauge how guilty they were. They deserved the guilt and they deserve to have been worried for two days.
"He cracked open his skull but thankfully they had the medical supplies to look after him. He'll have a wicked concussion but he will survive," Wolffe said slowly. Rex and Cody both visibly relaxed, Rex dropping his head into his hands while Cody clasped his shoulder gently.
"He was badly hurt before you did that Rex. He had just gotten out of the medical bay and you attacked him. He would never want to hurt you but even if he didn't care for you, he couldn't defend himself," Wolffe said angrily, gripping the table tightly.
"I didn't mean to hurt him that bad Wolffe, you know that-."
"Do I? you sure didn't seem to worry about hurting him when you were throwing punches at him. I mean you saw his face, he looks like shit. You were just so focused on what you thought was going on, that you didn't take a step back to see the bigger picture," Wolffe said, cutting Rex off.
"You said Fox was ordered to kill Fives but he didn't, which meant he disobeyed an order and was punished for it. Who punished him," Cody asked with a frown. Wolffe hesitated at answering that and glanced around quickly, realising that even if it was a conversation he wanted to have, it wasn't the place.
"Again, that's something you're going to have to ask Fox, if he ever lets you see him," Wolffe said with a shrug.
"Can we go see him now? Is he awake," Rex asked quickly.
"No to both. He should hopefully wake up soon but there is no way anyone in the Guard are letting you anywhere near the barracks right now. Especially not the Commanders, they're all furious. Thire wants to hunt you down, Stone is plotting a way kill you in your sleep and Thorn just wants to mass murder our entire batch. Except me, I've been given immunity," Wolffe said with a smug grin. Rex and Cody both winced.
"I guess I deserve that, and maybe Cody. But why Bly and Ponds? They haven't done anything wrong, they aren't even here," Rex said.
"Long story, but the short version is we're horrible vod and we owe Fox a massive apology for abandoning him," Wolffe said with a sad sigh.
"Abandoned him? He was the one that stopped replying to our comms and kept using the excuse of being too busy," Cody said with a frown of annoyance.
"You ever thought that perhaps being the Marshal Commander of an entire planet with over a Trillion inhabitants would mean he is in fact really busy," Wolffe asked with a raised eyebrow and that shut Cody up quickly.
"No, I did not. I thought the Guard were only in charge of the Senate and surrounding areas," Cody said.
"No, the whole planet pretty much," Wolffe said. Cody groaned and dragged a hand down his face.
"Do you think Fox might let us see him once he wakes up? I want to apologise and actually hear him out this time. I may have jumped to conclusions a little too quickly," Rex admitted, making Wolffe snort.
"Yeah, you really did. And I can't say for sure what Fox will say, whether he will let you come and see him. But it's Fox and he's never stopped caring about us so I'd say there's a good chance he will want to see you, even after what happened," Wolffe said. His comm suddenly beeped and he looked down to see it was from Thorn. He glanced back at Rex and Cody before sighing and answering the comm.
"This is Wolffe, go ahead," he said.
"So informal Commander. What if this was a comm in regard to war efforts," Thorn asked.
"Is it," Wolffe asked.
"Well, no, but it could've been," Thorn said, making Wolffe chuckle. No wonder Fox loves his Commanders so much.
"How is he Thorn," Wolffe asked.
"He's awake and he's asking for his favourite Ori'vod," Thorn said, making Wolffe smile fondly.
"Tell him I'll be there soon," Wolffe said.
"Sir, yes sir," Thorn said before ending the line.
"He's awake," Cody asked quietly.
"I guess so," Wolffe said with a nod.
"Can you talk to him? See if he will let us come and talk to him," Cody asked nervously.
"I will talk to him but I won't push trying to convince him. This is completely up to him, I won't force it," Wolffe said.
"That's okay. We're remaining on Coruscant for another week. Hopefully we get the chance to see him," Cody said with a sigh. Wolffe stood up, preparing to leave before pausing and turning back.
"How's Fives," he asked Rex. Rex looked up before smiling softly.
"He's recovering. He woke up yesterday but he hasn't been lucid so we're just letting him recover before he gets a debrief. We need to find out what he knows and what actually happened," Rex said.
"Good, that's good," Wolffe said with a nod. He can at least tell Fox that it's been confirmed Fives will be okay.
"I'll catch you around," he added before leaving quickly, slipping his helmet back on. He left 79's and walked through the streets, heading back towards the Guard barracks when he heard an odd noise. He paused and glanced around, trying to figure out where he heard the noise from, when he heard it again. It sounded like a scuffle from somewhere but he couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
"Everything okay Commander Wolffe." Wolffe jolted in shock, having been too distracted to realise someone had walked up to him. He turned around and his eyes landed on a Trooper wearing the 501st blue with a familiar symbol on his shoulder.
