June's P.o.v

I was walking with Becky towards the auditorium. As we reached the entrance. Many familiar faces were going out of the Auditorium in a hurry. I spotted Cherry who looked like she was in a rush. I stopped her suddenly and asked what was going on there? 

"Oh, June!  I was looking for you! "  Cherry exclaimed flashing a toothy grin.

"Why?"  I stared blankly.

"Haven't you heard? There is this special workshop on weekends."   She gave the brand new information.

"Weekends!!?!??"  Becky looked a bit outraged.

"Yeah!  But it's not like our usual classes."   She added carefully noticing her reaction.

"It doesn't matter!  Weekends are off-limits!"   I said firmly giving a small smile to Becky.

"Totally!"   Becky muttered not looking so sure.

"Are two you sure? I mean I saw your friends, they were on the registration queue!"  Cherry said with a smug look.

"Friends??!  Who?"   I asked curiously.

"I am sure I saw Liam and Hey. You were his Date, right? "  She asked pointing at Becky.

Becky's cheeks turned red and she gave a nod. Okay, focus!  she said 'Friends ' aka plural.

"Who else was with him? "  I asked suddenly being extra curious. 

"It was.. God, I forgot his name! I think An.."   She started.

"Andrew? "   I completed her sentence with a huge grin on my face which by the way Becky did not miss catching me do it. 

Here that we exchanged a couple of suspicious looks towards each other.  What were they doing registering for this class? More than that, Why were they? 

"Uh.Yeah!  I heard students from other colleges were also welcomed to a part!"    She added with a bright smile.

"Seriously!?! "  Becky exclaimed.  

Someone was really excited! 

"Yea. Okay, I gotta go..! I'll catch you guys later!"    She said and headed towards the other direction.

"Later! "   We replied in chorus.

Why would they waste their 'Partying Hard ' weekends on a stupid workshop?  I thought to myself.

"So do wanna register?"    Becky asked suddenly.

"Hell no!"    I almost yelled.

"Uh..kay!  I was just asking, you know? "   She said shyly.  

Why was I not convinced with her 'okay'? 

"Oh god!   You want to go to that stupid class with Liam?"   I confronted her but she wasn't really surprised by my outburst.

"Of course not!"   She said awkwardly.  

You do want to!

"Becky Gomez!  I know.. When you lie?  Why do you wanna register? I am sure you not into academics! "   I asked sarcastically.

"Hey, that's the thing!  It's not about academics or boring book stuff. They teach us life-saving skills like Camping and stuff. Also, I heard it we get to go on a trip."    She said with excitement in her eyes.

"How do even know that?"    I asked as my lips formed into a small 'O'.

"It's on our college website! "  She flashed her mobile to me.

"Seriously you wanna do this?"   I asked as my lips formed into a thin line hearing that. 

"Well.. Yeah! It would be fun, I guess!"   She said giving me her puppy dog face.

"You wanna do this for fun?  Like I am gonna buy that!"  I teased.

"You'll never know!"    She winked.

"Uh..does this means I gotta register with you?"    I asked making a fake gasp.

"Well, if you want too!  I mean there will be Andrew! "  She said with a mischievous grin.

"Turning the tables are we? "    I tried to act calm.

Okay!  Maybe a little part inside me wanted to go because Andrew was in that too.

"But what about our weekends? "   I whined.

"Yeah right!  As if we go partying every time!  Come on our lives are boring as hell!  We sit together and watch Netflix for the whole day!  And hell.. we enjoy that too!  We don't have any Social life in June! "     She did make a point on this one. 

"Well..that is true but.."    I wanted to defend myself by telling something witty but I couldn't find any reason not to go to that class.

"But what?  Do you think?  You can have a fun weekend without me? "     She again made a Puppy face.

"No!  Don't pull the Bestie Code!"     I exclaimed.

"Come on!  It would be fun! "    She kept nagging.

"I guess!"   I replied looking unsure.

"I'll take that as a yes!"    She flashed her sparkling smile.

"Let's go now! "  She pulled me towards the IT block.

It was where all the registrations took place.

We were standing in the line. I noticed Liam in the front. Becky wanted to call him but I suggested we play dumb and let him come to us. We agreed, later on.

"June?  You are here?"    I heard a voice.

I turned back to see Justin walking towards us.

"Oh hi!  What are you doing here?"    I asked looking slightly awkward.

"I came here for the same reason as you! "   He gave a small chuckle.

"Right!  Sorry!"     I rolled my eyes.

"Hey.. I would like you to meet Tina! "    He introduced a blond, she looked kinda familiar.

I found out why she looked familiar, Tina was also contestant from another college.

"Hey, aren't you the one who did Ballet in the dance competition? "   I asked as I reorganized her.

"Uh.Yeah!  It so sweet of you to remember!"     She smiled sweetly.

"No.. you were really awesome that day!"   I complimented her.

"Well..Thanks! "   She smiled and took Justin's hand.

