I yawed waking up earlier than usual. I kissed Emily's shoulder and got out as I wrapped the comforter around her. "Rogers." I called as he came out of his room. "Sir?" He asked as he walked towards me. "Guard Emily." I replied going down the stairs and contemplated on what to cook for breakfast. I decided on waffles and bacon. "Dad?" Arthur asked yawning. "Hey, Art. Can you prepare the plates? We're going to be eating soon." I stated finishing the food. "You're going on those dates you promised mom, aren't you?" Art asked smirking. "Just get the plates please." I replied feeling my cheeks heat up. "Alright, just tell me what happens then." He said getting the plates.
"Chris?" Emily called walking in the kitchen. "Morning, babe." I said kissing her as she sat beside Arthur. "Mom, can I bring friends over?" Art asked as I prepared the meal. "Gender?" Emily asked leaning on her right arm. "Males." Art replied as I put the food on the table. "How many all?" I asked as Rogers and Murdock carried Kieren and Naomi in the dinning area. "We're five." He replied taking a bite of his waffle. "Names." Emily asked slicing Naomi's waffles as I sliced Kieren's. "Freddie, Lucas, Egerton, and Henry." He replied grinning. "Ages?" I asked as Kieren smiled at me. "We're all thirteen." He replied smiling. "You better not do anything funny young man, or I'm not going to give you your allowance for a week." Emily threatened as I got Kieren a piece of bacon. "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." Arthur replied smirking. "Arthur, I'm not joking." Emily said smiling. "We'll see about that." He said smiling. "Alright, enough. We're here to eat. Kier, Mimi, you'll be staying with your Auntie Alana and Sebastian. You'll have the whole house to yourself, Art. Use it wisely or we're taking your personal wifi." I said eating. "You can't be serious." He stated choking on his waffles. "Art, look at my face and tell me if I'm joking." I replied looking at him. He gulped going back to eat.
Emily looked off this morning. "I need to go to the bathroom." She stated running towards it. "Dad, don't you think it's odd that mom always go to the bathroom every morning?" Art asked as we finished up. "Art, I think it's perfectly normal." I replied smiling. "Really? I don't think so. I mean mom keeps having these dizzy spells the there's the... wait for it." Art stated as we heard vomiting from the bathroom. "The vomiting? What are you implying?" I asked after washing the dishes. "You really don't remember?" He asked smirking. "Remember what?" Emily asked wiping her mouth with a paper towel. "Nothing, mom. I'm gonna go fix my room." Arthur replied smiling. Emily raised a brow as I shrugged. "Mom, am I going to learn ballet?" Mimi asked. "Do you want to learn ballet?" We asked in unison. She shook her head. "Honey, why don't you want to learn ballet?" Emily asked caring her.
"Because the girls there keep teasing me." She replied frowning. "Tell me whose teasing you and we'll deal with them." I said carrying Kieren. "Promise?" She asked smiling. "Promise." I replied kissing her forehead. "Dad?" Kieren called as Emily and Naomi walked away. "Yeah?" I asked walking up the stairs. "Am I weird?" He asked as we reached their room. I frowned and put him down. "Who told you that?" I asked frowning. "Well, Mark called me a weirdo the other day. I was just reading at the corner then he bothered me by slapping my book away and pushing me back. I pushed him back harder and ended up with this." He replied showing me his bruise on his lower right back. I frowned and touched it. "Does it hurt? Did you fight back?" I asked worriedly. "I bit his hand then he called me a freak and ran away, crying." He replied grinning. I smiled and messed his head. "Kier, did what?!" Emily asked as I gestured for Kieren to keep quite. We walked in to have Emily frowning at us. "Do you know?" She asked crossing her arms. Kieren tried to cautiously walk past Emily, but she caught him by the arm. "And where do you think you're going, hmm?" She asked as I walked towards her and smiled. "Honey, hear his side." I stated smiling. "Explain then." She replied stooping to his level. "Well, to summarize it. Mark called me a Weirdo and a Freak." Kier replied nervously. "Sorry, say that again, Kier." Emily said frowning. "He called me a Weirdo and a Freak." Kier repeated confused.
"That little piece of sh-" I cut her off with a kiss. She calmed down and pulled away. "Thanks." She whispered giving me a chaste kiss again. I smiled as she let go of Kieren. "Kier, get changed. We're going to Marla's house and give her a piece of our mind." She said between kisses. "You're amazing, but we don't need that right now." I stated as we pulled away completely. "So are you and fine." She replied as we walked towards our room and changed. "Emily, how does going to different places here and try their food today for our date?" I asked buttoning my shirt. "You know me too well. I'd love to have a food trip with you." She replied wrapping her arms around my neck and kissed me. I smiled kissing her back and wrapping my arms around her waist to pull her closer. I licked her lip and she opened her mouth as our tongues danced. "Damn, this looks like porn, Art." Some kid commented we pulled away and I looked at our door to see Arthur hit the head of the blonde kid. "Don't say that about my parents." He scolded glaring. "Right, sorry. I still can't believe your dad is Chris Evans, man. That's awesome!" The brunette exclaimed grinning. "Arthur, aren't you going to introduce us to your friends?" Emily asked as we walked towards them. "Blondie is Lucas, Freddie's the brunette. Blue hair is Henry, Black hair is Egerton. Guys, these are my parents. Emily Stan and Chris Evans." He introduced proudly.
