June P.o.v

I was sitting with Becky, who couldn't take her silly grin off her face. I was looking at her with amusement. We were having a  Roseberry blueberry smash, some mocktail she ordered.

What up with you two?  She asked with a grin.

Nothing!  I replied instantly.

Yeah right!  Becky giggled.

I saw the way you both look at each other!  She said seriously.

What are you talking about?  I said avoiding her eyes.

Don't deny it!  I know you love him!  She said in a serious tone.

Okay..You know everything about me! Happy?  I asked sarcastically.

Actually I am!  Now.. you gotta tell him!  she said looking at me.

What?? Noo!!!!  I exclaimed.

Really June?  she asked raising an eyebrow.

Fine.. But not yet!    I replied.

Alright..! She agreed.

Oh my god..I am so happy for you!  She pulled me into a hug.

Becky, I  don't even know, if he feels the same!  I said in a low voice.

That's a lot of negativity June!  Becky complained.

I am just. Saying!  I tried to explain.

You know what?  it doesn't matter. Cause what you feel is real and only an idiot will reject you!  Becky said with a smile.

Becky, you are the best!  I said hugging her tightly.

I know.. But thanks anyway!  She said smiling.

I am gone for 2 mins and you stole my date already?   We heard Liam.

I rolled my eyes.

Where have you been?  I asked.

Andrew texted me to meet him.  He said.

Oh..but Andrew went to meet his mom.  Becky filled in.

Uh.Alright then.. Let's go for dinner!  Liam called.

What about Andrew?  I asked silently.

Aw..don't worry we'll find him before dinner!  Becky whispered.

What's with the whisper?  Liam asked sarcastically.

You will know soon!  Becky said with a smirk.

He just replied with a smirk.

We reached the dining area, We found a table and sat. The place was very classy. It was an outdoor setup. The whole dining area was adorned with sparkling lights. I was looking for Andrew but I couldn't find him. I was waiting for him impatiently, he said he would join us for dinner. I kinda felt out of place cause we know only him in that place and now he was nowhere to be found. Becky gave me 'A calm down' look but I was starting to freak out. I was restless the whole time.

Then I saw some familiar face, it was Mr&Mrs Mitchell. They were followed by Andrew and some other people, I figured it was Mr.Mitchell 's guests. But when I looked at Andrew this time, he was different. He was looking as if he had seen a ghost. But then I noticed Liam, he was having the same kinda look on his face. Something was definitely wrong I thought to myself. Andrew spotted us from distance and manage to give a small smile, then he excused himself from them and walked towards us.

Liam, do you know them?  I asked pointing at Mr.Mitchell's guests.

Yes!  He said looking down.

They..um..They are Emma's parents! Liam said slowly.

Oh.    I replied instantly realizing what was the problem. 

I remembered how Andrew told about Emma's parents blaming him for the accident. I was worried about Andrew suddenly.

Uh..why are they here!?!  I asked confused.

Um. Mr.Mitchell has been friends with them, long before the whole incident.   Liam explained.

I see! I replied instantly.

You are okay!?   Becky whispered.

Yea of course!  I nodded.

Hey you guys!  Andrew greeted us cheerfully.

I know he was trying to put on a brave face. I could see the hurt in his eyes.

I just wanna help him.

Drew. You alright?  Liam asked concerned.

Yeah..why won't I be?    He asked.

Uh.    Liam started.

I am starving guys. Let's eat!  He said suddenly.

Okay!  We said in chorus.

Alright. Join me!  He said pointing at his parent's table.

We looked confused.

Common guys!  I don't want to be stuck there alone in the middle of some boring conversation.  He said with a chuckle.

And my mom was asking for you, June!  He said looking at me.

Wh..why?   I asked swiftly.

I don't know.. She kinda likes you!  He said with amusement.

Oh..   I replied shyly.

So are you guys coming or not?  he asked seriously.

Yeah..ok.. Let's go!    Becky agreed.

As we reached the table, I noticed Mr.Mitchell was glaring at Andrew but he didn't seem to care about it. Suddenly he caught my hands. I just replied with a smile. Andrew sat beside his mom. And I sat next to him, he insisted on that. Emma's parents were sitting in front of us. They were looking at us with anger.

Andrew, I don't know. Your friends were joining us for dinner.     Mr.Mitchell asked with a sweet smile.

Well..Dad, I didn't know your friends were joining.. Do you see me complaining?  He asked in uuu{uuy and with sarcasm dripping.

Manners..Andrew!  Mr.Mitchell said with gritted teeth.

Sames goes to you too!  He mumbled.

I caught Andrew's hands signalling him to calm down.

I apologize for the scene, everyone!  He said looking me.

It's okay dear!  Mrs Mitchell said as she was trying to hide the awkwardness.

So.. Andrew? I know Liam over there, who are they?  Mr.Thone asked with his tough voice.

Andrew was slightly uncomfortable about talking to him.

Uh..that's Becky over there and this is June, my girlfriend!  He said looking at me.

Everyone was speechless after that. Mr&Mrs Thone face grew dark red in anger.

New catch eh?  Don't you think it's too soon?  Mr.Thone asked sarcastically.

Andrew was fuming with anger, I could tell by his expression.

Uh. David, you know Andrew. Right?  Mr.Mitchell was talking as if we weren't sitting there.

What do you know Dad?  Andrew asked angrily.

Uh.I think we should start eating!  Liam jumped in.

That would be better! Mrs Thone said looking serious.