We heard her phone ring and she excused herself to take the call.

"You've got a date?"   I asked him looking amused.

"I know! I am sorry if that was awkward for you! "   He apologized suddenly.

"Wh-What??  Of course, I am not!  I am happy for you!  She is sweet!  "   I said genuinely happy for him.

"Really!??  Thank god!  I thought you might be upset over it! "  He replied looking rather awkward.

"Nah..I think we are better off as friends!"   I said clarifying.

"Yeah.. Sure Alright, I'll see you soon?"   He was about to take leave.

"Yeah!  Bye! "  I smiled.

The line was really long. It was almost 20 mins since we came. I wasn't known for my patience. I was complaining every 5 mins.

"Shh! Can't you be quiet!?! " Becky scolded.

"Fine! " I said and rolled my eyes.

"That's good! " She said turning away.

"Hai!"   I heard Liam.

Don't blow our cover!  I gave a look at Becky we wanted our plan to work.

"Oh, you are here too?"  Becky as she was trying to play it cool but honestly it was just funny.

"I saw you looking at me when you came inside the room! " He replied with a smirk.

Becky's cheeks turned red with embarrassment so much for playing it cool.

"It wasn't me Liam! " Becky defended herself.

"Sure you weren't! " He said sarcastically.

I was looking for Andrew. He wasn't with Liam, Where could he be?  

"Looking for someone? " Liam smirked at me this time.

"No!  I was watching if our line was moving!"    I replied swiftly.

"Right!  But just so you know Andrew isn't here! "  He said as he was clearly enjoying my misery.

My heart sank a little when I heard that! 

"Um. Why not?"    Becky saved me.

"He got worked up the cause of the waiting so he went to the canteen to grab something to eat!"    Liam explained looking at me.

"Oh! " I left out a sigh in relief.

"Looking for me? "      It was Andrew himself. 

When did he come?  It was like he appeared outta thin air? I turned back to see him with 2 sodas smiling brightly.

Speak of the devil!  God!  The devil was devilishly handsome! 

"What are two doing here? "   I asked looking seriously.

"What does it look like? "   Andrew shot me a question instead of answering mine.

The arrogant Andrew was back for sure.

"Right!  But why?"    I asked looking curious.

"We just happen to like this subject!"    Liam tried to keep a straight face.

"Subject!? "   Becky had a smug look on her face.

"They didn't read the course description.. did they?"   Becky whispered to me.

"This is gonna be fun!"   I mumbled.

"So do you happen to know, what's this course about?"   I threw a question looking innocent as a lost puppy.

"You sure do ask a lot of questions.. Love! "  Andrew tried to distract me with his accent and that strange eye thing he does, that hypnotizes people.

"And you happen to like this 'Subject '? "   I said as I did the air quotes.

"Yeah!  Why are you suspicious of us?  Our intentions are good here!"    He said as he took a step closer with his signature smirk on his face.

"I -I beg to differ !"   I shuttered awkwardly cause of the proximity.

"THE REGISTRATION IS ABOUT TO BEGIN, PLEASE TAKE YOUR PLACES."  We an announcement suddenly.

Thank you Lord for that Announcement, it saved me from him. The registration began and we registered and came out off the IT block.

"What now?"   I asked him pretending to look disinterested.

Actually I was happy inside! 

"We get back to the Auditorium, Come on.. our results are about to be announced. "   He said holding my hands.

I felt butterflies in my stomach but I tried my best to act normal.

"Okay!"  I smiled and we walked towards the auditorium.

Andrew P.O.V

We went to the auditorium and we were searching for empty seats like always.

"Hey!  Look free seats! "   Becky exclaimed.

I found Jason and his friends besides those seats. So hell no, we aren't sitting there. How come Becky always shows seats where Jason sits?  I was so annoyed but that thought.

"We can't sit there!"    I said with a rigid expression.

"Why not? "   Becky asked instantly.

"Come on!  There are free seats in the front! "    Liam pulled her.

"You don't have to stay mad at Jason you know?"   June mumbled after they took leave.

"I am not mad at anyone...I just don't like that guy!"    I explained trying to calm my nerves.

"Alright.Whatever you say!  "   She smiled a little.

We sat in the second row Since all the other seats in they were full.

"Great! Now we can't even talk cause Mr.Anderson wouldn't stop shushing! "   Becky complained in a muffled voice.

I chucked just to annoy her more.

"What's so funny?? "  Becky was glaring at me.

"Nothing! "  I nodded.

" FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO SETTLE DOWN. "  The principal started to speak and everyone settled down immediately.

"THE PAST THREE DAYS WERE REALLY GREAT FOR EVERYONE OF US, BUT ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END RIGHT? "    She stopped suddenly. 

No!  Why do all the good things have to come to an end? 

