Chapter 11

Trigger Warning

Implied/Referenced Rape Non-Con
Panic Attack

"You two continue searching, I've got this." The two troopers at the back left the room but Fox didn't move, unsure what to do in this situation. He was frozen, both in fear and confusion as to what was going on. He wasn't sure how to react, not after it had been so long since he spoke to his batchmate, not since Cody had named him dar'vod. How is he supposed to react in this situation?

"Commander, what are you doing here," he asked quietly. Bly removed his helmet and clipped it onto his belt, his eyes searching over Fox's form.

"What I should have done a long time ago. I'm protecting my Vod'ika and getting him the kark out of here," Bly said firmly. Fox swallowed dryly, clenching his hands in the sheets beneath him nervously. Vod'ika? He just called him Vod'ika. Does that mean he doesn't completely hate him?

"Are you okay to get dressed or do you need help," Bly asked as he bent down and grabbed Fox's blacks off the floor.

"Bly. O-Ori'vod, what're you doing here," Fox repeated.

"Like I said, I'm going to get you out of here. Do you need help getting dressed," Bly asked as he held out the blacks. Fox's eyes flitted down to Senator Reiby on the ground and the full situation hit him, making him panic. Bly stunned Senator Reiby but he's going to wake up and when he does, he will take it out on Bly. He's going to threaten Bly with decommissioning and then he will hurt him. He can't let that happen.

"Bly, you need to go, you need to get out of here. G-Get out of here," he rushed out. He quickly jumped out of the bed and grabbed Bly's wrist, tugging him hurriedly towards the doorway. He got a few steps before Bly's mind seemed to catch up with his actions and he stopped steadfast.

"You need to go Bly. Today is the worst day for you to say hello but, hi. Now please, Bly, stay away from the Senate," Fox said, trying to tug Bly again. Bly frowned and shook his head quickly.

"Fox'ika, I'm getting you out of here. I am leaving, but so are you. You aren't going to stay in the Senate either," Bly said and Fox's heartrate quickened. No.

"You can't. Bly just go, gedet'ye. I can't leave," he said quickly. Bly could see the panic in his youngest batchmates eyes and he stepped closer. He cupped his face gently and rubbing his thumb over Fox's cheek in what he hoped was a soothing way. Fox's breath caught in his throat and he was conflicted with what to do. He needed to get Bly to leave but he desperately wanted to lean into the comfort he hadn't felt from Bly in so long. He thought he had lost everyone but Wolffe, but here Bly was, trying to comfort him. He was there and Fox wanted to hug him and break down but he needs to protect him and his Vod'ike.

"I can't explain everything right now but you need to get dressed and come with me. You're going to be safe, I promise," Bly said. Fox shook his head and pulled away from Bly.

"I can't. I can't abandon my men, not with what is happening. I n-need to protect them. B-Better me than them," Fox said shakily. Bly blinked in confusion before realising the miscommunication.

"Wait, Fox. Let's backtrack for a second. Vod'ika, we're getting the entire Coruscant Guard off the god forsaken planet," Bly said and Fox froze.

"What," he asked in confusion.

"Again, we'll explain it properly later but right now the 327th and 104th are evacuating the Guard. We're transferring you all onto our cruisers. I don't know everything but General Plo Koon contacted General Secura not long ago when we got out of hyperspace and they talked. Then we were all being ordered to evacuate you all. We have everyone from the barracks and the prisons evacuated already, now we're getting everyone from the Senate," Bly explained quickly. Fox's mind was racing as he felt a little light-headed. He stumbled slightly before his legs gave out and he almost fell but Bly's arms were wrapped around him in an instant to stabilise him.

"Okay, kark this. We don't really have much time but we have enough for this," Bly said, gently dragging Fox over to the bed and sat down. As they passed over the Senator, Bly made sure to step on his fingers harshly with the heel of his boot, hearing a satisfying crunch.

