Kyra's pov

'Stupid Garroth! Leaving me to walk home alone! Well........ he may have baseball practice....., but I'm still mad. He was supposed to get me a cupcake' I thought as I started walking home alone.

"Kyra! Wait up!" A voice behind me yelled. I whipped my head around to see, Dante running to me. I blushed and waited for him.

"I saw you were walking home alone and thought I would walk with you." He said
"I'd love that!" I smiled. He reached for my hand, I noticed and grabbed his hand"Dude. If you want to hold my hand, just grab it" I said

He blushed"Okay." I smiled and we started walking.  We walked in a awkward silence. Anytime one of us tries to talk, we couldn't find any words. My tail swayed behind me as I mustered up the courage to talk to him.

"Hey Dante?" I asked. He looked at me"Yes Kyra?" He responded. I look at the ground"Do you like me?" I asked. He blushed a deep red"I-I um.. already have a.... girl.. friend..."

I looked at him, with tears in my eyes"Sorry...., I didn't know you had a girlfriend.... I'll just go.." I ran off without looking back. All I could hear was him calling my name"KYRA!! KYRA WAIT!!" I didn't pay any attention to him, I just kept on running.

I ran home and swung the door open. Only to see Zane and Vlyad staring at me "What? Never seen a girl upset before?" I bluntly asked. They shook their heads"No. It's just you never seem to come home upset" Vlyad tried to explain. Zane shook his head again"What he means is, we want to know what's wrong. You are alway happy and weird so this is new for you."

"O-oh... I didn't realize that..," I looked at them with tears falling down my face."I'm sorry... I'll just go upstairs.." "Kyra, that's not what we meant. We need to know what's wrong, so we can tell Garroth who to kill" Vlyad laughed a bit at the end. I laughed too

"Fine. But promise you won't tell mom or dad!" I exclaim. "We promise" Zane said. I sat down on the couch next to them"I was walking home alone, and Dante came running up to me. He asked to walk me home. Of course I said yes b-" I was cut off by Vlyad 'Oooing' "Shut up, Vlyad" I laughed"Anyway, we held hands and started walking. It got pretty awkward so I tried talking. I... umm.." I choke up thing of it. I touched my fluffy blue tail"I asked him if he.., um... liked me..," I started crying again. Zanes eye widened

"He broke your heart.." He said, standing up. Vlyad looked at him"What are you going to do?" Zane glared at Vlyad"Going to make him wish he didn't break her heart."

"Zane, you don't have to do that..." I said, trying not to laugh'My little brothers want to protect me and my heart... aw..' I thought. "I'll go over a plan when Garroth comes back." Zane sighed and sat back down.

"I'm going to my room. Be back soon!" I waved at my brothers and walked upstairs. I opened my door and walked into my room. I looked over at a raiser over on my desk. It had been months since I cut because I promised Vlyad after he saw me. I reached for it but then pulled my hand back 'No! I promised Vlyad I wouldn't cut!' I shouted in my head

'Why not? Your crush rejected you and is in a relationship with someone else. You can't always keep promises~' A voice said in my head. I shook my head'But I promised him! He was so scared that I would die!' 'Come on~ It will only hurt for a little~ Vlyad doesn't have to know' It said again. I looked at the raiser.

'Sorry, baby brother' I grabbed the raiser and put it on my skin. I cut. Then I cut again. It felt weird doing this again. I was about to cut again when a noise came from my window. I grabbed some bandages, from the last time I was cutting, and put them on. I ran to my window and opened it.

I saw Dante standing in the yard"HEY KYRA!" He shouted. I sighed and closed my window, not wanting to talk to that jerk. I grabbed my diary and my lucky pen. I started writing

'Dear, Diary

I can't believe I held hand with Dante! He lead me to think he liked me, only to find out he has a girlfriend! So I ditched him and came home. I broke my promise to Vlyad, I cut again. It felt like my troubles went away. Then Dante throw a pebble at my window to get my attention. As soon as I noticed it was him, I closed my window. I've locked my door and closed my curtains. So no one can see me cut. He would never' A tear fell off my cheeks 'A girl like me...

I looked at what I wrote and closed the book. I grabbed the raiser again and brought it to my skin. I cut and cut.

