     Jia Li started losing her mind when her best friend Tara Carpenter got attacked that fateful night inside her home... but the truth was, Jia Li started losing her mind long before that.

     Jia Li was supposed to be at Tara's house the night Tara got stabbed and nearly bled out on her mother's wooden floors, but Jia Li was too busy tripping on acid... after three months of being sober.  Yeah, Jia Li isn't exactly the most reliable narrator.

     Jia Li started losing her mind when her sort of ex-best friend Tara Carpenter got attacked that fateful night inside her home... but the truth was, Woodsboro was against Jia Li ever since she started getting high to escape her past.  It was hard to stay sane when everyone around you knew how much of a screw-up you were, and would constantly remind you of the very memories you were trying to escape.  So the truth is, Jia Li started losing her mind long before Tara Carpenter was attacked... but Ghostface's return would be her breaking point.

     The ache in her bones would drive her on an insane run ― maybe she couldn't stop Tara from getting attacked, but she would surely make sure she made it out alive.  Even if it meant morphing into the town pariah.  Even if it meant putting her life on the line.  But for Tara?  She owed her one...