Bly wasn't stupid. He heard what the Senator said. He knew the Guard were being mistreated as they were ordered to evacuate them as quickly as possible so he could piece together what was about to happen to Fox, his Vod'ika. He isn't sure what has been happening with Fox as they lost contact a while back but he had heard about the incident with Fives. It has surprised him but that's something he can ask about later, once he knows Fox is somewhere safe.

"Come here," he said softly, tugging Fox into his arms and holding him tightly. He made sure to be careful though, as he was still in his armour while Fox was only in his boxers. Fox melted in his arms, his head instantly folding to tuck against Bly's neck while his hands shakily reached up to clutch tightly to Bly's armour.

"I've missed you Vod'ika. Ni ceta," Bly whispered. Fox gasped and immediately broke down into sobs. He missed all of his batchmates so much even though he was the one that had basically cut them out, it doesn't matter if he was trying to protect them. He didn't think any of them still cared about him after they stopped reaching out. Bly was always the kind caring one of the batch, so him giving up Fox hurt a lot more than the others. He didn't think Bly even still cared about him.

"I've got you," Bly said, running his hand up and down Fox's back.

"I m-missed you too," he sobbed out.

"I know. I failed you Fox'ika but I promise I will make it up to you. Starting right now okay. So we need to get you dressed and out of here. Wolffe told me to tell you that Thire was taken to the cruiser. He's apparently telling everyone to get karked and is asking where you are," Bly said. Fox tensed in Bly's arms and his head snapped up.

"Ad'ika," he whispered. They sent Thire to the prisons so he'd be safe and he is, but now he will be stressed and panicking about the rest of them. Bly's eyes widened in shock at Fox's words and his heart broke. When did Thire become Fox's ad? When did he become a ba'vodu for someone else? Just how much has he missed in the time he and Fox have lost contact?

"He's okay, more than okay actually. I'm pretty sure everyone is scared of him. Your Ad'ika is like a ball of fire," Bly said, drawing Fox from his thoughts.

"Oh, yes, he is. I should. I should get dressed," Fox said, pushing himself away from Bly.

"You're sure this is happening? You're getting everyone? If there isn't enough space, I can stay behind," Fox said worriedly. He was still coming to terms with what Bly said and was having trouble believing it but Bly has never been a liar.

"I'm sure. And we have more than enough space, there's three cruisers. We've shifted some of our battalions around so there's enough space on one cruiser for all of you," Bly said. Fox nodded and hurriedly slipped on his blacks before pausing once again as a thought hit him.

"What about the animals? Our Massif handlers bond with their Massif's and won't leave them. A-And we have two stray Tooka's we found, Salt and Pepper w-."

"Every living thing connected to the Guard is coming. I promise. Now why don't you put your armour on," Bly interjected softly, noticing how Fox was getting worked up and wanting to calm down.

"Okay, okay. Are you sure," Fox asked worriedly. Hound adores Grizzer, they've been working together since about six months into the war roughly. Fox himself had gotten attached to Grizzer and would be upset if she was left behind.

"I'm sure," Bly replied with a patient nod. Fox nodded as well and moved about hurriedly to grab his scattered armour, deliberately not looking towards Reiby. Bly watched Fox quietly as he shakily put on his armour and noticed when the Senator started moving slightly. In an instant, his gun was out and he stunned him again. Fox glanced up in confusion but Bly just smiled sweetly at him. Once all of his armour was on, he grabbed his helmet from the ground, grabbing out the bracelet and gently slipping it onto his wrist. He then turned back to Bly, gripping his helmet tightly.

"What now," he asked.

"Now we get you out of this hell hole. The rest of my men are rounding up the rest of yours so we are good to go," Bly said.

"Are you sure," Fox asked again. He felt bad because he kept asking but he needed to be absolutely sure, he needed to know his men weren't going to be left behind.

"I promise you Fox, your men will be safe. All of them," Bly said. He walked forwards and grabbed Fox's helmet from his hands, gently putting it on his head and clipping it into place. As soon as it was on, Fox took a deep breath and straightened up. He's taught himself to shift into his Commander mindset and compartmentalise to address what has happened at a later date. Bly frowned as he noticed the shift in Fox's demeanour but he didn't say anything. He wasn't happy about it but they've taken too long already.

