rip it up
When I was younger, I would write down what was making me upset on a piece of paper and rip it up. It helped me deal with the anger and made me feel better.
In 4th grade, I got mad at my math teacher.
So, I did the only thing I could think of doing.
I wrote her name on a slip of paper.
She saw and took the piece of paper from me and made me talk to her outside the classroom.
Told me I can't do that anymore.
So that day, I kind of lost one of my only ways to deal with my emotions.
And I haven't done that since.
