Chapter Four
Haknyeon blinks awake. The bittersweetness is still around, lingering like an unwanted dog. The first thing that he sees is a bunch of boxes stacked up around him. They line the room he is in, he is assuming from what he can see.
Then the sense of feeling starts to return to him.
He glances down, finding thick silver duct tape wrapped around him and restraining him to a wooden chair. Tape locks his wrists to the arms of the furniture.
Haknyeon notices how dark it is and also that his kidnappers have (for now) left his mouth free. He could scream for help if he wanted to.
It's worth a shot. "HELP ME!!"
He then tests the restraints with sharp, focused jerks of his body. He finds he can barely move much, however, but he also discovers that the adhesive pulls painfully at his skin, ripping off hair. He's sure of it.
Haknyeon's mind flashes back to the car ride. He'd seen the driver's eyes, but that was all. A scary-looking skull mask had blocked out the rest of his face. The bottom half. And he had no visual but the glove for the second guy.
So all he knew now was that two strange men had abducted him in a company car and taken him here, to this warehouse building in God knows where.
Haknyeon squints, trying to see farther into the shadows. "Is anyone here?"
There's nothing.
No reply.
Just silence.
