Harry and Hermione walked together to an empty compartment on the train. They wanted to avoid Ron and Ginny for now until dinner.

"At least this is our last year. The letter said that 8th years had a seperate area   we'll get a roommate from another house. That's good." Hermione tried looking at the bright side of things.
Harry nodded putting his head on her shoulder.

A few minutes passed and a group of slytherins was at their compartment door. Astoria gave little pushes to Draco, "come on Dray."

Draco huffed, "can we please sit here. There's no other compartment available."

Hermione nodded not bothering to wake up Harry who had fallen asleep. "can you forgive us for everything that happened?"

Blaise raised an eyebrow, "we should be saying that Granger. Not you. We were awful. I hope we can all just be civil and maybe even friends, who knows?"

"I'd like that." Hermione smiled at them.

Astoria sat in front of her and pulled draco towards her. "where's Ron?"

Hermione looked down at her lap, "I don't know."

Astoria nodded understanding it was best to change the conversation. She cleared her throat, "congratulations on being head girl. Draco is actually head boy. Blaise and I are prefects."

Hermione looked over at Pansy who was awfully quiet. It must've been because she lost both Daphne and Theo. Her best friend and her boyfriend. "how were your vacations?"

"We actually had to spend it in the muggle world and live without magic. The ministry said it was a punishment but I think it was fun. We got those little magic boxes."

Draco chuckled and interrupted Astoria, "she means phones."

Astoria nodded, "yes and we watched things called movies and we went to so many beautiful places. I wish I had seen everything when I was younger. It's such a beautiful place."

Drsco chuckled and kissed her cheek. Hermione noticed they look genuinely happy, she hoped to find something like that.

Harry stirred and hugged her arm. She smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. It was soft.

"Granger." Pansy spoke.

"Please call me Hermione."

Pansy nodded, "Hermione, can you maybe teach me more about the muggle world?"

"us too, please." Blaise pleaded.

Hermione smiled and nodded, "of course."

"thank you."

Harry turned over and placed his head on Blaise's shoulder. Hermione put her hand over he mouth to not laugh, "sorry."

Blaise shook his head, "let him. Draco always does this. I'm used to it." Draco glared at him half heartedly.

Hermione began telling them about normal muggle things. She told them some of the history she knew and watched as the slytherins made faces of amazement and utter terror.

When they were close to Hogwarts, Harry stirred awake. "mione, you're taller."

Blaise chuckled, "why thank you Potter."

Harry jumped and landed on the floor. Hermione giggled and helped him up, "you kind off curled up to Blaise."

Harry blushed, "I'm sorry. I didn't know it was you. I actually didn't know any of you were here."

"we didn't want to wake you Potter." Pansy said giving him a small smile. Hermione could see it was hard for her to smile genuinely. "please excuse me."

Astoria shot a worried look at Draco. He squeezed her hand and stood up following his friend. Astoria wiped a tear away and tried to pretend she was fine. Hermione took her hand, "it's ok. You don't have to pretend."

Astoria nodded, "it's been a long day. Don't worry. At least I can look forward to not wearing a uniform this year."

The train stopped. They all grabbed their bags. Blaise and Harry carried Draco's and Pansy's luggage. Draco met up with them with his arm around Pansy. Astoria linked her arm with Hermione's and pulled her away from Harry," are you two, you know?"

Hermione shook her head, "no, why?"

Astoria shook her head, "no reason."

They got to the great hall and sat down on their respective tables. Harry grabbed Hermione's hand under the table when he saw Ron and Ginny. "it's going to be ok Harry."

Seamus and Dean sat in front of them before Ron and Ginny could. "excited about this year?"

Harry shrugged, "I hope no one tries to kill me."

Dean looked over to where ginny had sat, "good luck with that. She doesn't seem happy."

Seamus elbowed Dean, "he meant teachers. Don't worry Harry, you'll be fine. Gin will forget about anything that happened."

Harry looked over at Hermione who tried giving his hand a comforting squeeze. Harry nodded, "yeah. Everything will be fine."

From across the great hall Astoria squeaked. "look! They're holding hands!"

Draco rolled his eyes, "how can you see that far?"

Astoria kissed his cheek, "shut up. When you likef each of them you could see across Hogwarts. Now suddenly you can't."

Draco kissed her, "that's because you have all of my attention."

Blaise groaned, "get a room."

"you miss Draco's kisses Blaisy?" Pansy asked.

Blaise glared at her, "no. I certainly do not. He's the worst kisser." Astoria laughed.

"I'm offended." Draco placed a hand over his heart.

"We have to get them together." Astoria said.

Pansy gave her a quizzical look, "but aren't you dating Draco?"

Astoria shook her head, "I meant Harry and Hermione. I mean look at them, they're meant for each other!"

Suddenly papers appeared in front of them. Astoria groaned, "I got weaslette."

"I got Granger," Pansy blew a kiss at her friend.

Blaise showed then his paper, "Weasle."

Draco did the same thing, "im going to room with my celebrity crush. Holy shit." Astoria frowned. "Don't fret my love. You have my heart." Draco planted a soft kiss on her forehead.

"So," Blaise leaned in, "what's the plan?"
