She said she was fine but clearly she wasn't, I noticed a small drop of a tear rolling down her cheek but she wiped it swiftly. She thought I didn't notice that. I cursed myself for hurting her like that.  But it was for the best. She has to hate me. I don't want to drag her into my family drama. She deserves better.

I left her alone in there and walked towards the door. I should have left but I didn't, I was hiding there only to see my heartbreak into pieces when I saw her collapse on the ground and crying vigorously. Her eyes were bloodshot and she was there all alone crying over someone who doesn't deserve a love like her's. Why did I end up hurting the exact person I love the most. I couldn't watch her, all the guilt crippled in. I went down the stairs,I wanted to be alone. I felt empty. I screamed at myself for all that has happened. First I lost Emma, now I lost June too. I wish I could just fly away to a remote island with June, free from all the complications. But I can't be selfish like that, my mom and dad needed me more than ever. I couldn't take the pain. I needed to let go of June but. How could I?  I let myself to feel after all this time and where did that take me?  I am right at square 1, depressed and alone without love. It wasn't supposed to be complicated. I can't imagine what I would do next?  Was I supposed to marry Sharon? 

Last night when my dad heard my decision, he wasn't happy as much I expected him to be. He said that he would let Mr.Thone know about it. My dad noticed my frown and comforted me that I won't be marrying anytime soon and it was just an arrangement for now. I don't know why he said those words. What did even he mean by that? 

I saw Liam and Becky were standing together, laughing about something. I don't wanna go there. Becky would definitely ask what happened?  Knowing June, I am sure Becky knows everything about us.  I just missed the time when my life was simpler and just the four of us, having the time of our life. My lives are so messed up, right now. Suddenly, I remembered someone who is a very important part of this whole thing, Sharon. Does she know?  Being born in  filthy rich family comes with its cons, right now there is a lotta drama in my life than a normal person would have ever witnessed.

I wanted to maintain a low profile, I looked around for Sharon but she was nowhere to be found. I found Mr.Thone, I wasn't ready to talk to him yet. I turned away and was about to walk in the other direction.

Drew?  If you are looking for Sharon then I suggest you turn to your right?  He said looking at me with a smirk.

Uh..thanks!  I replied instantly and started walking away.

Wait..!  He called out.

Look you dad told me everything! I don't know what you think of me!?  But I am not that bad you know?  He said looking down.

It's funny cause I could tell you the same thing, considering you are interested in ruining my life!  I snapped a little.

You don't know, what you are talking about?  He asked with a fake laugh.

I know everything! This is your plan right..?  Everything is going according to your little plan!  You blackmailed my dad about our investors in exchange for the marriage!  I said angrily.

What?!   He asked innocently.

Mr.Thone, Enlighten me?  why do you want me to marry Sharon? You hate me so much then why??!?  Is there another sick plan behind that too?  I asked out of spite.

Drew, What's gotten into you?  You've changed!  and I didn't blackmail your dad!  He came to me for help and I gladly offered him help.

And about my daughter, you two are bound to end up together in one way or another anyway!  He said with a grin.

What's that supposed to mean?  I asked confused.

Marrying my daughter will only to be good for your company, we could be partners of the firm!  He said looking at me seriously.

Is this all about the company?  God..you are impossible!   I gave a disgusted look.

You won't understand it now, but trust me you would thank me for this one day!  He said with a smirk.

I hope that day never comes!  I said spitefully and walked away.

I was walking towards Sharon, I wanted to tell her about her's dad's stupid plan and stop this nonsense right now.

Sharon?  I called her.

Oh..Hey Andrew!  She flashed a smile.

I need to talk to you about something!  I said trying to sound normal.

Okay.. Sure!   She said as she was listening to me.

But we were interrupted when my dad was making some announcement.

We welcome every one of you for this event, as everyone knows already we conduct this event for Mr.Evan's charitable trust, Happy Place. Thank you for helping us raise money for underprivileged children who lack basic amenities of life. So Cheers everyone!  He raised his glass of champagne, everyone chapped their hands in appreciation.

And there is another wonderful announcement for everyone.

This time I heard, Mr.Thone's voice. My dad and Mr.Thone were exchanging looks. That caught my attention, I was looking at him impatiently for the announcement. Suddenly someone else caught my attention, June was standing with Becky and Liam. I was looking at her, she was standing there expressionless. Our eyes met for a second or two. As I was gazing at her,  but then Dad's announcement caught my attention.

As everyone knows my son will be is graduating in 2 months and he'll be joining the family business after that.  

My dad said with a bright smile. The announcement was followed by a loud cheer.

But that's not just it!

I heard my dad again.

A year from now my son will be marrying, my good friend here David Thone's daughter Sharon Thone.