After a couple more times, I stopped.
I looked at the time '5:30 p.m.' I put the raiser down and unlocked my door. I ran into the bathroom and cleaned where I cut. I flinch as the cold water touch it. I put clean bandages on and then threw an over sized sweatshirt on.

I walked out and sighed'They will probably notice' I walked downstairs to see mom and dad, smiling and making dinner. "Mom! Dad! I'm going for a walk!" I called out. "Okay honey! Have fun!" Mom called. I opened the door and walked out. I closed the door and walked towards the park.

A cool breeze flew by and made my ears perk up. I continued walking though. I got to the park and walked around. I saw two girl my age, one was a werewolf, one wasn't, I watched what they were doing. The no werewolf was hanging upside down from a tree and the werewolf was laughing about something.

I chose to ignore them and walked off. I sat on a bench and stared into space. I came back when I heard someone say me name"Kyra? Is it okay if I sit here?" The voice asked. I let my eyes adjust to see Dante, who looked pretty upset, sitting next to me. "Yeah I guess...." I whispered.

"She broke up with me" He said. "What?" I looked at him. "My girlfriend broke up with me because she found someone better.." He sighed, looking at his feet. "O-oh.. I'm sorry that happened" I said, feeling happy that he's not with someone but sad because he seems really hurt. He looked me in my eyes"Don't be. I dated her because I thought the girl I liked was way too good for me..." "W-who ever she is she is a lucky girl.." my voice cracking. "Now she keeps saying she's a really lucky girl." He smirked. I realize what he just said'He liked me back but was too afraid to say so' I hugged him"Dante, is it me?" He nodded his head and hugged back"Of course! I felt so bad telling you I had a girlfriend earlier! I liked you and I hurt you!" We pulled way from our hug. He held onto my wrist, making me flinch. He looked at me weirdly"What's wrong?" "N-nothing!" I shouted as I tried to remove his hands from my wrists. He moved my sweatshirt sleeve up high so he could see my arms.

He saw the bloody bandages and gasped"When did this happen?!" "W-when I got home.... I could bear thinking of you with another girl..." I said, voice cracked. He looked at me"I'm taking you home." I nodded my head and he picked me up.

"This is not what I meant!" I giggled. He laughed"I know but I get to keep you close to me! And touch your fluffy ears" He whispered the last part. I giggled and lightly punched him. "I heard that!" He rolled his eyes"I love your ears!" He started walking towards my house

Once we got there, mom had let him and I right inside. "I came to drop her off, Mrs. Ro'Meave" He faked dropping me, which made me hold onto him tighter. Mom and him laughed. I jumped out of Dantes arms and looked at him"Thank you, Dante! See you at school tomorrow!" I kissed him on the cheek and walked into the kitchen.

Dante left and I set the table. When I went to get the guys, all I heard from outside was"DANTE YOURE DEAD!!" I giggled and walked out. I saw Garroth chasing Dante with a baseball bat. I waved Dante over and he ran my direction. He hid behind me. Garroth came running up to me"Move away from him, Kyra. He broke your heart" Garroth growled. I moved to Dante's left side and kissed him on the cheek again"You don't have to be protective of me all the time Garroth. I'll be fine as long as Dante doesn't date anyone else."

Garroth looked at me confused. I sighed"His girlfriend broke up with him" "I never really had feelings for her, I've always had them for Kyra but was too scared to ask her out" Dante confessed. Garroth nodded his head and went inside.

Dante kissed me full on lips. I kissed back. We stood in the kiss for what seemed like forever. We pulled away and he smirked"See you at school, Kyra~" He winked and walked away. I stood there dumbfounded.

'My first kiss! It was amazing!!' I screamed in my head. I walked inside and ran to my room. I opened my door to see a crying Vlyad, looking at the bloodstained raiser.

"You promised not too" He cried. I hugged him"I'm sorry! I just couldn't help it!" "But you broke your promise, how do I know this hasn't been going on for months?" He questioned. I sighed"I won't show you it but my diary would be full of my saying I cut, if I had been for months."

He smiled"If you do it again please tell me straight away.." I nodded my head"Of course" I threw the raiser away and walked to the door."Come one, Vlyad" I smiled and opened my door.
