Ch. 11
Harry awoke to the sun being high in the sky out of the window in front of him. Had he really been asleep that long? He felt something warm and snuggly cuddle into his side and he felt his hand intertwined with something.
He yawned and grabbed his glasses before looking beside him to see, to his immense joy, his best friend.
He knows he considers her his best friend as much as Ron and Hermione are to him. They had gone through a lot together, and he knew he still felt his slight crush deep down. He also knew she still had somewhat of a crush on him, though he didn't know if she still had it after the last couple of months.
He smiled widely at her and snuggled back down into his pillow, breathing in her scent. Flowers, lavender, maybe vanilla?
He realized that he had been breathing deeply and he closed his eyes for a second before getting up and stretching. He scratched the back of his head, making his hair even messier.
Harry swung his legs over the side of the bed, still aware of his hand in Ginny's. He tried to separate his hand, but as he looked at their hands, he noticed a soft glow. As his palm stopped being in contact with hers, he felt a sting and held her hand again.
She stirred, opening her brown eyes and yawning.
"Harry?" She asked, looking up at him then down at their hands. He smiled and swung his legs back into the bed.
"It's okay. Don't let go of my hand, okay?" He asked. She nodded and he, rather awkwardly, put his arm around her shoulder; making sure his arm was in contact with her skin. She yawned and closed her eyes again. She cuddled into his side and he sighed, believing that life couldn't get any better than having his best friend with him.

Two weeks later
"Harry..." Ginny said with a warning tone in her voice. She had just caught him sneaking off to do a prank with the twins. She then smiled "What do you think your doing, pranking without me?"
He was unsure how she knew that he had left the Burrows kitchen since she had been upstairs at the time and she had just walked straight through the kitchen. Not pausing to look for him. He figured it was how they could sense each other, but he wasn't aware of it being that strong.
He grinned and waved her forward, whispering the plan in her ear then turning to the twins who were smiling knowingly.
"Ready?" He asked. They nodded and all the kids made their way to the garden and pretended to be lounging, after they had set everything up. Though Ginny put in a special touch.
He snuck a glance at Ginny, who was sitting with her back against the tree, her eyes searching the horizon for something Harry didn't know of.
He knew he felt differently about her than Hermione, and defiantly different than he thought about Ron, but he was unsure if he should act on it.
He was jarred from his thoughts when the twins snickered as Harrys dad came out of the kitchen with Lily. They, as always, say in the same place as always. On the swinging bench that overlooked the garden, and James, as always, sat on the left.
The twins pretended to be talking while Harry chatted with Ginny lowly about pretty much everything. As the sun set and the stars started to show, Lily got up and made for the house, calling for the kids to follow her.
James, on the other hand, was having trouble standing. He put his hand on the arm rest and a puff of orange smoke covered him. The smoke soon cleared and a bewildered James sat before them with ginger hair, and freckles.
Everyone burst out laughing at the look on his face. He tried to stand, but couldn't.
Remus and Sirius ran out, attracted to the laughter. They doubled over when they saw him. Remus patted his shoulder.
"A maurader, just got pranked. A day to remember" He said, ruffling James' ginger hair.
"Aren't you going to help me?" He asked, wiggling slightly. They shook their heads. By now, everyone was outside and laughing at James who was blushing slightly.
"Hey everyone! This is what Harry and Ginny's kid would look like!" Sirius said, laughing. Everyone laughed harder as Ginny and Harry blushed like crazy and avoided each other's eyes.
Ron however, was spluttering, which was even more hilarious.
"James Harold Weasley! Get your behind in the house before you catch a cold!" Lily scolded, causing everyone to laugh harder at the panicked James. He struggled to get off the seat, to no avail. He gave up and collapsed on the seat, laughing crazily.
As everything calmed down, James looked over at the twins. They shook their heads. "Nope. We were just going to make you stuck to the seat" They said shaking their heads. "It was Gin-Gin who did the whole Weasley look thing" They said, pointing to their little sister.
She smiled innocently at the bewildered James. He soon returned her smile "I like that one, Harry! She's a keeper" He said.
"No, I like the position of Chaser better" She retorted smoothly. He blinked then barked out a laugh. Soon everyone joined in, laughing hysterically.
Once they calmed down, Lily gathered Harry and James and made sure they had everything.
Harry glanced longingly at Ginny who was frowning slightly as she watched them leave. He sighed and turned as his mother twisted.
The feeling of Apparation subsided and Harry rushed into the house, collapsing on his bed and admiring his Quidditch themed room. His bedsheets had charmed brooms racing across it and snitches darting around on his pillows. His walls resembled a Quidditch pitch and had a bunch of small dots that represented the players darting about, scoring. Then, a player grew in size until you could see his face, barely. He had the snitch on his hand and he lifted it into the air before letting out a giant cheer and letting the snitch go.
He had a brown bed frame, a dark wood dresser, and his new Firebolt that he received from Sirius was in the corner.
He collapsed on his bed after bidding his parents goodnight and sighed, looking up at his ceiling that was enchanted to look like the sky. Though it was always blue, unlike at Hogwarts. His feet barely touched the green carpet that resembled grass, from where he was lounging across the bed.
His mind wandered to Ginny. He missed her dearly, his heart twitching in pain. He felt as if a piece of him was missing.
Harry looked over and a light went off in his mind. Firebolt.
He grinned and grabbed his broom and his dad's invisibility cloak, setting his pillows up so it looked like he was in bed. He walked out onto his little patio area and climbed on his broom, kicking off and making his way to the small figure of the Burrow in the night.
He breathed in the air, wishing that he didn't have to wear the Cloak so he could feel the wind through his hair.
The Burrow got closer and closer, bringing with it a pile of nerves. What if she didn't want him to come? What if he got caught? What if she was asleep and he woke her?
He took a deep breath and made his way to her window, which was facing his house. He took in several more breaths before knocking.
About five minutes passed and Harry was afraid that Ginny was asleep. But soon enough, the window cracked open and Ginny poked her head through.
"Hello?" She asked. He remembered he was wearing his cloak and pulled it off his head. She stumbled backward in surprise, almost falling. But he caught her wrist. He was halfway off his broom, his trainer resting on the handle while he leaned forward.
"Harry!" She exclaimed when she got over the shock. She leaned over the railing and grabbed his shoulders, hugging him fiercely. He felt himself blush but hugged her back without a moments hesitation. She pulled away, keeping her hands on his shoulders "Why are you here?" She asked. He gulps, stuttering for a moment before pulling himself together.
This is just Ginny. She's your friend.
"I missed you" He said sheepishly, looking anywhere but her eyes. She smiled and blushed.
"I missed you too" She said, rubbing her arm. "I keep having nightmares" Se whispers. Harry makes a quick decision and climbs over the window, putting his cloak on her bedside table and resting his Firebolt against the wall.
He wrapped her in his arms and felt tears collect on his shirt. He admired the way she held back her emotions, and even when she let them go, she held strong and didn't burst out.
"Stay" She said, commanding him to keep close to her. He took in a deep breath of her scent and glanced to the tiny dot in the distance that was his house.
"What about my parents?" He asked.
"Leave early tomorrow" She whispered, tears still streaming down her face. How does she expect him to say no? That's right, she knows he will say yes.
"I really need to learn how to say no to you" He sighed, kicking off his shoes. She climbed into bed, pulling the covers up and letting him slip in beside her. He sighed "Just for tonight" He said, more to himself than her.
He felt her fall asleep as he did. Two hearts, beating as one. One soul, dancing in two bodies.
