When we first met our hearts were young

The days were long and filled with sun

The nights were warm, the air was clean

And you were the best thing that I'd ever seen

Something about you always makes me grin

Just the sight of you makes me want to start all over again

Something about you, you're a special friend

And the sun can't set till I see you again

Every now and then

I get you on my mind

The clock unwinds and I leave the world behind

Every now and then

You visit in my dreams

And whisper songs of yesterday in every scene

When we first met we had just begun

The love we shared was real and fun

The nights were cold, the times were lean

Just the thought of you makes me want to start all over again

Something about you, I feel it in the wind