She was thanking people who were a big help, God.. she wouldn't stop talking. I was losing interest in the speech. June was sitting beside me. I knew she was trying hard to listen to the speech, that was just the way she was. And for some strange reason, I can't stop staring at her. I wanted to talk to her but she was not even looking at me. 

Was the boring principal speech interesting than me?  

"Ju.,"  I mumbled. 

No answer!   

" June! "  I did not give up. 

More silence!

"June!!!!!  " I called again.

"What?"     She whispered back. 

Ah..finally Success! 

"I am bored! "  I complained.

"So?"  She gave a look more like a glare for disturbing her.

"Come here! "  I asked her to come closer.

"Will you quit bothering me then?"   She asked looking serious.

"No! "   I replied sarcastically.

"Then no! "  She said firmly.

"Fine, I'll come! "   I leaned closer to her.

"Wh..what are you doing? "   She shuttered looking kinda startled.

"I am not good at whispering so if I was closer to you? It's not be necessarily important to whisper right?  "   I  tried to come up with an intelligent comeback but failed miserably.

"You are not making any sense! Now leave me alone!"   She said trying not to get the attention of any staffs.

"Your hair smells nice! Is that a new shampoo? "   I asked suddenly.

"What?!!?!"      She asked clearly taken off guard.

She was looking at me as if I had confessed a murder. But I enjoyed her response, What can I say?  I liked to annoy her! 

"Eyes on the stage you two! One of the professors interrupted us.

"Uh.Sorry, sir! "   She apologized looking a bit flushed.

I gave a fake smile to him before she threw a glare at me and turned away in the opposite direction.

"WE ARE GLAD TO INFORM EVERYONE, THAT WE DID ACHIEVE A WORLD RECORD WITH OUR MASQUERADE BALL. "  The principal gave the happy news. 

Her words were followed by a loud cheer from everyone.

"A total of 785 singles turned up at a dinner and dance at the  for the Masquerade Ball, organized by the marriage-promoting Social Development Network (SDN); the event sets the new world record for the Largest speed mixer event, according to the World Record Academy." She read out from the report.

Everyone was very happy about it. There was a lot of cheering.

"I AM VERY HAPPY ABOUT THE RECORD. I THANK EVERYONE FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION. NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. "    She said in a chirpy tone.

She started announcing the prize winners for various events. Liam was looking at me nervously.

"DANCE - ANDREW MITCHELL AND LIAM HAMILTON WINNERS FROM the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA. RUNNER UP STACY JOHNSON AND LINCY TAYLOR FROM ST.THOMAS COLLEGE. "    She announced with a grin on her face. 

The announcement made us go crazy. Liam was jumping in joy. We were on cloud nine. June and Becky were screaming a lot.I pulled June into my arms and gave a warm hug, She hugged me back. And we reached the stage and received the prize. We heard a loud cheer from everyone.

The function lasted for another thirty minutes, It was concluded finally.

"SO THIS IS A GOODBYE FOR THE STUDENTS FROM OTHER COLLEGES SO WE WOULD LIKE TO SEND YOU GUYS WITH HAPPY FACES."    That actually made me said.  

Why did she have to say goodbye?!  

"WE HAVE ORGANIZED A SMALL CONCERT, SO EVERYONE BE AT THE GROUND AT 4'O CLOCK SHARP."  

"NOW YOU MAY be PROCESSED TO HAVE YOUR LUNCH." 

The function was over and we went out of the Auditorium.

"So Lunch?"   Liam asked looking at us.

"Uh.I don't wanna eat here! "   Becky said suddenly.

"We have a lotta time to kill..Let's go out!"     She suggested.

"Not a bad idea! "   I agreed immediately.

"June? "   I asked her.

"Um.Sure!"     She nodded with a smile.

"Do any of you have a car? "    She asked arching her eyebrows .

"Nope! "  Liam replied casually.

"Great!  Now what?"    Becky rolled her eyes.

"Well..We do have our bikes!"   I replied slowly.

"What??  No!  No way! "  June said firmly.

"Bikes!??!  Yay!  "    I always wanted to ride a bike!  Becky exclaimed in joy.

"Well..You are not gonna!  At least not today!"    Liam made a serious face.

"Ah. Come on!"   She complained.

"Alright then let's go. We'll grab our keys!  Meet us in 10 mins near the front gate! "   I said looking excited.

"Hello!?  Haven't you heard about me?  I can't come!"   June started.

"Why not? "   I questioned her.

"I am scared of bikes! "   She said looking slightly embarrassed.

"That's ridiculous!  You are coming!"   I said firmly.

"But.."    she started.

"Alright.. guys we'll see you both soon!  "   Becky said smiling brightly.

June threw another glare at Becky.

"Kay!  Bye! "   I replied and started walking in the other direction.

"See you later!  Both of you! "    Liam said and made "Be there" face at June.

"Okay, Bye! "    June waved.

I came to my block and got freshened up. I took out a Black Shirt and got changed.

"Let's go!"    Liam said coming out from his room.

I nodded and walked towards the door.
