June's P.o.v

I made a quick list of all the things that I need. It was a 3-day trip and we needed to attend a formal charity event so we need new clothes obviously. I took Becky for a small shopping trip. We got some decent clothes. We got permission in college for taking leave. Yes, we lied cause they won't give us leave for going on vacation. I said my non-existent sister was getting married. Becky said something about an eye checkup. I packed all the stuff and was ready. I told Andrew I would meet him at the airport.

Hurry up!  Becky complained.

Coming..! I said as I closed my room and checked my handbag if I  had all the stuff that I need.

Hey you!  I heard Andrew.

What was he doing here?  I thought.

I told you, I'd meet you at the airport!  I exclaimed.

Yeah, I chose to ignore you!  He said with a wink.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

Come on, let's go!  He said pulling my hands.

Um.What about Liam?  I asked.

He is waiting in the car!  He replied.

We reached the car and Liam was smiling at us brightly.

Hello Gorgeous!  He smirked at Becky.

Hey..Uh..you look weird? Why are you wearing sunglasses inside the car?  She asked sarcastically.

You suck at giving compliments!  Did you know that!?  He said rolling his eyes.

Becky smiled sarcastically.

We had a good laugh. We reached the airport after an hour drive. We took our luggage and were approaching the entrance.

I can't believe we are going to London!  Becky said with excitement.

You, me both!  I said with amusement.

London baby!!!  Liam screamed.

After his scream, a few heads turned and gave us a weird look.

Liam. You seriously gotta stop doing that!  Becky said sarcastically.

What!?!  It's fun!  Liam said defending himself.

Yeah!  If you are a retard!  Becky said with a sarcastic grin.

Guys, our fight is in 10 mins!  Andrew called us.

We went through all the procedures and finally boarded our flight.

My seat was near Becky, Thank God for that! I wanted a distraction from Andrew for a while.

So you and Andrew huh?  Cute!  Becky winked.

Seriously?!?  You too?  I asked sarcastically.

What!?!  I am happy for you!  She said with a genuine smile.

Well, there is nothing to be happy for!  We are just...    I stared.

Don't say, friends!  You are way past that!  Becky complained.

I don't know.. Why should this be so complicated?  I asked sadly.

Ah.. come on. We are on vacation!  No boyfriend drama!  Okay?  She said with a smirk.

I gave her a sarcastic glare. But then again she was right.

You know what?  You are right!  I am not gonna be one of those girls who cries over a guy forever.     I said smiling at her.

Yeah!  This vacation is gonna be beyond amazing!  She replied reflecting my smile.

We chose British Airways and our fight was a 10-hour flight. We were to reach London Heathrow airport (LHA) in 10hr&10min to be precise.

Becky and I were really bored, we decided to have a Harry Potter marathon. We were watching it as reminiscing our childhood days. I don't know why but watching Harry Potter takes me to my childhood days. In ages like 13 to 14, I had this huge crush on Draco, Becky still remembered that and teased me. We were having a great time and I don't know when I fell asleep. I fell asleep watching the movie.

After a while of little nap, I felt kinda cold. I felt someone wrap a warm blanket around me. I smiled a little and resumed my nap. Suddenly I realized I was leaning on someone and it wasn't Becky. I could smell a manly cologne which smelled more or less like musk. When the realization hit me I woke up with a jerk.

Rise and shine!  Sleepyhead!  Andrew exclaimed.

What the hell are you doing!??  I asked startled by him.

Rude!  He pouted.

Where to dreaming about me?  Explains the drool!  He smirked and his eyes were shining.

Uh...stop with your flirty comments and that eye thing that you do!  I said looking away.

What eye thing?  he asked innocently.

Why are you here?  I asked with a straight face.

I was bored!   He exclaimed.

So you thought it would be fun to watch me sleep!?!  I asked sarcastically.

Well. Yeah, I observed certain stuff!  he said with his signature smirk.

Uh..creepy much?  I asked rolling my eyes.

You smile a lot while you are asleep!  He said gazing at me.

My cheeks slowly started turning red.

I mean, who does that?!?  He asked with a chuckle.

Well..you creepily watch other people sleep?  Who does that?!?  I asked sarcastically.

I don't watch other people..it's just you!  he said again looking seriously into my eyes.

Well, how unfortunate!?!  I asked avoiding his gaze.

He was about to say something but then we heard an announcement.

Attention passengers, we are about to land!  Welcome to London!  Have a great day everyone!

We landed after 5 mins and we collected our luggage and then started walking towards the exit. A new Audi Q7 was standing in the front and the driver had a sign called Mr.Mitchell and friends. I looked Andrew with wide eyes. But he didn't seem to bother about it.

