The Halabja chemical attack in Kurdish: Kêmyabarana Helebce کيمیابارانی ھەڵەبجە, also known as the Halabja Massacre or Bloody Friday, was a massacre against the Kurdish  people that took place on March 16, 1988, during the closing days of the Iran–Iraq War in the Kurdish city of Halabja in Iraq. The attack was part of the Al-Anfal Campaign in northern Iraq, as well as part of the Iraqi attempt to repel the Iranian Operation Zafar 7. It took place 48 hours after the fall of the town to the Iranian Army. A United Nations (UN) medical investigation concluded that mustard gas was used in the attack, along with unidentified nerve agents. That's how, us Kurds suffer all of our lives.
Thousands of people who lived peacefully and who didn't have an idea what was gonna happen to them that day. We have relatives there. When they realized this thing was happening, their mother put wet towels on there mouth so it cannot effect them, or kill them. But it did, they can't have children now, even if they do, the pregnancy won't be successful, the woman (who's our relative) had like 3 miscarriages. We accepted everything from them, they killed so much of us, and until now, they still hate us, the killing has stopped but they still hate us, they still say that Kurdistan is part of Iraq, they still can't admit that Kurdistan is an independent region. They buried thousands of us alive, for no reason. Their only reason was, "just because there Kurds," they hated us because we weren't part of Iraq and we weren't Arab. We were independent in every way. When they attacked Halabja, the people had no idea what was happening until they inhaled the chemicals and blood came out of there noses and foam out of there mouths.
