"Medicine brought me back to life"

Jesse Bloom is the younger brother of Dr Lauren Bloom he was a professional Football player but after injuring himself during professional sports he thinks his life is over. That was until during a train accident he saves the life of a young girl which leads him to a life in Medicine just like his sister but what happens when he moves to New Amsterdam to be closer to his sister but what happens when they need a surgeon on surgery so Jesse offered to help but that's when he got spotted by the medical director Max Goodwin who offers him a place in the cardio phorasics team.

Where he is put on the team of Dr Reynolds where he meets a quiet Resident called Ed who seems to despise him for some reason.
