My vision was blurred until I completely felt my other senses restored back. I feel weak and exhausted. Where the holy hell am I?

"Rose? Rose? Rose!" My voice screams for her name while I use my leftover strength to free my self from the handcuff that tied my right hand with a pole standing in the center of the room I'm in. It's dark and I assume it must be midnight. The room has just one tiny light on and it barely makes anything visible.

"Save your strength!" A voice startled me to a mini heart attack. I turned around to see Wane lying at the corner tied with another iron pole. "They are not here."

"Are you okay?" I ask. He was hurt much more than I was.

"I'm, for now. But the weapon they used to me to give bruises was rusted. I may get infected if they don't let us go."

"It's gonna be alright. She's not going to kill. She's not been told to do that." I assure, more to myself than him.

"For you but I can't say anything about me."

"Someone will find us that we are missing. The guard saw three people leave. Rose won't be spared."

"I don't think that will do much of help since that clever redhead used to cover up her tracks."

"What do you mean?"

"I heard her talk after she brought us here. I was conscious by then. She received a call from someone and told him that I might have kidnapped you with intention of doing absolutely wrong."

Stunned, I say. "She's sick. We have to do something."

"There's nothing we could do. We are on the top floor of a building and there aren't any skyscrapers that may hear us. We are damned."

"So are we gonna sit and do nothing?" 

"Do you have a hairpin?"

"Maybe!" I run my free hand through my hair which happens to stumble down on a one. "A bobby pin. Yup."

"Will work. Throw here."

As he told, I swept one pin from my hair and threw it in his direction which unfortunately didn't reach him. It was still a hand away.

While he struggles to get hold of it, all I could think of the possibilities of what I would do when we get out of here but seeing Wane's unsuccessfully attempts, I'm not counting on it.

I only hope Klaus won't believe Rose that Wane took me. I have left a voicemail. He must know about her by now.

The door of the room we are trapped in opens and Rose's brother steps inside carrying something in his hands.

I get to see what it is after he illuminates the room with another brightening bulb hanging over us.

"Where is she? Where's your sister?" I scream at him.

"She is not my sister, duh." He gives me another shock and shockingly I'm still not used to it.

"But she—"

"Lying and convincing everyone is what my girl is best at." He says and brings the food package to us. "You saw us at the mall and if you had any idea who I actually was to her, you might have foiled the plan long back. And the best thing we could come of to throw off the suspicion was to introduce me as his brother. Ugh, stepbrother."

"You both are sick!" I growl. "You think you will get away with this by keeping us here. Everyone's gonna know who exactly took me."

"You'll be free to go as soon as the plan goes as we want. Until then, have a nice dinner both of you." He keeps the two plates on the ground, one for me and one for Wane. "I'll be outside watching over."

As he finishes, he walks out, shutting back the door.

"Did you get it?" I ask instantly.

"It's still away. Lucky for us he didn't spot the pin."

"I don't have another one. How long do they think are planning to keep us?"

"I thought you were going to tell me. What the hell all this is about? Why they want you away?"

"Rose is a spy, working for a rival of Klaus. I got to know and she discovered before I can reach anyone else. I'm sorry I dragged you too."

"Don't. If I haven't disobeyed sir's order, you might have a chance to tell everyone about that bitch."

"What do we do now?"

"Eat! Starving is the last thing we should possibly do."

I sigh. Passing time with almost hope was not easy. Wane had tried to retrieve the pin and I'm not close either. We ate, discuss things that were useless until both of us dozed off.

A few hours later I woke up with a voice calling my name constantly. I open my eyes to find Wane in front of me, free.

"Oh god, you're—"

He shushed my excitement. "Don't make a noise. Remember, the blonde boy is here. It's gonna take time."

I nod as he uses the same pin to open my handcuff.  As he said, it did a lot of time. The pin is on the verge of snapping into two. But he did it. He frees me as well.

"Stay behind me." He requested and I follow him. We move to the door which is locked, making us tense. Wane goes back and picks the same pin to unlock the door. I don't know how it is gonna work as that thing lost its appetite.

