ON a saturday afternoon, sebin was currently at a small café sandwiched between her journey from the university to her house. she had decided to get some school work done. but everyone knew that she was lying. she would just end up staring at couples through the window of the quaint shop - after all, that was her routine every time she came here.

she would enter the shop, the bell on the door would jingle and the guy at the counter would welcome her in. then, she would head straight to the seats next to the big window. sometimes, it rained. sometimes, dogs would walk pass the window brightening up her day but most of the time.. couples would walk by.

by now, sebin had already taken out all her materials for university. it was her last year of uni and she honestly could not afford to waste anymore time finding the one. well, that's was she would tell herself but the pit in the bottom of her stomach said otherwise - scientifically, hormones. who was she kidding.. no one would want her anyways.

sighing to herself, she got up, grabbing her wallet along with her.

"um, hello, i would like an iced caramel macchiato, please" she said, softly. the guy at the counter smiled warmly at her as he ringed in her order. 'omg is this guy an angel or what?' sebin thought as her cheeks slightly reddened at the guy's simple action. her breath hitched at the sight of him and failed to notice the guy calling out to her.

she had never seen him before? maybe he was a new worker? or just worked as the barista? and not a server or cashier.

"miss? would that be all?" he was looking at her questionably as she was literally standing there like a statue, starstruck by his his smile. she was knocked out of her trance and decided to order a strawberry tiramisu cake just because she wanted to stare at him a little longer. though, she didn't want to admit it.

"ah, okay. please wait at your table and we'll serve it to you!" he said, cheerily and once again shot her the same smile as he handed her the receipt. she nodded her head to say thank you and caught a glimpse of his nametag. 'sangyeon'.

as she walked back to her seat, she took in deep breaths to calm her racing heart. why was she feeling this way? 'get a grip of yourself, sebin!'

but a couple walking by had broken her train of thoughts. the smile she had from thinking about the boy had immediately faltered as she noticed her crush of three years since her freshman year in university, strolling with a girl, a big grin evident on his face. he side hugged the girl before grabbing her hand and putting it into his hoodie pockets.

she was about to look down when the bell on the door jingled once again, catching her attention. her eyes were about to pop out of the sockets when the same couple walked in to the café. hastily, she hid her face in her hands and pretended to look out the window. all hell broke loose when they sat next to her table.

'shit shit shit what do i do, i don't want them to recognize me' she was mentally cursing them in her head because all she wanted was to do her assignments but now all she thought of was to leave the place.

she tried to calm herself down by discreetly fanning her face but then her crush started to pinch the girl's cheeks and made a kissy face. sebin was horrified. if she stayed there any longer she would burst out crying or even worse, puke out what she ate for breakfast.

she started to pack up her books into her tote bag and kept her laptop carefully. once she was done, she immediately zoomed out of the café. i mean, she just saw her crush doing pda with his girlfriend right in her face.

unknown to her, sangyeon was almost done with her drink and was about to serve her the dessert on the tray but was shocked when she ran out without her drink she had already payed for. his eyebrows furrowed and he couldn't help but to worry for her.