My eyes widened when I heard that announcement, I didn't know they were gonna announce it publicly. I wasn't ready for that. My friends didn't know anything. Hell, my mom doesn't know anything about it, she was looking at me with confusion. My instant reaction was to look at June it was like a reflex. I found her staring at me already looking broken. I noticed Liam and Becky were looking at me with sheer shock. But then people started cheering and congratulating me and Sharon. Sharon, on the other hand, was chilled out and really happy. I didn't even find a small glimpse of surprise in her face. I needed to talk to her about that. But right now I needed to clear things with June and my friends. I saw June stormed out of that place, Becky and Liam followed her inside. I crawled through the crowd and went inside the house.

June P.O.V

I couldn't stand there for another second, my world stood still. I was expressionless. I keep repeating the same mistakes all over again. He had hooked the minute I met him. I know he wasn't good but he was sick in my brain. His every action had a huge impact on me. This blew up on me like an atom bomb. There is only so much pain someone can take in for a day. What?!?  how can he marry Emma's sister? That doesn't make any sense!?  Becky and Liam called me but I didn't respond. Instead, I stormed out of the place into the house. Becky and Liam followed me, I guess they were concerned about me. I reached my room and started packing stuff like a crazy person. I didn't want to be in his house for another second. Becky and Liam exchanged glances. I was angrier rather than sad. I was frustrated with myself for falling for a guy like Andrew. I hated him at that moment. My feeling was just fun and games for him. He was so heartless towards me. He made me look like a fool every time I felt something deep for him. But the sad part is that I still wanted to give him a chance, and listen to his side of the story I know, that's pathetic.

Why does loving him fees so good but hurts so bad? The worst part was that, instead of explaining stuff to us that includes Becky and Liam. He was thanking random people for congratulating the happy couple (air quotes). I was furious thinking about it. At that moment I realized, he wasn't even a decent friend of mine. I thought I had something with him but I guess I was wrong. Andrew was unpredictable. I had learnt my lesson.

June?  Becky called me.

I noticed she looked a little bit teary.

What?  I asked swiftly.

June!  What are you doing?  She shouted this time.

Packing.. I gotta pack.. We are leaving tonight right?  I asked trying to hold back my tears.

June please, I am sure Andrew has an explanation for all this, there has to be something wrong! Liam said slowly.

I don't need to hear it!   I snapped.

June, please..Calm down!  Becky said looking at me.

I don't have to okay?  I don't care anymore!  He can marry anyone he wants!    I screamed in frustration.

Tears started rolling down my cheeks again.

Hey.Stop it! It's okay to be hurt!  Becky wrapped her arms around me.

I am..Fine! I  pulled away from her.

God..why am I crying?  I asked in frustration and wiping the tears off my cheeks.

June?  I heard Andrew.

Becky and Liam were glaring at him.

What's going on Andrew?  Liam asked angrily.

Andrew looked at me for a second. But I averted his gaze.

Andrew P.o.v

I looked at June, she was looking at me with disgust and hate. Suddenly I realized it,  that was all I ever wanted, For her to hate me. In that way, it would be easy for her. I can't tell her the truth, I had to push her away for her own good. All I gave her was hurt and sadness. I wanted her to happy, if not with me then with someone else. I can't hold her back with the truth. And what will she do after knowing the truth, she makes my problems her's and more complications in her life?

Why are you guys here?  You guys are supposed to be celebrating with me!?!   I asked angrily.

Are you crazy? Can't you see what's happening before you?      Becky screamed unbelievably.

What's happening?  Enlighten me?  I asked arrogantly.

Andrew?!?!  Can you hear yourself right now?  Don't you think you owe us an explanation? For June especially?  Liam asked curiously.

I left out a fake laugh.

Why are you guys being Melodramatic?  And what explanation?  I asked with an evil smirk.

June's eyes welled up and I noticed she was burning up with anger and that means my plan was working.

June I told you I had a bet about the kiss and I won.. Why are you making a big deal out of it?  I spoke coldly.

Her eyes widened in shock as I spoke those words. Becky and Liam were looking at me unbelievably.

I am not!  Did I say to ask you anything?  June spoke finally.

No? Then why are they being weird?   I asked pointing at Liam and Becky.

We are weird?!?  Becky gasped.

Yea. Why can't you all just be happy for me?  I asked  looking frustrated.

Happy for you? Wait. Let's just rewind how can you marry Emma's sister?!?!  Liam exclaimed.

I can marry anyone I want to! Why do you guys have a problem with that?  I asked angrily.

No, we don't!  I am happy for you Andrew!  June said suddenly looking at me.

I gazed at her for a moment or two. Then I noticed her bags were packed.

Going somewhere?  I asked seriously looking at her bags.

Yes!  Home!  She replied coldly.

You can't!  I snapped.

Why?!!!  She asked again.

I don't know what to tell her. I guess I said she can't go cause I didn't want to let her go.

I have nothing to tell you.. You may do as you please!  I snapped again.

I will!  I don't need you to tell me what to do.. She said with gritted teeth.

