Chapter 17
Craig stopped petting my hair for a minute. For a second it seemed like the world stopped.
He pulled me closer to him, if that was even possible.
"Tweek."
"Y-Yes?" I ask nervously. (He's probably mad at you. He's going to tell you he wishes you never said a word.)
"You don't need to apologize."
"W-What?" Was all I could (pathetically) come up with.
"You don't need to apologize," Craig repeats himself. He pats my hair lightly.
"You shouldn't apologize. I just wish you told me sooner that way I could help (kick his fucking ass.)"
"I'm s-sorry-"
"You don't need to apologize," Craig restates firmly, ceasing the patting.
"Look, Tweek, if anyone should be apologizing it should be me," Craig states, followed by a sigh as he starts patting my hair again, "I should have never let this happen in the first place."
I push my hands onto his chest and push us a part a little bit. I look (weakly) up at him.
"W-why?" I ask, staring at his deep ocean blue eyes again, "Why should y-you apologize?"
Craig stares at me. I stare at him. We both remained silent. I awaited his answer and he seemed to be thinking up an answer (or at least preparing to answer).
"Tweek?" Craig asked in a slightly hesitant tone.
"Yes, C-Craig?" I ask.
"Because Tweek. I love you. I don't want you to get hurt and I want to protect you," Craig said, his eyes never looking away from mine.
I opened my mouth but closed it, I couldn't think of anything to say.
"Tweek, would you be my boyfriend?" Craig asked.
I smiled and felt a tear fall down my face.
"Y-Yes. I love you too, C-Craig."
Craig smiled at me. Then, he leaned forward and cupped the side of my face pulling me closer.
I reached up and placed my hand over his as our lips connected, softly.
I placed my other hand on his shoulder and I felt his other hand on my waist.
We pulled away and Craig smiled again.
"Come on, Tweek. We're going to leave this place. Fuck all of them," Craig said while smirking.
I smiled happily, "R-Really?"
"We'll leave them all behind. Start over new."
I smiled and grabbed Craig's hand.
"Let's go."
And from then on, we didn't need anyone else. Just us. We were fine by ourselves.
And always will be.