The car ride was silent for me but Liam and Becky kept on talking about some movie they saw in the fight earlier, they were arguing about the climax of the movie. how random can they be?  I thought. After a 45 min drive, we reached a huge mansion. The entrance had a huge signboard called Mitchell's residence. As we entered the property. We saw a beautiful garden, the grass was neatly trimmed, the flowers were never plucked and the trees were greener than any tree I had ever seen. When I looked at the front view of the house, it was majestic. The garden had few sculptures, I am guessing they were antiques. The whole house was elegantly designed.

You live here?  Becky asked unbelievably.

Are you some kinda royalty?  I asked sarcastically.

Shut up, you guys!!  Andrew rolled his eyes.

It's like we walked into Taylor Swift's blank space video!!  Becky whispered.

Yeah, tell me about it!  I agreed with her.

I heard that!  Andrew mumbled.

Dude?  I thought we were going to the other house!  Liam commented.

You have other houses too?  Becky gasped.

Liam,  I swear!  He punched Liam playfully.

Andrew!!  Finally, you are at home!  We head a strong British accent.

We got out the car and Andrew's mom came rushing towards him. I saw a small drop of tear in the corner her eyes when she hugged Andrew. I remembered my mum's reaction when I went home after a long leave once  and I smiled reminiscing.

Who do we get here?  His mom asked looking at me and Becky.

Mum!!  The lovely lady in the right is Becky and there is the gorgeous June to your left!    Andrew introduced us.

I can't help but laugh at his cheesiness.

It's nice to meet you Mrs.Mitchell!  I said politely.

Oh please.. Call me Margaret!  And it's great to meet you finally.. Andrew has told a lot about you!  She said with excitement.

I was surprised by hearing that, what did he tell her?

Andrew nodded his head, signalling his mom to stop.

Liam!!!!  She said pulling him into a welcoming hug.

Mrs.M!  I have missed you!  Liam exclaimed.

I am glad you all could make it!  Andrew mom said with a bright smile.

Well..we are glad to be here! I replied with a small smile.

I am starving!  What's for Lunch?!  Andrew asked.

Your favourite! Come on in everyone!  she invited us.

As we walked towards the entrance, I saw a huge door with carvings of a beautiful parrot on it. We walked in through that huge door. His house was like a palace. Everything looked opulent from the gleaming Mahogany wooden floors covered in loving throw rugs to the sheer curtains billowing like mist on the wall of floor to ceiling windows that faced a slope and then sunset. Nothing else. The furnishing was old but had a story to tell, so they had to be antiques with what looked like hand-carved workmanship each area of the room melting into the beauty of the next with some delicate settees next to more heavy bookcases and fireplaces that mated with the walls that appeared to be actually used.

We ate on a large dining table. The food was served as if we were having a feast. It was overwhelming. His mom was very kind and she had a bright smile on her face the whole time. Andrew was telling stories about us becoming friends. His mom listened to him with amusement in her eyes.

You know, you both look great together!  His mom said looking at me and Andrew.

I was surprised by her and my face suddenly turned beet red.

Uh..no!  We aren't..   I started.

Well, we are a work in progress!  Andrew chuckled.

Awww... Becky cooed.

Liam was smirking at me.

I shot a death glare at Andrew. But he didn't seem to care about my reaction, he was busy eating his English muffin.

What are you doing?  I whispered as I moved closer to him.

Sh. Just go with it!  I'll explain later.  He said looking at me.

Fine!  But you better have a pretty good explanation!  I replied instantly.

He just replied with a smirk.

After we finished our lunch, I walked into his living room and was looking at all the pictures of Andrew that was in there. I found the chubby baby picture of him. He was looking adorable. Then I saw a picture of him that looked really familiar. I took the picture in my hands to get a closer look.

When was this taken?  I asked Andrew's mom who was standing beside me.

It was when he was in middle school.  She replied.

It looked oddly familiar.

You make my son smile from his heart, I never saw that smile for years now!  She said with teary eyes.

I don't know what to tell her, so I just smiled.

I wish you both all the happiness in the world!  She said looking at me happily.

My heart melted when she spoke those words. And I realized I was lying to her about us being a couple. I wanted to tell her the truth.

What are you both talking about?  Andrew asked as he approached us.

Nothing just chit-chatting. June is an excellent choice! I am happy for you!  She said with excitement.

This time he was a huge grin on his face. I can't figure out what was his plan?? 

Andrew!!!!  We heard a really deep voice.

It was Andrew's dad. He was looking like an older version of Andrew the only difference was that Andrew had his mom's eyes.

Dad!!  He said and went to him a warm hug.

Ah..I've missed you son!  His dad said with a smile.

After a minute, his dad noticed us.