What the hell?  I asked and walked towards her.

What's your problem June?  Don't tell me, you thought our little boyfriend - girlfriend drama was real?   I asked with an evil smirk.

It was just to fool my parents!!!  I exclaimed.

June looked at me with shock and she was trying hard not cry in front of me.

Well your plan failed, you are marrying someone anyway!  June snapped.

At least it's not you!  I said suddenly.

I don't know why I said that I regretted the second I said that. 

Andrew stop it!   Liam said slowly.

You stay away from this!  I screamed suddenly.

He looked angry and also hurt. He stormed out off the room. Becky was glaring at me.

You are unbelievable!!  Becky exclaimed and followed Liam.

June was looking at me with pain in her eyes.  Her eyes were all puffy and her mascara was the smudged cause of all the crying.

Andrew?  She called out slowly.

What?  I asked avoiding her eyes.

Tell me the truth!  What's wrong?  She asked as her green eyes met mine.

At that moment, I wanted to tell her everything but I didn't.

Nothing was wrong in my life until I met you!  I said coldly avoiding her gaze.

She was looking at me seriously and then spoke.

I don't know what made you think that way!  But if that's what you really mean. I'll leave it!  She said as a small drop of tear rolled down her cheeks.

It's what it is June!  I said and stormed out of the room leaving her in the room alone.

After an hour....

I roam around the house alone thinking, after some time I went to my room and I was pacing around the room thinking about what I just did. Was I doing the right thing?  After today she'll never forgive me, I'll lose her. Why didn't I  explain the truth? No, that would complicate stuff, and she would get in the middle of my family drama.  As much it was painful for me, it was the right to let her go. Suddenly my door opened with a bang and I saw Liam standing in front of me looking furious.

What did you do?  Liam screamed.

What did I do?  I asked casually.

June..She is gone!  He said slowly.

Well, that's good!  I said trying to hide my feelings.

You don't sound like yourself!  He screamed.

Don't push it, Liam!  I snapped.

June is not on the flight to LA!  He screamed suddenly.

What do you mean?  I asked instantly.

Becky and June went to the airport together but June didn't board the plane! We lost her.   he said looking at me seriously.

What??!!  I screamed.

Yeah!  He replied.

Well then let's go look for her!  I said suddenly.

Where would you look?  He asked.

Everywhere.. We gotta find her!  I said grabbing my coat.

He looked at me with suspicion.

What are you waiting for let's go!  I called him.

Yeah.. Okay, he replied.

I reached the airport with Liam, I saw Becky was sitting in the waiting area. Buried her face in her hands. She saw us and came rushing towards us.

Why did you bring him?  I thought you were gonna call the police!  She said looking at me angrily.

Oh..get over it Becky, This isn't the time!  I snapped again.

She was about to tell something but then she gave up but I guess she realized arguing was a waste of time.

You both look near the boarding area. I will talk to airport security!  I suggested.

They both agreed.  And I informed the security about the incident. They said they will search for her but it might take time to track her down.   I left a long sigh after their response.

I pulled out my phone and was trying her cell.. A recorded voice said her cell was not reachable at the moment. Then I thought what if she was in a flight to some other place. I was pacing around like a crazy person. I asked the receptionist to check every flight for a June Paxton. But there was none.

I was getting anxious. It was all my fault I thought. Suddenly a certain brunette caught my eye near the airport security office. I walked towards her and I noticed she was with a small girl. She was talking to the officer I guess.

Excuse me, this is Rose she is lost and she is looking for her parents!     She said to the official airport security office.

I went closer to her and it was June of course.

June?  I called her.

She turned towards me and She was startled by me.

What are you doing here?  She asked coldly.

Are you crazy?!?!  I screamed unbelievably.

You were supposed to be on the flight!  I said trying to keep my calm.

Sh..dodon't create a scene and..it's none of your business!  she said looking at me.

What the heck is your problem, June Paxton !!?!  I screamed suddenly.

She was glaring at me for making a scene.

This little girl was lost and I couldn't leave her alone in this place!  she said looking into my eyes.

June?  But we were searching for you the whole time! You could have informed someone!    I said slowly.

Why?  Did I ask you to?   She asked coldly.

What's that supposed to mean?  I asked angrily.

She didn't answer me, instead, she ignored me walked past me. I caught her wrist and pulled her towards me that made her jerk a little, she was looking at me angrily.

What?!?!  She snapped again.

Don't ever do that!  I said looking into her eyes.

She was gazing at me with the same intensity for a moment or two.

I pulled her into a hug, I felt her warm breath on my neck. Suddenly she pushed me away.

I looked at her with confusion.

Your fiancé wouldn't be happy with you! Stay away from me!  She spoke coldly and walked away.

I was watching her with utter shock as she walked away.  I noticed Becky and Liam on the other side, I think they saw the whole thing.  I saw Becky and Liam exchanged a few glances at each other,I guess they were confused too.