We ate in silence, I constantly checked Andrew if he was okay.. But his expression was not readable. He had a vague look on his face. Suddenly we heard.. Some girl. She was tall and had pretty chocolate brown eyes. She looked really pretty in her back strapless dress.

Sorry.. I am late Dad!  She said looking at Mr.Thone.

Ah..that's an okay sweetheart!  He said with a sweet smile.

Does Emma have a sister?  A question came in my mind.

I looked at Andrew, he was still expressionless.

Hi. I am Sharon.  she greeted us.

Liam?  You look different,  since the last time I saw you!  She said with amusement.

I guess..that's good?  He asked sarcastically.

Pretty much!  She said with a chuckle.

I just smiled in response.

I am Becky!  Becky said with a small smile.

June.. Nice meeting you!  I said.

Oh..pleasure!  she smiled brightly.

You know June.. Sharon was betrothed to Andrew since infancy.. But then Andrew dated Emma in high school !  and then..well...you know..   Mr Mitchell said looking at me.

Mr.Mitchell...it's all in the past!  Sharon jumped in suddenly looking at me uncomfortably.

Uh.I see!  I never knew that!  I said trying to keep my calm.

At first, we went okay with their relationship since Andrew was Betrothed to the younger sister but once we got to know Emma, We were really excited about Andrew's relationship with her.. We thought we got our ideal daughter- in -law.    he said looking at me.

He was pushing it further.

James?  What are you doing?  Mrs.Mitchell  whispered to him.

You are right. I was the happiest when I heard about it!  Mr.Thone said with a glare.

I figured this wasn't gonna end well for anyone.  I could feel Andrew's heart was racing. But He was still numb and expressionless.

Dad..just stop!  Sharon whispered.

Why? Look how happy he is after taking every ounce of happiness from me!  Mr.Thone said with gritted teeth.

I was shocked by his words. Actually I was really furious. I looked at Andrew. His eyes welled up and he was looking down.

I am so sorry.. David!  Mr.Mitchell said with guilty eyes.

What??!?!  I screamed unbelievably.

June! No!  Becky whispered.

But I was blinded with anger at that moment.

Mr.Mitchell I am sorry but your son didn't do anything wrong!! it was an accident.. Stop making him feel guilty!  I screamed suddenly.

I wasn't myself, they were getting on my nerves constantly. It pained me to see Andrew like that.

Stay away from stuff that's beyond your understanding Ms.Paxton And What do know about my son anyway? You barely know him!   He said angrily.

I know him.. More than you do for sure!  I replied instantly.

Did you know? He had depression for 2 years cause of the accident?  Did you know he still thinks it happened because of him, that he is still freaked out about driving cars, did you know he still gets nightmares about that night?  Did you know you weren't the only one affected after that night?  did you know he blames himself for your unhappiness!  Did you know he feels guilty for the rift he created between two families?  Stop making him feel terrible.. He is your son!         
I said not realizing what was happening I front of me. When I head them talk bad about Andrew. I couldn't stop myself.

After I spoke.. Everyone looked at us with a shocked expression. The whole place fell silent for a few minutes. Andrew's eyes met mine. They were filled with hurt and pain.

Uh. I need some air!  Please carry on everyone..!    He said and stood from his seat and started walking away.

I went behind him. I didn't think twice before leaving that place. Everyone was still in utter shock.

Andrew!!!  Wait.   I screamed.

He was walking really fast. It was hard to catch up with him but I tried my best. I stopped his way. And then his blue eyes bored into my green ones.

June. Just leave me alone!   He said slowly avoiding my gaze.

No..noo! you know what?   I won't!  You shouldn't feel bad about what they said there Andrew..!    I said looking at him.

Do you remember?  He asked slowly.

He was barely audible.

What?  I asked.

That stuff you just said!  He said looking at me.

Of course.. I do!  I replied looking into his eyes.

Why!?  He asked coming closer.

What do you mean?  I asked confused.

Why do you care about me?  Why did you bust out when my dad apologized guiltily to Mr.Thone.   He asked looking into my eyes.

I was speechless.. I don't know what to tell him.

I don't like when people are blamed for something they didn't do!  I said avoiding his gaze.

Is that it?  He asked as he came furthermore closer.

I tried to move away from him but he caught my hands and pulled me closer.

An.Andrew, what are you doing?  I asked silently.

Why can't I stop thinking about you, June Paxton?  He asked looking into my eyes.

What are you talking about?  I asked surprised.

When I look at you.. All I want to do is kiss you!  He whispered into my ears.

I could feel his warm breath in my ears.

Andrew?  We must get back!  I said slowly.

I don't wanna go back!  He said seriously looking into my eyes.

I wanna finish something that I told myself I would do today!  He said looking at me.

I was standing there, inches apart from him.

It's like you're standing there with the guy you love, and you look up at him and he's looking at you with such intent. His eyes say what his mouth isn't and at that moment you just know. It's that feeling where you know that you can't think of anything but kissing. It's special and exhilarating. He came really close to me, and I could feel his warm breath on my skin which sent shivers into my spine. He was looking at me seriously. My cheeks were beet red.

What's that?  I asked slowly.

But then I was interrupted again, but this time only it was by his lips.

I realized I was head over heels for him. I noticed he was smiling between our kiss. I could help but smile back.

I pulled away after a few minutes.

Um.Good night Andrew!  I said and turned away trying to hide my blush.

Good night June!  He said with a smirk.
