Rudra’s POV
I was dreaming.
It was a beautiful dream; both Manzar and I were sitting on the hammock in the backyard of our house.
Snuggled into each other, no space for even air to pass,
“Rudra?”
she called me
I hummed and nuzzled her neck, she shivered being the sensitive she is.
“The dinner is on you tonight, you are cooking me pasta… remember?”
I hummed once again, nodding in her neck.
I was in love with the shivers I was gaining, her caress on my hair saying exactly what I wanted.
She kissed my head,
“I feel bad, it is you who cooks mostly or sometimes the maid… I wish I would’ve learned how to cook more than instant noodles and coffee.”
I chuckled,
“There is no need for that. You are my Queen.”
If I know her, I know what is coming next.
“And you are my Jon Snow.” Came her cheeky response
See, what I was talking about.
I couldn’t hold it, I laughed,
“You are crazy!”
She gasped pushing me away, when I pulled her back to me.
“I hate you!”
she said dramatically.
"Really?”
I asked and kissed her neck lingeringly when she shivered
She inhaled sharply.
“You make me so crazy for you”
I said holding her sides tightly, knowing very well it melts her.
I felt her skin.
Suddenly everything stilled and I heard a huge gasp.
This is when it dawned on me it was a dream and the actions were the reality.
Manzar!
I looked at her horrified face, instantly realizing I did it all in reality, eyes open wide I couldn’t held back the series of curses coming out of my mouth.
I raked my hair, I needed to get out of the room.
Right that instant.
She stopped me and held my hand, her small fingers tightly wrapped around my big wrist.
I don’t know what she said next but something held me from moving.
I was too embarrassed to understand what was happening around me when she came back into the room with an ointment.
Her warm glowing face in front of me, she was radiant and beautiful, in that very moment what I was feeling was so heightened, it even intensified.
I was afraid to make even a single move. Even blinking my eyes felt threatening.
She looked at me through her lashes and it took all my strength to look away.
A ravishing image playing in my head
Once she was done nursing I looked at the wound which was barely sensible, I didn’t even know I had scratches like that.
When she kept the tube on the bed and came closer to me, what I saw was enough for me to understand, what I did was reciprocated.
It was mutual from both the sides.
When she climbed onto my lap, what I felt was telling me, she wanted that equally. She accepted every bit of it.
But this is on me now to set a pace, to create a boundary to our actions.
We need to follow a speed, mutual for both.
From today what actions I was going to make will affect both her and my life.
A pace was must required.
She had my face between her soft palms and when her face descends closer to mine, I inhaled.
It wasn’t the words we were sharing that instant, it was the intensity of our eyes which were speaking on our behalves.
She rubbed my cheeks with her thumbs, I was sure the stubble must be scratching her skin. Her breath fanning my face, the thumping of her heart matching mine, both loud, the only sound heard behind the closed door.
When she kissed my nose softly, my eyes closed like they have a mind of their own.
Her head resting against mine, our breathing mingled.
My hands were clutched to my sides in a fist tightly, digging holes.
May be she noticed because the next thing I know, they were moving in a direction which will wrap her to me completely.
“Hold me closer, Rudra. Never let go.”
She whispered
I held her tighter than ever.
Her lips closer, too tempting to capture but I was contemplating, what to do. It was her who wanted to lead, who wanted to take this in a certain direction I was quite aware of, still kept waiting for her actions.
Our breathing was ragged, both of us were hyperventilating.
When she slowly grazed her lips with mine, my eyes fluttered open.
She did that once and then twice, she was playing with fire she was unaware of.
She was enjoying her little game, I reckoned when she smiled shyly against my mouth.
My patience running thin.
I tightened my grip on her hips when she gasped.
This time it was me who smiled.
Long forgotten the embarrassment and frustration, this was pure love, our own little tease play.
I grazed my nose firmly against hers, when with a giggle she pulled back a little.
Not wanting to let her go I pushed her back from behind which caused her to come flushed against me.
We both fell backwards on the back, my back on the bed and she on the top of me.
She was straddling me, when she noticed she started to sit up on top of me. Biting her lip she kept her hands on my chest and started to untangle herself from me.
Her dark hair fanning her face, the eues looking through the lashes down at me, the silver nise ring were calling my name.
It was the fire she ignited, taming had be done by her too. I decided.
I kept her still, my hands on her hips I pulled her down firmly, her eyes even wider.
The room was dark or I could’ve seen her red face by then.
I pulled her closer to my face,
“I am never letting you go.”
Her radiant eyes looking deep into mine, that small nose with a cute nose ring to the left grazing mine, her hair covering almost half of both of our faces.
Everything was heightening my already lite flames.
She offered one of her shy smiles to me and pulled her face closer to mine, clearly stating it was too hard for her to resist as well.
I obliged to both of our cravings right that instant.
My one hand now resting on her lower back and other holding her face to mine. She kept both of her hands on my chest, the warmth they were radiating was melting both of us.
Her small lips so soft on mine, making shy flicker movement everytime, I held on to them firmly, demanding more of her every passing second.
I was craving, I was hungry.
She was all I got. All I wanted.
She clutched on to my shirt making a fist when I understood the position could be uncomfortable for her.
I flipped our positions. She yelped giggling when I set her down, under me this time.
