Hey Aamir,

It has been sometime since we last chatted. And you left for university so fast that we didn't have time to say a proper goodbye to each other. How are you, Aamir? How's university going on? How are your new friends? So many questions. lol. And knowing you, I'll have no answers. You don't like to write letters. Are bored with them. You'd rather chat for long hours.. I can feel you chuckling while reading these lines, Aamir. You were more for the simpler pleasures of life, of time..


Never had the courage to say it before. It's time you know the truth. I miss you, Aamir. Have been thinking about you, about us, since you left. The time we spent together while studying, helping each other out during classes, tuitions. You helped me with Maths and I helped you with English Literature. It was real fun. Reading Shakespeare, Jane Austen and solving the complex algorithms side by side. We used to end up chatting in the middle of an equation. With diverse topics ranging from movies to astronomy.  

Time passed..  We finished our senior [12th] exams. Got the results . You were at the school gate waiting for me. The smile, the brightness that I saw in your eyes told me that your papers had turned out very well, Aamir. With 89%, I always knew that you could do it. You had your whole career planned. Down to the university courses. 

It was time to leave. You asked me to walk down to your home. So that we could spend time together. That 40-minute walk was the best time of my life, Aamir. You were on a cycle and I had walked along side. People were staring, pointing at us, while we giggled, laughed like crazy. Had let ourselves free.  I can still feel your gentle touch as you tried to brush the stray hairs from my face. Gives me goosebumps till today, Aamir. 


 Never met someone like you.. In all these years. Even though I've moved on. People say that first love is tender and precious. They forgot to mention that it is unforgettable too.