Before there was any success, we hear knob opening and in flash, Rose and his boyfriend appear in front of us.

"You think both of you are very smart." She mocks, moving closer to us.

"We are, kind of!" I stutter, moving backward.

"I can take you both." Wane tells them and lunges to attack them when Rose pulls the only thing that scares us.

"Not with a gun." She smirks. "Danny, take this bad boy to another room and handcuff him. Make sure he doesn't have anything else free himself again while I'll look at our blondie girl."

And in the next minute, I was back in the same way, tied.

"Glad you ate." Rose looks at the empty plate then strolls around the room.

I look at her sharply. "My family is gonna find me. Even Klaus, the one you declare your love for."

"Eww!" She makes a disgusting noise. "Who will ever make a mistake to love someone as heartless as Klaus Mikealson. I rather die than love him."

"Oh yes. You are Edward's pawn. That is what you have been doing all this time. Acting to love him, care for him."

"I had to. How unfortunate." She says, "Before you even came, I was already into his life, trying to impress in hope of getting the job so it would make me easier to access the data. You see Klaus is good at keeping all his company secrets. It's is protected and none of Edward's hackers can hack it. Courtesy of one girl, Bonnie Bennet. Smart women I see."

"But you did. You are the one who told Edward about the land auction at L.A."

"We have another smart woman here." She points at me. "Yes, I did. Edward was vexed after Mr. Castor pulled his name from the deal and joined Mikealson's. So he decided to cause every problem he could. I told him the tender code of your company and he bought the land at the auction."

"So I can assume that you're the one who sold us out to Edward we were heading to Manhattan and he tried to get us killed."

"I had no idea Edward was planning that. I should have guessed after I was told to warn you that morning."

"Why are you doing this for Edward? For money?" I spat.

"Yes, my parents had some debt. He cleared them off but as I told you my life is at risk."

"That's enough, Rose!" Danny interrupted, storming inside. "Don't talk or tell anything. Edward didn't approve any of this."

"Well, he isn't here. I call the shots now. You go and take care of him."

Seeing his girlfriend scowling at him, he shrugs and walks out.

I roll my eyes. "So you brought your boyfriend into this too."

"Looks like he told you about your relationship status." She raises her brows. "You have come a long way, Caroline."

"And I'm gonna make it a little farther. So you listen. Whatever lies you have told Klaus and others, they will eventually realize that you are a snake in their lives."

"Aww, sweetie." She pouts. "That is where you are wrong. I think I must clarify that if you are depending on the voicemail you've sent to Klaus then you're wrong. The day when Edward blocked your way and took you to talk, he had your phone, isn't it?"

How can I forget that son of a bitch? But I don't like where Rose is going with the matter. "So what?"

"So he put a tracker on it." She reveals and destroys the only chance I had to get out of her clutches. "And that tracker does not only trace your location, it also checks and records every message or calls you to make. Your voicemail was deleted long before Klaus got the chance to hear it."

"That is how he knew I went to the Atlantic Terminal."

"And every other place you went or the person you talked to." She smirks, making me angry.

But I'm giving her the satisfaction to get a reaction out of me. "Team Edward thinks they have won but I know your face will be revealed because Klaus knows one thing that there is someone in his company doing Edward's bidding. Once he finds out it's you, you and he wouldn't even have the chance to run."

She chuckles and kneels and brings her hand to my face to tuck the strands of my hair but I held her hand, stopping him from touching me.

She pursed her lips in amusement." "Now I understand why you are in the picture."

I glare. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"I mean is why Klaus is so smitten by you."

I scoff. "Well, you have one good news. It's none."

"You're wrong, again. Why do think Edward went through the trouble to tell you all about Klaus's undying love for you?"

"I have no idea what you are trying to say or prove."

She whispers. "You remind him of her."

"Her who?"

"Thea Collins! You remind Klaus of Thea."

So we are back to Thea this time. "What do you know about her?"

"She is the reason I'm here, Caroline."  She gets up. "I'm not Roseline Ross. I'm Charlotte Collins."

My mouth was hanging open. "You're her sister."