"You ready to go Vod'ika," Bly asked gently, patting Fox's shoulder lightly.

"Yes Commander," Fox said with a nod. Bly froze at that and slowly removed his hand.

"You can just call me Bly, Fox," he said gently. Fox frowned in confusion before realising his slip up.

"R-Right, sorry," he said, shaking his head quickly. He is so used to the idea that his batchmates didn't care about him that he usually just reverts to using titles.

"That's okay. Come on," Bly said, nodding to the doorway. Fox nodded and walked ahead quickly, wanting to make sure he would see any threats before they got to Bly. Bly went to follow but his eyes landed on the Senator and he clenched his fist closed before taking a deep breath. How could he have not realised? How could he have never checked in with Fox? This is his Vod'ika, someone he is supposed to protect. He wasn't told everything that has happened to the Guard, very little in fact as there wasn't much time but he's starting to get bits an pieces. Force, he just walked in on Fox about to be assaulted and what's worse, he just seemed resigned to it. Bly wanted to shoot that stupid, disgusting Senator over and over and watch the light leave his eyes.

"Bly," Fox said in confusion, after turning around and seeing Bly was still in the same spot.

"Yeah, coming," Bly said with a sigh as he slipped his helmet on. He left the room quickly, guiding Fox out with a hand on the small of his back. His comm started beeping and he glanced down to see it was from his Lieutenant, Galle.

"Galle, is everything okay," he asked as he answered. Fox stopped walking as Bly did, wanting to listen into the call.

"Everything is fine Commander. Just wanted to let you know that we've gotten all of the Corries from the East Wing and have moved them to the back where the gunships are transporting," Galle said. Fox let out a breath of relief. It was actually happening, they were getting his men somewhere safe.

"That's good to hear. Have there been any issues," Bly asked.

"Uh, just one," Galle said slowly and Fox frowned worriedly.

"Commanders Thorn and Stone are refusing to leave until they know that Fox is okay and will be joining them. According to Commander Thorn, Commander Fox is a self-sacrificial di'kut and won't end up coming unless someone drags him there," Galle said. Fox rolled his eyes but smiled fondly as he quickly dialled Thorn on his comm.

"Fox. Ori'vod, I don't know what's happening but-."

"Thorn, it's okay. Take a breath," Fox said gently to calm him down from the panic.

"Right, yeah. I don't know if you've come across anyone yet but there's troops from the 327th and the 104th Battalion here and they're transferring the Vod'ike from the Guard to the cruisers hovering over Coruscant," Thorn explained quickly.

"Yeah, I've run into Bly and he briefly explained what's going on. Is Stone with you right now," Fox asked, hearing a slight breath of relief from Thorn at his words.

"I'm here," Stone spoke up.

"Good. Everything's okay for now so I want you two to head up to the cruisers and make sure all of our vod are doing okay. I'm on my way down with Bly now and I will meet up with you guys soon, I promise," Fox said.

"What about Thire? Where is he now," Thorn asked, and Fox let out a light chuckle.

"Thire is already up there, they cleared out the barracks and prisons first. According to Bly, our Ad'ika is scaring the GAR and yelling at them to go get karked," Fox said. Bly took note of how Fox said our Ad'ika but didn't interrupt.

"Yeah, that sounds like Thire. Stone and I will head up and hopefully get him to settle a little but we all need you there," Thorn said.

"I'm right behind you Thorn, I promise. Bly won't let me stay behind," Fox said reassuringly.

"He better not," Thorn said icily and Fox held back a sigh. The others have never held back on their opinions about his batchmates and how they supposedly treated him like shit.

"I will see you soon. K'oyacyi," Fox said.

"K'oyacyi," Thorn replied before cutting the connection.

"Fox just fixed the issue with the Commanders so you can take them up now. Fox and I will be down soon," Bly said.

"Yes Commander," Galle said. Bly ended the connection and turned back to Fox.

