[sebin];

INHALING the delicious scent of kimchi jjigae in the food container, a smile spread widely across sebin's face as she let out a contented sigh.

she was currently making her way to the café to visit sangyeon at work like she usually does but this time, she had put in her time and effort into making his favorite homemade dish - kimchi jjigae. she had to pay him back in some way for all those cute notes and the free occasional cake slices.

with a spring in her step, she could only think of sangyeon's reaction when she gave it to him. would he be happy? surprised? ahh, i don't know he's so cute. she unknowingly squealed while remembering her new found crush. she even dressed extra nice that day, hoping to charm him at least.

pushing the front door of bloom café, the bell jingled a familiar tune before she was greeted by the same boy the last week she came by.

her head tilted as she noticed that hyunjae had been taking over most of sangyeon's shifts nowadays. she didn't dwell too much on it and just decided to sit down at the empty table next to the, yup, the window.

she scrolled through her phone whilst waiting for her lover boy to come. she didn't think to order anything first because she wanted to talk with sangyeon to give him the cooked food. sebin was sure it was just like last time, maybe he's just talking to his manager again? or he's on break? but if he's on break i'm sure he would've seen me come in?

sebin began to feel confused. she had already been waiting for 45 minutes and there was no sign of the said boy. what was weirder was she caught hyunjae looking at her worriedly a number of times.

she soon grew uncomfortable to his gaze and decided to stride over to the counter.

"um, hey hyunjae! where's sangyeon?" her hands were gathered together on the countertop as she anticipated his answer, her lips pursed, almost as if she sensed that something wasn't quite right.

hyunjae looked a bit appalled at her question and was hesitant to answer her, "you, uh, he didn't tell you?" sebin immediately frowned upon hearing his response, "what do you mean he didn't tell me? was i suppose to know something?"

hyunjae could only sigh and shooed her away before saying something along the lines of, 'i'll tell you on my break later, go sit down and i'll get you your usual,'

sebin pouted but obliged anyways. she didn't wait too long before the brown-haired boy sat in front of her, placing down a caramel macchiato with a slice of red velvet. discreetly, sebin gazed around the tray to see if there was any sort of note from sangyeon but to her dismay, there were none.

"i'll just get straight to the point but don't be too upset at what i say, okay?" she simply nodded in response, urging him to continue. "he.. kinda got fired from his job and he was moved to another branch a few hours away from here.."

"he- he what?" sebin's jaw hung agape at the sudden news she just came across with. he hadn't even bother to inform her? the probable man of her dreams who was so close to her was now hours away. she knew with her busy schedule and the upcoming examinations for university refrained her from visiting him. heck, she didn't even know where he was currently.

she quickly fished out her phone as she finally realised she has his kakaotalk. her heart dropped when there were no traces of their chats. what? what's happening? no matter how many times she reloaded the screen, the chat simply didn't appear.

she had memorised his user id and searched for it but he must have changed his username since no search results popped up. the girl could only hold her head in her hands. she didn't know what to say or do. i mean, why did he just disappear?

the sun had settled and night approached quickly. sebin was blankly looking out the window, stunned by the events of that day. she was unaware of the tears streaming down her cheeks as her heart ached, longing for him.

the warm tears rolled off her chin and onto her lap, making her look down into her lap and wipe off the droplets of tears.

she shoved everything into her tote bag and stood up abruptly, hastily making her way out the door of the cafe.

the red velvet cake remained untouched along with her drink that turned cold after hours of sitting on the table.