"Everything is fine Kix, I just thought I heard a noise," Wolffe replied. Kix tilted his head in confusion but glanced around, listening out to see if he could hear anything. They were both quiet for a few seconds before there was a loud clang and both of their attention snapped to the alleyway to the left. Wolffe moved quickly, pulling out one of his pistols while Kix hurried to follow him. The alleyway wasn't lit very well but it still wasn't hard to see the two tussling about halfway down. There was a Besalisk pinning a clone down against a large bin while the Clone struggled fitfully. Two of the Besalisk's arm's had the Clones arms pinned over his head, while his other two arms roamed over the Clones waist, clearly trying to tug at the armour. Kix froze and stepped back instinctively at the memories the familiar species bought back. He stumbled slightly and accidentally kicked a loose can, sending it skidding back and gaining the attention of the Besalisk.
"Who are you? You don't have the same colour paint as these meat droids," the Besalisk grumbled, causing the Clone to turn it's head as well. Wolffe gasped and was shaken from his shock, lifting his pistol quickly and pointing it directly at the Besalisk's head.
"Let him go," Wolffe said firmly but the Besalisk only laughed, not moving at all, except to slide his hand along the Clones waist.
"Don't worry, once I'm done with this one, you can have a turn. I won-." There was a blast and the Besalisk froze, their grip loosening for a few seconds before it dropped to the ground in a crumpled heap, a hole between it's eyes. Wolffe quickly placed his pistol back into his belt, rushing forwards as the Clone dropped to the ground. Wolffe knelt down and went to reach out but the Clone flinched so he quickly stopped.
"Hey, it's just me. It's Wolffe," Wolffe said, tugging his helmet off. The Clone looked up and sighed.
"Put your helmet back on. We can't, t-take them off in public," he mumbled.
"I'm fine Thire," Wolffe said, glancing over the young Commander in concern. There was some shuffling behind Wolffe, causing Thire to tense before relaxing as he noticed it was just another vod.
"A-Are you okay," Wolffe asked quietly, noting that Thire was shaking slightly but also not knowing what to say. It was very obvious what was about to happen.
"M'fine," Thire sighed, resting his head back against the bin.
"Commander Thire, I'm CMO Kix of the 501-."
"I know who you are Kix," Thire mumbled.
"Fives and Jesse always give us hell at 79's, do you honestly think I don't know who their babysitter is," he added.
"Is it okay if I assess you? Are you hurt anywhere," Kix asked, pulling off his helmet to scan over the slumped Commander.
"It's honestly fine. This stuff happens all the time, I actually came off well," Thire huffed. Wolffe frowned sadly but Kix tensed.
"What do you mean this stuff happens all the time? He was trying to do unspeakable things to you. How is this coming off well," Kix asked angrily. Thire shifted slightly to look at him, quiet for a few seconds. They weren't supposed to talk about it with the GAR but the Wolfpack already knows, so who cares.
"It wouldn't be the first time this has happened Kix. And it's coming off well because all I did was just get beaten and groped a little, it could have been worse," Thire said plainly.
"Not the first time? Have you reported it? Make sur-."
"We're not sentient beings, no one cares. We're owned by the senate and the people of Coruscant, they basically have the right to do whatever they want with their property," Thire said with a shrug. Kix gasped with wide eyes, his thoughts running wild. Thire was talking so nonchalantly, like it was just a fact to be expected, not something as disgusting as it is. It's not something he can unpack right now, he can talk to Rex later but for now, he needs to look after the Corrie.
"Thire, can I please give you a check-up. The medic in me is going to be on edge if I don't at least make sure you're going to be okay," Kix said. Thire sighed and glanced over the two in front of him before relenting and nodding. Kix let out a breath of relief and shuffled forward, shoving the dead Besalisk further to the side.
"Is it okay if I remove your helmet. Wolffe is here so he will protect both of us," Kix promised.
"Okay," Thire said quietly. Kix reached out and gently unclasped the helmet, sliding it off over Thire's head. He clenched his jaw angrily as he saw the trail of blood trailing down the side of his face. He clenched his jaw tightly in anger but didn't show it. He slipped some wipes from his belt that was stocked with different medical supplies in case of emergencies. He gently wiped up the blood and brushed Thire's hair back, inspecting his head to see if it was anything bad. It was just a little cut so nothing to be concerned about. He slipped out a tube of liquid bacta and gently slathered it over the cut, making sure it was covered.
"I'm going to leave it uncovered so it can air out a bit more. You might have a concussion, but I can't tell right now," Kix said.