"Now that's done, let's continue getting the kark out of here," he said. Fox nodded and they set off down the hall towards the elevators. They aren't usually supposed to use the elevators but Fox didn't really want to risk running into a Senator with Bly and going through each floor will increase that risk. Unfortunately, despite Senator Chuchi's present, luck was not on his side and they were stopped before they could get to the elevators.

"Finally, one of you useless Clones show up. Do you know how long I have been waiting?" Fox sighed to himself as he saw Senator Dobre striding over. Bly went to step forward, already annoyed by how the Senator was talking but Fox put a hand on his hip to stop him. He stood down, deciding to let Fox handle it as he knows what to do.

"Senator Dobre, how can I help you Sir," Fox asked, stopping in parades rest.

"Who is this one? Why is his uniform colour not red," the Senator asked, running his eyes up and down Bly's form. Fox moved on instinct and shifted so he was half covering Bly, not liking the way the Senator was looking at his Ori'vod. Bly noticed the action but remained quiet for now and let Fox do his thing.

"It is Commander Bly of the 327th GAR Battalion. He has stopped by to have a look into what the Guard do," Fox said.

"Right, well he should note down that you Clones are incompetent. I shouldn't have to wait this long for one of you to walk by," the Senator said snidely.

"I am sorry for the inconvenience. What can I do for you Sir," Fox asked.

"Well, I need a coffee but before that, take off your helmet," Dobre ordered. Fox rolled his eyes under his helmet. It's always the same thing with them, they really need new ideas. He slipped his helmet off, just like he had done earlier with Hound and the aide. Hopefully this time though, the aide won't get Bly involved.

"You Clones are defective and deserve to be punished," Dobre said. Bly stiffened at his words and flexed his hand, his other hovering just behind Fox's belt.

"Yes Sir," Fox replied emotionlessly. The Senator's arm swung forwards to slap Fox who just remained still, ready to take it. Bly growled angrily and grabbed Fox's belt, yanking him back. He stepped in front of Fox and his hand shot out, catching the Senator's wrist and gripping it tightly.

"How dare you! Who do you think you are? Unhand-." Bly cut the Senator off by punching him hard in the face and knocking him out cold.

"Bly! You just punched a Senator," Fox gasped in shock.

"I don't care who that shabuir is. He was going to hit you and I'm not about to just stand here and let that happen," Bly said angrily. Fox stared wide-eyed at the unconscious Senator. That's the second one Bly has knocked out.

"Come on Vod'ika," Bly said, grabbing Fox's hand and tugging him along.

"You can't. You can't just go around punching Senators," Fox said as he trailed after Bly, clinging to his hand tightly.

"Oh well, bit late for that now," Bly said with a shrug.

"I told him your name Bly, he could get you decommissioned," Fox said worriedly. Bly mis stepped in shock before catching himself. Decommissioned? His hand gripped Fox's tighter, tugging his batchmate to his side so their shoulders were brushing.

"I'll be okay," he promised quietly. They took the elevator down to the ground floor where Fox quickly let go of Bly and shifted so there was some space between them.

"Don't leave through the front, we need to go to the back," Bly said. Fox nodded and started walking through the hall, glancing back briefly to make sure Bly was following him.

"I'm here Fox'ika," Bly said quietly, brushing a hand over the small of Fox's back. Fox nodded and kept walking quickly. Thankfully they didn't get stopped by any Senators, but Fox saw one of his men walking around by himself and his breath caught. He was the only Clone in the room and Fox frowned worriedly. He walked quicker to get to his vod'ika, analysing their movements to figure out who it was and realising it was Codex. He has been with them just over six months but he adapted well to being with the Guard despite being straight from Kamino. He took on a more protective role with the younger vod, working to help them adapt as well. It was a massive help to the Commanders as the shinies sometimes feel more comfortable with someone closer to their age and not a direct superior of theirs.

"CT-4615, come with me," he said. Codex looked over and Fox noticed the slight tension release from his shoulders. It was obvious that Codex was unsure what was going on and hadn't run into anyone that would explain it to him. Fox stepped closer so their shoulders were pressed together and he leaned his head closer to Codex's.

"Internal comms," he said quietly and Codex nodded, both o them switching their internal comms on.