"Yes, I'm. There was a reason why I wanted you to find about her but you never did."

"I did actually." My anger now takes over and I shout. "She was an imposter just like you but before Klaus could punish her, there was a scandal about her and her carrier was already gone."

"You just read the news article but that is not the whole and true story. Let me tell you all about it." She paces around the room, anxiously. "Thea is my sister and I know she was not involved with any politician or his son whatsoever.

Two years back she was doing secretarial training during the daytime and worked as a waitress by night. That's how Edward met her while attending a party at her workplace. Fortunately for him, our parents had debt, huge debts and he offered Thea to work for him in exchange to solve our money problem and give a huge amount as a prize.
       My sister was beautiful and smart but she was tempted. After all, she has spent most of her time studying making money to meet her expenses.
       So she took the offer. Edward had a man in Klaus's company already but he was very low level. He wanted someone very close to him and Thea was the perfect girl. Edward's man hacked into Klaus's HRM and replaced the name of the selected girl with Thea's. Their resume was almost the same thus nobody suspected a bit.

She joined the company as his PR and started gaining his trust. She traded secrets to Edward. They were not much but enough to create obstacles for Mikealson Incorporation. During all this time, Thea and Klaus grew close and as per my sister, they fell in love.

Edward had no idea what was happening between them and my sister made a stupid decision. She was so blind in Klaus's love that she told him who really she was."

Rose's voice break, taking a pause. "She tried to cut loose with Edward but he had other plans. Plans to involve me. I had no freaking idea what was going on in my sister's lives. She barely met me or spoke to me."

"What did Klaus do after Thea told her the truth?" That is the part I don't understand. If they were in love, so where is she now?

"For someone who has faith in the power of love would think that Klaus would forgive Thea for confessing and give another chance, but we all are wrong. He did the exact opposite. There was no scandal, Caroline. Klaus created one. He couldn't stand the betrayal and instead of solving the issue, he tarnished my sister's name to the whole world and she lost everything. Even her name and identity."

"What?" I don't have words to express how much that shook me.

"He ruined her!" She wasn't crying but I felt how gut-wrenching her words were.  She was struggling to keep up with the further details. "We were devastated when Thea's name was scrolling in every news and social media.

One thing that kept me and my parents out of the attention was she never disclosed about us to anyone, except for Edward. Thea knew if Klaus had known about me, he might have extended the destruction to us.

After the scandal, Thea disappeared and left America. Edward had her married to one of his steps brothers in
Melbourne to keep her out of trouble."

"So you are doing this willingly to avenge Klaus for what he did to Thea."

"No!" She glanced at me. "I never came back to avenge but if that fulfills the purpose, I have no problem with it."

"If you were not interested in revenge, then why are you here? Why are you doing all of this?"

"I think I told you while Thea was spying, Edward reached me. He was having me followed for a while in case Thea backed down or get caught. I was oblivious the entire time as Edward purposely met me at a coffee shop, or park or even outside my school. I thought he was interested in me and I let him in. And just like he had speculated, Thea did betray him so I became his new tool.

He told me to get involved in this and I said no. After what had happened with my sister I didn't want to become the next victim. But the scandal ended my sister's life. I had no option. Edward offered to settle my sister somewhere else if I do his bidding.  That's how I came into Klaus's life.

But before that, I had to transform. I cut my ties with any Collins family and got a new name. The name of a dead girl, Roseline Ross. I took her family background, met her parents and Edward provided them money to aid the plan.

I started going to parties wherever Klaus went. Acted to be interested in him but he wasn't opening up. It took me an entire year to gain his trust and win the opportunity to become the new PR but he had me fooled the entire time. While I was sharing my bed with him, he stalking you and gave the job."

"And what makes you think that Klaus has feelings for me? I asked him, he denied. Moreover, you're the girl he is marrying?"

"That is what I don't understand. If he loves you, then why did he proposed to me?"

"Who told you Klaus loves me?"

"Edward, obviously."

"Maybe he played us both."

"Maybe or maybe not but the plan is going our way and you have to be away."