Still giggling she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down once again.
I am so in love with her. I declared.
.
.
I woke up feeling her untangling herself from me, “Let go Ru, they must be wondering why aren’t we out yet.”
I nodded still with closed eyes and pulled her neck back on my chest by my arm.
“It is 10 a.m Ru. Wake up.”
10 so early!
I was up within seconds, she sat up straight, adjusting her hair, tying them in a bun, she looked at me,
“Good Morn… what are you smiling at?”
I was smiling?
“It’s creepy. Stop looking at me like that.”
She said shyly adjusting her tousled t-shirt and get off the bed to walk out of the room.
I kept staring at her until she was out.
She turned and whispered,
“Creep” looking at me.
I grinned even wider.
.
.
“Look who’s up!”
Siddharth said looking at me while working on his laptop and drinking his fruit juice.
Both Manzar’s and Anusha’s laughter came from the kitchen.
Bebe walked into the living room holding incense sticks ibetween her fingers of right hand, walking all across the hall, humming some rhymes.
She nodded at me smiling, wishing me good morning.
Anusha walked to the dining table, holding 2 plates of freshly cooked egg sandwiches and Manzar right behind her holding 2 glasses.
“Here’s the breakfast for you two.”
She said taking the glasses from Manzar,
“And your juice.”
She walked upto her husband and took his empty glass pouring herself some from the jar kept on the table, she sat to his right.
She eyed Siddharth’s plate when she saw his left nuggets.
She picked one and shoved in his mouth, he made a face, she warned him with her eyes.
I smiled.
“Thank you so much and sorry for troubling you, we were so tired and didn’t realize it is…”
“Oh thats fine”
she shushed me, “Beside Manzar has already apologized on your behalf too.”
I smiled at her.
She was a kind women, her eyes are so captive yet bold. Everytime I look at her I get a warm feeling she radiates.
“How old are you two?”
Siddharth asked.
“I am 25 and He is 27.”
Manzar answered, looking at me and then him.
Siddharth nodded, thinking something to himself, looking at his wife when their grandmother joined us.
“I will get you your breakfast.”
Anusha walked back to the kitchen
“So…?”
Bebe asked looking at us, she sat right in front of both Manzar and I.
A shyly nodding Manzar replied, “Nothing.”
“Nothing? Why?” Bebe asked frowning
Manzar again nodded, “Just like that.”
Bebe looked at me this time,
“Why just like that?” quoting her words
I shrugged concentrating on the egg sandwich.
Anusha cooks really well, I think. This thing is good.
I should learn how to cook this from her, it will be good for both Manzar and I after marriage.
“There should be something good.”
Bebe insisted still frowning
“There is nothing good.”
Manzar said drinking juice
“Nothing good…”
Bebe said dramatically looking at me with wide eyes
Maybe Manzar understood what she was referring to because she chocked and within seconds replied,
“He is good.. no he is..”
Siddharth burst out laughing.
“Bebe!” he scolded her.
“Don’t mind her, she is always messing around.”
“She is a cookie, I swear.”
Anusha said running a hand through Manzar’s hair balancing a plate in her other.
“And he is good.”
Bebe said laughing mocking Manzar, who was flushed right beside me, looking beetroot as I was.
.
.
Two days passed like that.
The roads were clear earlier than expected, the rain had stopped and there were no more forecast of thunder storm.
Siddarth and his wife were dropping us back to Kasol, and as we were told, we both were almost 45 kilometers away from the camp.
All thanks to the landslides.
We reached our camp gates around 4.30.
“Don’t forget to send your wedding invitation.” Anusha said, hugging Manzar then me.
Beside me, Siddharth looked at her with raised eyebrows.
“I was right, you knew about them, being unmarried.”
She laughed walking upto him.
“You distracted me that night when I was telling you about them.”
She laughed again, pulling his cheek, who just pouted instead
She hugged him sideways and turned to look at us, “So good byes then.”
She said waving her hands
We both nodded, “Bye”
They turned and walked back to their car, when we heard a smack.
Both us turned to look into the direction where they went, when we noticed Siddharth rubbing his butt cheek and Anusha winking at him then blowing a kiss.
Manzar and I shared a look and turned back to them, Anusha noticed us still standing and waved back once again.
With this they went back to their house, and we back under the gates.
.
.
Urvi noticed us the first,
“Manzar!”
she gasped and ran upto us, hugging the life out of her friend.
Vansh must have heard her because he was hot on his heel right behind her,
“Everyone, Manzar and Rudra are here.” he shouted
Within seconds Ruhani was hugging the day lights out of me,
“Thank god you are safe, I was so scared.”
Veer patted my back.
I looked at her, who was still confused, what to say to the best friend who was showering her with questions and was relieved to see her safe.
“Who runs like that? Are you insane!”
“Have you lost you senses?”
Urvi scolded hitting Manzar’s head by her palm
She looked at me once and I blinked assuring her.
Manzar inhaled, smiling coyly she whispered to her, “I am sorry?”
She slapped her softly.
“Idiot!”
and hugged her once again, this time both were smiling.
Ruhani patted my arm and I turned to look at her, “All good?”
I shrugged.
She made a click sound and pulled me inside the cabin,
“You need to eat, you look so thin already.”
Is she my mother or sister?