"Fox, what's going on? I'm supposed to be on shift with Eel but he isn't here. I-I tried to find anyone but I think I'm the only one patrolling this floor," Codex said quickly.

"We're all okay. I don't know everything to be honest, Commander Bly has just given me the very brief rundown of what's happening. The Wolfpack's General must've arrived today because the 104th and 327th are now evacuating all of the Guard onto their cruisers," Fox explained.

"Um, what," Codex asked slowly. Fox had to hand it to him, he took the information without missing a step, even though he was clearly still confused.

"You're going to follow Commander Bly and I out the back where there is a gunship to transport us up to one of the cruisers. Most, if not all of the Guard have been evacuated already. Thorn, Stone and Thire are already up there as well," Fox said.

"Okay. But like, why? Why now? The GAR hates us," Codex pointed out, glancing briefly at Bly who was trailing behind them.

"I mean, isn't Commander Bly one of your batchmates that you haven't seen in ages because they stopped giving a shit? Why is he suddenly acting like a guard dog," Codex asked with a frown.

"I don't really know. Maybe guilt? I'll figure it out later but right now I'm just going to roll with it because they are protecting all of you," Fox replied. Codex nodded and flicked off his internal comms as they turned the corner and got to the back door.

He trusted Bly's word as he isn't a liar and never has been. But it's still one thing for his brother to say they're helping the Guard and another thing to actually see it. There isn't many troopers there, probably because they're trying to be discrete but there's a gunship with five troopers of the 327th standing nearby.

"Galle, how's the search going," Bly asked as they walked over.

"Almost done. Teeth and Admin are doing one last sweep to make sure we haven't missed anyone," Galle replied.

"That's a good idea, because you almost missed one," Fox said, wrapping an arm around Codex's shoulder and tugging him closer. Codex glanced at him in confusion before leaning into Fox's side. Fox let out a shaky breath and slipped his fingers through the gap under Codex's shoulder armour, gripping it tightly. They almost forgot about Codex, he was still walking around with no idea what was going on. What would have happened to Codex if he was left behind? What horrors would have befell him with no one there to protect him, to help keep him safe.

He tried to draw in a deep breath to relax but he realised he couldn't, something was wrong. His breathing quickened as he glanced between the gunship and the senate building. He tugged Codex closer, holding him even tighter, almost as if he was trying to fuse the two of them together. Codex looked at Fox in confusion, knowing the Commander is not a very touchy person unless someone is upset, but he especially does not do it around people outside of the Guard. To anyone outside of the Guard, it wouldn't look like anything was wrong as Fox had his helmet on and has learnt how to hide when there's anything wrong. Codex has heard many stories about Fox hiding injuries and driving the medics and other Commanders insane. Which is how the Guard learn to see Fox's tells of when he's hiding that there is something wrong. Like for instance, how he clenches his hands into fists or around an object and how he tilts his head slightly like he's stretching his neck, much like he's doing now.

"Commander," Codex said quietly as he turned to face Fox, resting a hand on his hip. Fox didn't reply but he tightened his grip even more on Codex's armour.

"Commander Fox," Codex repeated, reaching up to grab Fox's forearm. Bly turned away from Galle and glanced at Fox and the Guard trooper. The troopers voice seemed concerned but the two of them were just hugging. He was still worried though, because of the troopers tone so he moved over to them.

"Everything okay," he asked, glancing at Fox's helmet to see if he could tell what was going on. His heart shattered when he realised he couldn't. He couldn't just look at Fox and be able to tell if something was bothering him, not like he could when they were cadets on Kamino. When they were cadets, they were so in sync that a single glance at each other would give all the answers they needed. But Fox has changed. He has changed and Bly wasn't there for him, he doesn't know him that well anymore.

"We're fine," the trooper said sharply, cutting off Bly's thoughts. Bly winced but figured he probably deserved the hostility. He still wanted to make sure Fox was okay though.

"Fox, you okay," Bly asked, noticing how tightly Fox was gripping his troopers arm. Fox didn't reply or even turn to look at him, which worried Bly even more.

