"I, oh I, am falling for you"

Y/N's POV:

Me and Louis walk outside to the court yard, there's a group of other kids standing there. A red head and Marlon seem to be arguing.

"What's going on?" I ask. "That group went out hunting, it seems they didn't come back with much... Marlon has been pushing the safe zone closer and closer" Louis says. "Safe zone?" I ask. "Yea, it's a pretty small space where other people don't come near, it's... safe" Louis says.

"Hey, it's a little heated out here! Wanna come with me? I need a partner for this song" Louis says. I look at the arguing for a second, then back at Louis.

"It wouldn't hurt.." I say. "Great! Follow me" Louis smiles.

Louis leads me into the big admin building and we turn right, down a hallway and into a room with a piano.

He sits down at the piano and pats the spot beside him, looking at me. I smile lightly and go over, sitting beside him.

"Okay, listen to this" Louis places his fingers onto the keys and plays a quick 5 second melody. "Sounds, nice?" I say, unsure because I've never even played a piano.

(If you do play piano, just forget everything you've learned)

"Why do you say it as a question?" Louis asks. "Well, I've never played a piano before" I laugh softly. "That's fine, I can be your teacher" Louis smiles.

"Place your finger on the G key" Louis says. "Which is?" I ask. "The one beside the F key and the A key" Louis says, clearly joking around. "Come on Louis" I laugh.

(He can come on something else- I'm sorry)

"Give me your hand" Louis says, holding his hand out. "Why?" I ask. "I'm not doing anything weird" Louis says. I put my hand in his and he begins to show me where all the keys are.

He gets me to press every key and asks if I notice the different sounds of each key. "Okay, try and repeat me" He says. He slowly plays a soft sound then looks at me. I easily repeat the same sound he played.

We do this so many times we lose track of time.

"You're good at this, you might even be better than me in the future" Louis says. "Oh please, I can't even play a full song yet" I laugh. "Yet, but I see a lot of potential in you" Louis smiles.

The sun has already begun to set, the sky is filling with beautiful colours and the clouds turn pink.

"I have some questions for you, but if you don't wanna answer them, it's fine" Louis says. "Like what?" I ask.

"Well... were you with anyone before this? I mean, travelling with anyone?" Louis asks.

"Well, I did have this pretty big group of people, but I mainly stuck with my best friend Avery" I say. "Why weren't they with you?" Louis asks.

"We-... were attacked, a lot of us died or went missing, even more of us were turned into ruthless soldiers..." I say. "What about Avery?" Louis asks.

I look down at the piano. I keep thinking of everything that happened that day, the only thing I have of Avery is the pistol. It was his, and he gave it to me before he died, or went missing, or was kidnaped.

"I don't know, I just assumed he died during the attack but... maybe he's still out there" I say. "I'm sorry..." Louis says. "It's fine! I mean, everyone at this school seems fine, maybe at some point I'll find Avery again" I say.

"We're you turned into a solider?" Louis asks. I begin to remember how the people there treated me, all the abuse and fighting.

"I was, but I escaped" I say. I remember Minnie and Sophie... they said not to mention their names to anyone here, although I've only mentioned their names to Marlon.

"Hey Louis-" we both turn our heads to the door. It's Clementine.

"Hi Clem, what's up?" Louis asks. "The food is ready, you two should come out to eat" Clementine says. Clem turns around and walks out.

"Hungry?" Louis smiles. "Of course" I say. We both get up and walk side by side out the door.

I see groups of people sitting at different tables. "Don't worry, I'll grab you something, just sit with Marlon, Clem, and Vi" Louis says.

I nod and go over to the table and sit down. "Hey Y/N, Louis didn't bug you did he?" Marlon asks. "Not at all, I was enjoying the time actually" I say. "You weren't annoyed by him? Y/N you're from a different world" Violet says.

I begin to softly laugh and roll my eyes. "For the lady" Louis sets down a bowl in front of me with food. "Thank you" I say. "You're welcome" Louis smiles.

"I see you two are getting along" Marlon says. "She's easy to talk to! And she doesn't get annoyed by me, it's great" Louis smiles. I laugh at what Louis says and begin to eat.

"Did you meet everyone yet?" Clementine asks. "Not everyone, I hope I will soon though" I say. "How about I take you around tomorrow? To introduce you to everyone" Clementine suggests. "I'd like that" I smile.

"Or I could introduce her to everyone" Louis jumps in. "I think I'm fine with Clementine" I smile.

Everyone begins to eat their food. Everyone seems so happy here, I think I'll like this place a lot.