"I don't. I know what a concussion feels like, and it isn't this," Thire said quickly while Kix just nodded.
"Okay, that's good. Are you hurt anywhere else? Where's this blood coming from," Kix said with a frown as he noticed the blood on Thire's left side. Thire frowned as well and glanced down in confusion, surprise crossing his face as he noticed the blood.
"I don't actually know," he admitted.
"Did you get cut or something," Kix asked gently.
"I really don't know, maybe," Thire said with a frown, his brows furrowing before wincing in pain as Kix pressed a hand to his side.
"Sorry. Can I remove your armour for a second? I know that doesn't sound very pleasant right now, but I need to make sure it isn't something that's going to end up killing you. I will make sure you're stable and then Wolffe and I will take you back to the Guard medical bay," Kix said. Thire seemed apprehensive but Wolffe was surprised to see that he looked towards him for guidance.
"It's okay, I trust Kix with my life. He's one of the best medics in the entire GAR, has to be with the 501st cos they're so reckless. And I've got my guns, I'll keep an eye out," Wolffe promised, pulling out his guns. Thire glanced over him for a few seconds before letting out a breath and nodding to Kix. Kix hurriedly but gently unclipped the pieces of armour that covered Thire's side, placing them on the ground. Thire's blacks were torn from his ribs down to his waist, showing a large gash against his side that was steadily bleeding.
"This doesn't look good. Did he have a weapon," Kix asked quickly.
"Yeah, a knife I think. I managed to knock it out of his hand during the tussle, but he must've cut me with it without me realising," Thire said, blinking slowly. Kix noticed immediately, as a medic should, and he moved quickly. He pulled out the biggest pad he had, which he knew wouldn't be big enough. He quickly pressed it against the large cut, making Thire wince yet again.
"Sorry, but I need to try and get this bleeding to slow down," Kix said gritting his teeth as he added another pad, pressing down firmly. Thire barely reacted this time, his head just lolling to the side slightly. That was not good.
"Wolffe, I need you to grab the roll of bandage from my pack pocket. Hurry," Kix said quickly. Wolffe moved and did as asked, fiddling through the back pockets until he found what was needed. Kix moved quickly, bandaging Thire's side as quickly and as tightly as possible, noting how Thire was no longer reacting to the pain.
"Wolffe, grab him. You need to run; he's losing too much blood. Wolffe holstered his pistols and shoved his helmet on his head before scooping a practically limp Thire into his arms. Kix grabbed his own helmet and Thire's, racing after Wolffe as he sped off. Wolffe held Thire tightly, his heart racing as he went as fast as he could throughout the streets. Thire was curled up to his chest but he wasn't moving at all. Luckily he knew his way through the streets and to the Guard Barracks and it wasn't too far.
It took about five minutes to get there, but five minutes was too long. He didn't even acknowledge the Guard at the front desk, just ran past and down the hall, not stopping until he got to the door to the medical bay. He paused but didn't need to stop long as Kix skidded past him and opened the door, allowing Wolffe to slip through. Wolffe distantly noticed that the curtain was pulled around the bed at the very end of the room, most likely where Fox was but he didn't stop. He laid Thire gently down on the bed before he was shoved aside by Kix.
"Help me remove his armour. Where the hell is the Corrie medic," Kix asked quickly as he dropped the two helmets and begun to unlatch Thire's armour. There was the sound of a curtain being drawn and shuffling.
"I'm here. What the he-. Oh shit," Helix rushed over as he noticed the red armour of a Guard on the bed. His eyes widened as he realised who it was.
"Stone, close the curtain," he yelled, moving Wolffe to the side and helping Kix get off Thire's armour.
"What why? Wait, who's that," Fox said with a frown as he sat up on the bed, stopping Stone from closing the curtain around the bed. There was someone on the medical bed with Wolffe and a 501st legion clone, both of which had blood on them. Which of his men got hurt and how?
"Stone, the curtain," Helix said quickly. Thire is barely conscious and has clearly lost a lot of blood, the last thing they need is for Fox to get panicked. Stone tried to block Fox's view but Fox's eyes landed on the helmet knocked over on the floor. He frowned in confusion and glanced around the room, trying to figure out where Thire was hiding when the realisation hit him.
"Th'ika," he gasped, sliding to his feet.
"No, Fox get back in the bed," Stone said, grabbing Fox as his legs gave out.
"N-No. Thire. Thire! What's wrong? What happened," Fox asked in a panic. His head was pounding but he needed to make sure Thire was okay. He needed to protect his ad'ika. Wolffe hurried from the bed and over to Fox, helping Stone wrestle him back onto the bed.
"Stop Fox, let them help him," Wolffe said firmly.