And they are?  His dad asked looking at us.

This is Becky my friend and this is June, my girlfriend!  He said casually.

Andrew introduced us to him. We smiled awkwardly. I was shocked by his last statement, why was he lying to his parents? I thought. He better has a really good reason to explain.

I didn't know you bringing your girlfriend!  His dad said looking slightly annoyed.

Well..there was a last-minute change of plans!  Andrew said casually.

You know.. I don't like this!  Right??  His dad asked him seriously.

Okay!  I gotta go now, I am tired!  Andrew said avoiding his dad.

Wait. Don't turn away while I am talking to you!  Andrew's dad said angrily.

Dad?  What do you want me to say?  You know..this is why I never come home!!  Andrew said with a hint of despair.

Andrew's dad looked confused for a moment or two, then he came near Andrew and hugged him again.

You look tired, go freshen up we have organized a small welcome party for you!  Andrew's dad said with excitement.

What!?!  No.. you didn't!  Andrew exclaimed.

Yes, and bring your friends too!  He said with a small smile and went away.

This is Gary, our butler!  Margaret pointed a tall and lean man who was standing in the corner.

Gary, please show everyone their rooms!  Margaret said.

Gary nodded in response and we went along with him.

Seriously..people can get lost in this house.  Becky whispered to me.

Do we have a map for his place?  I asked sarcastically.

Actually we do mam! Gary replied.

His response made us bust into laughter, we were giggling the whole time. I was slightly disturbed by Andrew's dad's reaction but I didn't think too much about it. It was a vacation after all.

As we entered into the room, it was like a hotel suite. The sheets on the bed were neatly pressed. There was a huge king size bed and the feeling when we sat on the mattress was heavenly. The room had an elegant finish with wooden flooring. We even had our own balcony and the view from there was amazing. We unpacked everything and kept inside our wardrobe.  Becky and I were lying on the bed lazily watching TV.

Suddenly we heard a knock, I was too lazy to get out of the bed and open the door.

Becky!  Could you be a doll and get the door?!  I asked.

Can't.. It's your turn anyway!  Becky said sarcastically.

Uh.Fine!  I got up reluctantly.

I opened the door to find Andrew with a huge grin on his face and he had some bag in his hand.

Hello love!  He smirked.

You!!  You got some serious explaining to do!  I exclaimed and pulled him inside.

Oh.. Come on, give me a break!  Andrew complained.

No!  Why are lying to your parents?  About..about us?  I asked feeling slightly awkward.

Am I now?  Andrew smirked again.

Alright, that's my cue!  I leave you two to discuss!  Becky said with a wink.

I gave a death glare. Andrew was enjoying watching me getting annoyed.   

Andrew!  I am serious??!  I exclaimed.

Uh.Fine! My dad is kinda old fashioned he wants me to marry the person he chooses for me.  Every time he starts about me taking over the business and then marrying the perfect girl who is perfect for our family.    He said with a straight face.

I listened to him patiently at first but then I broke into laughter.

Do you mean like an arranged marriage?  I broke in laughter.

Ah..my misery is taken as humour!  He said sarcastically.

Alright.. sorry but you gotta agree that is a little bit funny! I said trying hard not to laugh again.

Ya well..it's what it is!  He said looking at me.

Wait.I still don't see how I fit into the picture!  I asked sarcastically.

God..you are like a turtle!  He said sarcastically.

Explain!!!  I exclaimed.

Well..I told you are my girlfriend so that they would not start again!  He said.

So you practically made your dad hate me!  I replied instantly.

You think a lot!  Now get ready we are going to the party!  He said smiling at me.

Do I have to go? I asked with annoyance.

Yeah.. What will I  do without my girlfriend at the party?  He smirked.

Oh..I almost forgot!  This is for you!  He said giving me a box wrapped like a gift.

What's this?  Are you bribing me?  I asked sarcastically.

Not exactly but you what whatever fits!  He said smiling sweetly.

I opened the box to find a beautiful white evening gown. I was surprised, I can't take my stupid grin off my face. Andrew was looking at me with amusement.

Do you like it?  He asked curiously.

Yeah, it's okay!  I said avoiding his gaze.

Oh don't kid yourself, you love it!  It's all over your face!  He said smiling.

Okay.. It's good!  I am surprised.I didn't know you had great taste in clothes!  I exclaimed.

There's a lot you don't know about me!  He winked and went away.

I was standing there with the huge grin on my face and that beautiful dress in my hands.

Hey..wear it today! And  I'll pretend I didn't see you hugging the dress!  I head Andrew.

He startled me.

Oh..get outta here!  I punched him playfully.

Alright. Be ready at 7!  He said looking at me.

Bye!  I said smiling brightly.
