June's P.o.v

It was a fine morning, I pulled out of my bed without any mood. I can't help it, my bed was getting a little too comfortable since it was one of those cold mornings. Its was 6.00 in the morning. I brushed my teeth and grabbed my running shoes and earphones and played my Playlist and went out for a run.  

I was in my running clothes. I was so deeply engaged in music and started running. It was about 15 mins since I started running. I could not hear anything since my music was pretty loud. Then I felt a hand over the shoulder. To my surprise it was Andrew.

"Hey! I was running and then I saw you."  He said with a smile.

"Oh..hi! Good morning I was just on a small jog!"  I replied swiftly trying to catch my breath.

"So you run huh? Mind if I join?"   He asked looking slightly surprised.

"Umm..sure! Tag along!"  I replied cooly.

I am not sure how this is gonna end now.

"So did you sleep well ?"  I tried to start a conversation.

"Like a baby!"  He winked.

I smiled faintly and continued running.

"So Justin and you are friends?"  He asked suddenly.

"Um..not really just a fellow classmate..Why do you ask?"  I shot him with a question

"Ohh no.. just asked!"  He replied with a straight face

No, he didn't! Something was bothering him for sure.

Then the whole jogging thing went with awkward silence. I prefer Becky to be my fitness partner. But she slept in and it was her cheat day. I didn't wake her cause she is less annoying when she is asleep.

After running around a mile he finally spoke.

"If I ask you something will you answer honestly?"   he asked shooting a serious look at me.

His question actually surprised me.

Oh, no..what now? What's he gonna ask?

"Uhh.Sure?"  I said the panting cause of the running.

"If I had asked you before Justin for the ball, Would you have agreed to go with me?"  He asked looking curious.

"Uhh..um...I don't know! Well. I barely know you."  I replied suddenly.

Oh my god! Did I just do that? Why? Why? Why would I say that to him? But I wanted to go with him. Why is this so twisted and confusing?

"Really? Don't lie to me! Who do you think you are huh?"  He started shouting.

He was glaring at me now.

"Why would I lie? In fact, I am just stating the facts!"  I said politely.

Why would I challenge him like that? Everyone knows he is like the popular guy in college, he is just perfect. But why does he even care about what I would do he if he had asked me?

"No one ever rejected me like that!"  He said looking angry.

"Well..You never really met anyone real then!"  I replied instantly.

"I never met someone so arrogant!"  He said looking furious.

Okay. That hurts! Counterattack time!

"Oh please.. that feeling is now mutual!"  I snapped.

"You think you are like a celebrity? Huh? Everyone here is dying to go to the ball with you huh?"  I asked swiftly.

"Darling! I don't think or assume! I just know that."  He said with a smirk.

God his annoying smirk.

"Listen! I don't really care what anyone thinks about you! For me, you are just someone who is really mean and so full of yourself!"   I snapped again, I was really annoyed by his tone.

"Oh please! You think I give a damn about what you think About me? You are a bloody nobody! I thought you know that!"  He spoke coldly.

"I am glad actually, I can be rid of you finally!"  He said Spitefully.

The moment he spoke those words tears started filling my eyes. But I would not give him that satisfaction. So I acted like I don't care.

"Good for you! Now if you'll excuse me. I have other important stuff to do!"  I said in a low voice.

And started walking away.

Andrew P.o.v

That's it? That's all you are gonna say? Important stuff my foot!

"Whatever!"  I started but She walked away in a rush within in I finish what I was about to say.

I left out a grunt in frustration.

"What happened to me?"   I shook my head in disbelief about what just happened.

I went back to my block thinking about What just happened?

"Hey bro! Where have you been?"  Liam asked looking confused.

"Running!"  I replied bluntly.

"Dude, you told you'll meet me by the gym. Why were you running?"   He asked.

Ya, I did! But that was before seeing June running. God, what am I thinking?

"What is the problem? Is someone not allowed to Run here?"  I screamed in annoyance.

"Chill Dude.God, what has gotten into you!"  He asked looking surprised.

"I bet its Kate again!"  He started making an assumption.

Oh please do I even care she exists!

"I gotta go!"  I said silently.

"No, you are not!"  He said blocking my way.

"What happened?"  He asked in a pressing tone.

"Nothing worth mentioning!"  I snapped.

"Oh really? Then why are you like this?"  He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Like what?"  I asked looking annoyed.

"Like wanting to kill everyone around you!"  He said sarcastically.

"That's my natural face. Don't you know?"  I said and walked away.

I ignored him and walked towards my room and locked the door. And processed everything that had happened. I took out my white shirt and jeans and went to shower.

June P.o.v

I rushed into the room and started breaking down but later I noticed Becky sitting on my bed. She came running and hugged me.

"What is wrong?" She asked looking concerned.

"Nothing worth mentioning!" I said between my sobbing.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" She asked.

"No! At least not now!" I replied instantly.

"After a few seconds.. I can't make it today.. You know for the 'Color festival'  "  I said slowly.

"What? Nooooooo! Please don't do this to me!"   she cried.

"If you don't go.. I don't wanna go as well!"    She told a few seconds later.

"No!! You have to go! Harris will be there!!"    I suddenly.

Uh Oh! It shouldn't have told her that, it was supposed to be a surprise for her.

Harris was Becky's high school crush. He was the Event organizer for today's function. I saw his name below the poster of the Color Festival.

"Whh...Whhaaaattttt???!??!"  Her jaws dropped in surprise.

"Alright don't freak out! Yeah.. He'll be here cause he is the event organizer for today's event."    I said slowly.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! I am so happy!!!"   She screamed in excitement.

"Uhhh...! Oh god!"   I made my annoyance face and rolled my face.

"Come on. Lighten up!"  She said pouting.

"Quit it..He is your crush! Why should I lighten up?"    I asked sarcastically.

"Cause..Justin will be there too!"   She smirked.

"Yeah so?"  I rolled my eyes.

"Justin asked you outright?"   She said with a straight face.

"Yeah so?"   I asked with an annoyed expression.

"God..June! You don't remember Justin is Harris's cousin?!?!"   She yelled like a crazy person.

Oh my god.. How did I forget that?

"Oh god..! Now what?"  I asked sarcastically.

"You gotta talk Justin into introducing me to Harris!"  She winked at me.

"Hell no!"  I exclaimed.

"You know him..you go talk to him!"  I pointed at her.

"Noo! You know I can't do that...I get all shaky and nervous."  She said making a puppy face.

"What about Liam?"   I raised my eyebrows.

"What I about him?"   she asked casually.

I gave her a death glare.

"Uh..nono! We are just friends!"  She said sheepishly.

"Really? He seems nice!"   I smirked.

"Should I set you up with him?"   She left out a chuckle.

I threw a pillow at her.

"Oh, I am sorry! I forgot you got a thing for his bestie!"  She started laughing.

Suddenly my smile was replaced by a frown.

"I need a shower!"  I said trying to sound normal.

"So you are going?"  She asked looking hopeful.

"Do I have a choice?"  I asked her sarcastically.

"You do always but I don't give you any!"  she winked.

"Fine! Now leave me alone!"  I chuckled.

"Alright.. be ready at 9!"   She reminded me.

"Alright. I'll see you soon!"   I replied nonchalantly.

I grabbed my white loose tank top and jean and went to get ready.
