Mason's Pov

After Ryder left last night, I sat in the bed. I didn't know what I was feeling. I wanted to cry but I couldn't. My chest was aching but I just sat there staring at my hands in my lap. I loved him. I loved Conner. But with everything I've done in my life, he would never feel the same way. He doesn't deserve to be with someone as terrible as me. 

I waited until he got home, and he knew something was wrong. I wouldn't talk and he eventually gave up trying. I didn't sleep at all. Now, I was still in bed. I think it was Sunday.

"Mason, get out of bed."

"I'm being lazy today."

"I know you're lying. You didn't sleep at all last night. You are being despressed. Just tell me what's wrong."

"I almost slept with Ryder." 

"Okay." 

"Why aren't you mad?" I asked, confused.

"I liked Ryder, yes, but he is obvioulsy in love with Holten. Or so I thought. What do you mean almost slept with him?"

"He is in love with Holten. That's why it was almost. The two idiots blackmailed me."

"How does someone blackmail you?" He asked sarcasticly. 

I stayed silent after that. I couldn't tell him how I felt. He would reject me and that would kill me. I already have to live with the love of my life, and know I can't have him. If I lost my best friend, I would be destroyed. 

"I love someone. I'm in love with someone and they found out. They used Ryder as bait. He double checked to make sure they were right. They were. He knew that I wanted him, because I told him I wasn't playing the game with him. I really just wanted him. I had already done somethings to him, and he threatened to tell the person I love. If he had told, I would've lost this person."

He was staring at me in complete, and utter shock.

"Y-You're in love with someone?"

I nodded.

"Wow. Uh, who?"

"That doesn't matter."

"It does to me. You know you can tell me anything."

"You! Okay, You! I've been in love with you forever, and now I've lost the only person I've ever cared about." I said, getting up to leave. I hated this. I was weak, but I had held up this emotionless dick facade for so long. 

He grabbed my arm, and pulled me back down on the bed next to him.

"Why didn't you ever tell me, Mason?"

"Because I knew I was worthless. I knew you deserved better. And the day I got the balls too, you told me you had a boyfriend."

"I thought I wasn't good enough for you. I looked at all the boys around and knew they were better then me. So I found one, and tried to move on. If  you had told me this sooner, it would've saved a lot of trouble."

Now it was my turn to stare at him, my mouth wide open. 

"Wait....What?"

"I love you too. But I can't just jump into a relationship with you. Honestly, I don't know how much my trust for you goes. You have to prove to me that you want to be with me. And first things first, we should leave this town. We have already caused to much damage." 

"Yeah. I'll prove to you. I'll do whatever it takes not to lose you." 

He leaned over and kissed my cheek.

Holten's Pov 

We had gotten back from the beach a few hours ago. Ryder and I were laying on my bed. We were watching Adeventure Time.

There was a knock in my bedroom door.

"Yeah mom?"

"People are here to see you. I'm going out. Love you!"

I rolled my eyes, while Ryder laughed. We both headed upstairs. It was probably the gang coming by to be nosy about Ryder and me.

To both of our suprise, it was two people we would never have guessed in a million years.

"What the hell are you doing in my house?!?" I yelled.

"Holton. Please, calm down. We want to apologize. " Conner said, softly.

"You're sorry?" Ryder asked.

"About everything. I know that will never make up for what I did." Mason answered, looking at his feet.

I had never seen him like this before. this was a whole new side to him.

"We won't bother you anymore. We are leaving town. I'm transfering colleges." Connor added.

I didn't know what to say and I guess Ryder didn't either.

"You don't have to say anything. We just needed to tell you. After all the damage we've done." Connor said.

I nodded. Ryder smiled softly. The two turned around and walked towards the door.

"I hope you get the happiness you deserve, Holten." Mason said, before the shut the door.

"Well that was...suprising." Ryder said. I nodded.

So no more Mason and Connor! Yayy no more drama...from them at least! There is plenty more to come!! I'm sorry I take forever to update. I love you all!
