Here's an actual conversation

Kid who I'll call Andrew: *looks at me* Are you straight or lesbian?

Me, thinking: Wait, are you talking to me? Why do you suspect this of me? *mentally gasps* HAVE YOU LOOKED IN MY JOURNAL??? Besides, I'm not lesbian. Why do you care?

actually me: *sits in silence*

Andrew: you can be pan ya know, that's when you don't care about all that stuff

Everyone else: *chats about asexuality but calling it pan*

Me: Uh....pan is when you believe there's more genders than male and female and you like all of them. You're talking about asexuality.

How I wish I responded to this situation:

Andrew: Are you straight or lesbian?

Me: ...

Me: wow, straight to the point, I see. *continues eating school nachos*