"N-No, ner a-ad'ika," Fox mumbled, feeling slightly light-headed from all of the movement.
"I know. I know Fox but he's going to be okay. He got hurt and he's lost blood but he's got Kix and Helix looking after him right now," Wolffe said gently, trying to calm him down.
"K-Kix," Fox stuttered.
"Yes. The 501st medic, Rex's medic," Wolffe replied. Fox has heard of Kix, the medic who has to constantly be ready for injured men as their legion and general often get into sticky situations. He's read reports on Kix, he's just as good as Helix. Fox let out a shaky breath and allowed Stone to push him back against the pillow.
"Th-They've got him," he muttered.
"Yeah, they've got him," Stone said softly, delicately brushing Fox's curls back from his forehead.
"Get some sleep Fox, we've got this handled," Wolffe promised. He watched as Fox stubbornly continued to force his eyes open, the panic obviously having drained him. Stone just continued to stroke his hair until eventually, Fox didn't open his eyes again. Wolffe shifted his attention back to Thire but noted that thankfully, Helix and Kix didn't seem so panicked as they worked.
"Is he going to be okay," he asked, glancing at Thire's eyes that were closed, his face relaxed.
"Yes, he'll be okay. I just gave him a sedative to knock him out and Kix is getting him hooked up for a blood transfusion. We've got enough bacta to get his side healed up in a day or two," Helix replied. Stone moved away from Fox, padding over to Thire. He glanced at him for a few seconds before leaning down and pressing a light kiss to his forehead, brushing back his hair.
"What happened," Helix asked once they had finished giving Thire the required care. Kix stiffened at his words and Wolffe frowned sympathetically. Kix doesn't know what's been happening to the Guard so he's going to get a shock.
"We found him getting pinned down in an alley by a Besalisk. The dirty bastard had attacked him with a knife and was groping him," Kix spat angrily. Helix hummed sadly, glancing at Thire while Stone looked devastated and leaned down to press his forehead against a sleeping Thire's.
"That is unfortunate. He took a while to recover after the last time," Helix said with a sigh.
"Last time? I thought-. I thought he was exaggerating, deflecting," Kix exclaimed in shock.
"Yeah, last time. Though I'm hoping this time you two managed to talk the Besalisk out of it? If you managed to get Thire here," Helix asked, turning to Wolffe with a little hope in his eyes.
"I told him to let Thire go. When he refused, I shot him in the head," Wolffe said, making the two awake Corries gasp.
"You killed them," Stone asked quickly.
"I did. If there are any repercussions from my actions, I will handle them," Wolffe said firmly.
"Commander Wolffe, if anyone finds out, you could be decommissioned," Stone said quietly, nervously and Kix's eyes widened.
"I will be fine. My General would never let me be decommissioned. Remember, there's no decommissioning in the GAR," Wolffe said softly. Stone frowned at that and looked back at Thire, clearly feeling a little uncomfortable.
"Decommissions? What are you talking about," Kix asked. Helix glanced at him before looking to Stone who had looked up again. It's up to the Commanders who they want informed about this, who they can trust. It was quiet for a few seconds as Stone considered his options, Kix glancing wildly between everyone.
"Coruscant isn't the cushy posting everyone thinks it is. Decommissions are quite frequent here, we thought they were everywhere. All you need to do is just piss off a natborn and they can make a decom or recon request," Stone explained.
"What? That's not-. How can they do that," Kix asked quickly and Stone shrugged.
"We aren't sentient beings, we're the senates property technically. What Thire almost went through would be considered closer to misuse of property than rape," Stone said quietly. Kix's mouth was opening and closing in shock, clearly trying to form words but they were failing him. Instead he turned around and stormed from the room.
"Should someone go after him," Helix asked quietly.
"I think he just need to go for a walk, sort through his emotions. I don't know him well enough to try to help him out to be honest. He'll probably be back here at some point for answers," Wolffe said with a sigh.
"Right. Well Stone, you cuddle with Thire, Wolffe you with Fox. Having a brother close will keep them settled. Thorn won't be back for a bit because he went to see the Chancellor in Fox's stead but we need to be prepared for when he returns. Hopefully the Chancellor doesn't do too much because he isn't Fox but who knows," Helix said with a sigh.
"Right, that's another thing I forgot to bring back up with all being very vague. What's up with Palpatine. Because you're all talking about mind control, torture, the whole works. Why would the Chancellor of the Republic do any of that," Wolffe said with a frown. It had concerned him when they first mentioned the Chancellor, how unsurprised any of them were, how unbothered, like it was an everyday thing for them.
"Oh, right. Palpatine is the Sith lord."
"HE'S THE WHAT!"
