Nerys walked through the exit of Dublin Airport, she was looking around for Elijah, and when she finally found him she hurried to him, her baby blue suitcase following behind her.

"You alright?" Elijah asked as he took her suitcase from her and put it in his car boot.

They got into his car and drove until they reached his family home, he got out of the car, and she stalled.

"What's wrong?" He questioned softly as she stayed in the car "I don't know If I should go in Eli," She admitted, biting her thumb nail.

"Don't be stupid," He shook his head firmly. "They don't know me." She returned his determined tone. "They'll get to know you, and they'll love you." He assured her softly

"I haven't got them gifts." She tried to find a reason why she couldn't go in. "I doubt they've got you any, stop stressing." He said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You're taking me shopping tomorrow then." She told him, he sighed but nodded "Fine."

"Mam, Dad, this is Nerys, Nerys, this is my parents." Elijah introduced them all. "Hiya." She gave them a polite wave.

"Hi sweetheart." Alison, Elijah's mother welcomed her.

"You're from The Valley's are you?" Elijah's father questioned her, recognising her accent. "I am yeah." She nodded.

"We spent some time there before Elijah was born" He told her, trying to find some common ground to ease the awkward tension in the air. "Ah, where to?" Nerys asked, she always enjoyed speaking about Wales again, she missed the country, and her hometown, but she could never have stayed.

"There was this hotel in Rhondda, I forget what it was called, but it was lovely, nice and that." Bono replied.

"I think I know which once you mean." Nerys nodded with a polite smile. "I was my friend's date to prom there." She added.

"Ah, they had a nice dance floor there." Bono noted "Yeah." She nodded.

"Do you want some chocolate cake love? we've got loads" Alison offered Nerys, she gave a polite smile and nodded as she said "Yes please."

"I want some too." Elijah interrupted raising a hand like he was a child, it caused Nerys to chuckle

"Did someone say cake?" John asked from the top of the stairs.

The next ten days in the Hewson Family home were spent with stolen glances and hidden kisses. After Nerys arrived home, she decided she needed to end things.

She wasn't ready for a relationship, she had her own issues to work through, and she couldn't hurt Elijah.