"Vod'ika, what's going on? Can you hear me," Bly asked worriedly. He reached out to grab Fox's shoulder but Fox flinched away harshly and the trooper moved quickly to stand in front of him protectively. Bly stepped back quickly, not wanting to make Fox uncomfortable.

"Trooper, what's going on? Do you know if he's okay," Bly asked.

"You said the other Commanders are on the cruiser right," the trooper asked.

"Yes, everyone is up there," Bly said with a nod.

"Okay. We need to get up there right now," the trooper said urgently. Bly still wasn't sure what was happening but he wasn't about to question anything when Fox clearly seemed to be going through something.

"Alright boys, on the gunship now. We will send another back down to collect Teeth and Admin once they finish the last sweep," Bly commanded. All of the 327th troopers moved immediately, Galle coming over to Bly.

"I'll stay here, make sure everything runs smoothly," Galle said. Bly nodded and turned back to the other two.

"Can you get him to the gunship," Bly asked. The trooper nodded and quickly started to guide Fox over to the ship.

Fox stumbled as he started moving, his heart racing even quicker as his breathing came out in short, sharp pants. He felt a hand on his arm, dragging him along. He wasn't sure what was happening as his mind was starting to feel hazy and his vision was blurry. He wanted to pull away from the grip but he couldn't find the energy, nor the strength. Maybe the Chancellor isn't done with him yet.

He felt something cold and hard against his back as he stopped walking before there was a jolt and the floor suddenly moved. He stumbled to the side, almost falling to the side but he was grabbed again, this time by the waist. He weakly bat at the arms, choking on his breath in panic. Maybe it's a Senator. Did Reiby come back? He must be mad about what happened. Wait, Bly. Where's Bly? Reiby can't get to Bly, he can't hurt his Ori'vod.

"N-Not Bly. S'me. You can use m-me," he choked out, stumbling again as he tried to look around. The movement sent a jolt through his head and his vision blurred even more to the point that he couldn't see anything at all. The hand holding him went to his shoulder, gripping it tightly and he jolted. His legs have out and he went to fall to the ground but another set of hands grabbed his waist.

Oh. Haha. There's two of them. It's one of those times. But it's okay, he will be okay, just as long as they don't touch Bly. They lowered him down to the ground and he went limp, laying down on his back. He was prepared for the hands to move but they disappeared entirely. Weird. He waited for them to return but after a while there was still nothing and it started to make him more anxious. He already felt like he was breathing through a bent straw but now there was an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of his stomach, one that was crawling up to his throat and making it even harder to breathe. The haziness spread through his mind, boarding complete unconsciousness but not quite there.

He jolted and cried out as hands suddenly grabbed his chest plate and he was yanked up into a seated position. His stomach lurched and he felt his helmet be ripped off just in time for him to lurch to the side and vomit, choking on his breath as he did so. He was moved around so he was bent forward, just in time for him to heave and vomit again. There were hands moving around his armour, unclipping some clasps around his chest plate but he couldn't do anything except vomit again. When his chest plate was removed, he let out a gasp and managed to suck in a breath as he felt like a light weight was lifted off his chest. It wasn't much but just enough to get some more air which cleared his head a little.

"-t's me. Fox, come on. Just breathe, you're okay. It's Thorn. Can you hear me?" Fox blinked slowly, sucking in another breath as his vision cleared more and his lungs opened up a little.

"Fox, come on. Gedet'ye."

"M'here," Fox mumbled and Thorn let out a deep breath.

"Okay. Okay, that's good. Do you know where you are," Thorn asked, coming into focus knelt down beside him. Where he is? Where is he? There was a Senator, Senator Reiby. And then Bly was ther-. Bly.

"B-Bly. He's, with Reiby, he's there. D-Don't let him touch him," he said shakily as he reached out and clutched Thorn's arm.

"Hey, hey, take a breath. Commander Bly is fine, Reiby won't get to him. You're in a gunship on a cruiser right now. We're safe okay, the Guard has been evacuated. Gunship? Cruiser? Evacuation? It was then that the memories started to come back and his panic attack died down. He drew in a deep breath, finally able to get air in properly and the ache in his head started to slowly ebb away.

"Kark, that was bad," he groaned. He blinked again and looked around, realising he was on the floor of the gunship.

"Yeah, no shit. Do you remember what happened," Thorn asked as he rubbed Fox's shoulder gently, trying to ground him more. Fox's upper armour was gone so he could feel the warmth seeping into his skin from Thorn's hand.

"I panicked," Fox said and Thorn snorted.

"Again, no shit," he said and Fox rolled his eyes.

"I don't really know what happened but I think I panicked when I realised we were actually getting off Coruscant, that we were getting somewhere safe. I was conflicted and I panicked and then I sort of closed off. Thought I was back in the room with Senator Reiby," Fox said quietly. Thorn frowned at that, remembering his own experiences with said Senator. He shuffled forwards, making sure to dodge the vomit as he sat down properly beside Fox, wrapping his arm around his shoulders. Fox let out a breath and tiredly leant against Thorn's side. Thorn shifted his arm so he could rake his fingers through Fox's hair. He tilted his head to the side and pressed a kiss to Fox's sweaty hairline.

"I-Is Codex okay? He was with me," Fox asked quietly.

"He's okay. He didn't know what to do so he ran out to get me. Pretty sure the 327th troopers panicked though. You were just laying on your back, not moving at all and mumbling under your breath," Thorn said and Fox winced.

"A-And Bly? He's okay," Fox asked with a small voice.

"He had his helmet on so I'm not sure what he was feeling. He left when I came in," Thorn said. Fox tried not to feel disappointed at those words. He had thought that maybe Bly would stay, that him coming meant he cared. So hearing that Bly left straight away, hurt and he tucked his head into the juncture where Thorn's shoulder and neck connected. Thorn frowned and hugged him tighter.

"What's wrong," he asked worriedly, noting the shift in Fox's demeanour.

"Nothing. Can you help me up? I need to find Thire and make sure everyone is okay," Fox said, pulling away.

"Hey, just give it a second. You just had a really intense panic attack, the worst I've seen from you in a long time so you need to rest," Thorn said worriedly.

"I'm fine, we've been through worse. Did I get any vomit on my armour," Fox asked, glancing down at the puddles on the ground. He winced and screwed his nose up in disgust. He does not envy who has to clean that up, in fact he feels a little guilty.

"No, you're fine. Well, you aren't fine but I tilted you so nothing got on you," Thorn said.

"Okay, good. Help me please," Fox said.

"Fox, you-."

"That's an order Commander," Fox snapped. Thorn rolled his eyes but knew Fox wouldn't back down so he stood up, holding his hand out. Fox grabbed it and Thorn gently tugged him up. He didn't let go straight away, keeping a light grip on Fox's hand while he made sure he was stable and wouldn't collapse right back down to the floor.

"I'm fine Thorn," Fox said, ripping his hand from Thorn's in annoyance. He's the Marshall Commander of the Guard and he needs to be that right now, his men are depending on him. He needs to be peak performance with no weakness. Bly said they are helping the Guard but Fox needs to make sure that's true, he needs to protect them.

"I need to go see Wolffe's General. Is he here," Fox asked. Thorn wasn't happy about Fox not resting but given the circumstances and what's happening, he knew it was best they talk to the Jedi to find out exactly what is going on.

"I think so. I saw Commander Wolffe earlier but I've been spending most of my time with Stone and Thire checking on the others," Thorn said.

"Okay. I'm going to check in on Stone and Thire first and then I'll find the Jedi," Fox said.

"I'm coming with you but yeah, let's go find them-."

"No you-."

"I'm second in command, I'm coming with you, end of discussion. Now Thire has been asking for you so lets go," Thorn said, reaching down and grabbing Fox's helmet, handing it to him. Fox knew there was no point arguing as Thorn is just as fiercely protective as he is so he nodded and grabbed his helmet, slipping it onto his head. Once it was on, he quickly grabbed his chest plate and strapped it on as well before following Thorn out of the gunship.