"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am." Lucas said taking Emily's hand and giving it a kiss. "Hey, my woman." I stated taking her hand from him. "Jealous?" Emily teased. "Deadly." I replied smirking. She smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Arty!" Naomi exclaimed running towards him. "ANYBODY HOME?" Sebastian hollered from downstairs. "I'll be taking her. Behave or say goodbye to wifi for a month." Emily said taking Naomi from Arthur. I smirked at him as he stuck his tongue out. I raised a brow as I heard my name being called. I quickly went down and found Sebastian attacking Naomi with kisses. I smiled hugging Emily. "Where's Kier?" He asked as we heard jumping from the steps. "Hi Uncle Sebby!" Kieren exclaimed running down and hugging Sebastian. He carried both kids and smiled at us. "We'll keep them as long as you need. Have fun in the date." Sebastian said smiling. "Bye bye!" Naomi and Kieren exclaimed as they both waved at us, followed by Rogers. "Goodbye, sir, ma'am." He stated closing the door behind him.
We quickly rushed up the stairs and Emily and I got changed. "Don't you think it's a bit weird that we're not even married yet, but we've been staying in the same house for almost a year?" Emily asked as I took her hand in mine. "Not at all. I like weird, I like you." I replied kissing her nose. "You're so cheesy." She commented as Murdock opened the door for us. "Please stay and here with Arthur and his friends. We'll be alright." Emily said smiling. "As you wish." He stated going back in.
"So where too first?" She asked smiling. "You'll see when we get there." I replied smirking. "Chrisssssss." She whined as we reached our first stop. "We're here." I replied as I got out first and helped her out. "An Italian Restaurant?" She asked raising a brow. "Doubting my taste?" I asked as she rolled her eyes. We walked in and the receptionist entertained us. "Table for two?" She asked smiling at us. "Yes." I replied as she lead us towards a table beside the window. "Chris! The view!" Emily exclaimed as we sat beside each other. "One of the reasons I brought you here was because of this view. Remember that last day with the Avengers cast?" I asked as we looked out the window. "Yes and I said something about missing the view of the clouds surrounding the mountains?" She asked as we looked at the menu.
"Wait, this isn't just a food trip is it?" She asked blushing. " Nope, but you already guessed that as soon as you saw the view." I replied grinning. "Chris, you're so cheesy." She commented as we ordered the simple carbonara. "How did you find this place anyway?" She asked as I intertwined our fingers. "I used to come here as a teen." I replied as our food came. "This smells amazing." She stated eating. I smiled as I watched her eat. She had sauce near her lips and I laughed at how adorable she is. "Is there something on my face?" She asked blinking at me. I smiled and wiped the sauce of her face an liked my thumb. She blushed and continued to eat. We talked about our children. I smiled at the thought. OUR CHILDREN. I don't just babysit anymore, I have my own children.
"You should have seen Mimi's face when I told her you were her father. She had those sparkly, puppy dog blue eyes while she beamed at the thought of having the Human Torch as her dad. She didn't know you were going to be Captain America then." Emily said smiling. I smiled back as we got out of the restaurant and drove around for a bit looking for a nice park. I had a picnic in the back just for us. "Where are we going to stay this time?" She asked as I parked near the grass. "Oh my goodness! You remembered!?" She asked as she quickly got out of the car. This was where we had our second date as an official couple after that dinner with Jensen, Jared, and Sebastian when she was new here. "Of course I remembered. I think our names are still on the tree." I replied getting the basket out and walked after her as she skipped towards the tree in the middle of the park. "It's still here!" She exclaimed as she pointed to the small branch we engraved our names on.
"What are we doing here, Chris?" She asked as I set the blanket. "We're having our second meal here. The Carbonara wasn't that satisfying, was it?" I asked as she blushed nodding. I helped her sit down and we talked about our past. "I used to look like a scrawny kid with those braces." I said she giggled. "I didn't think you were scrawny. I thought you were adorable! You wouldn't believe how I looked like before." She replied leaning on me. "Really? What did you look like before?" I asked as she blushed. "Well, I had big, round eye glasses and of course these freckles. Then those braces, I looked horrible!" She exclaimed covering her face. I laughed at how adorable she was and gently pulled her hands away from her face. "But look at you know, as beautiful as ever." I commented smiling. She grinned opening the basket. "You made these?" She asked bringing the food out one by one. "Why not, you haven't tasted the full extent of my cooking." I replied as she opened the container. "You're healthy, I like it." She said kissing my cheek. "I wouldn't have my body, would I if I wasn't healthy." I replied smirking. She laughed as she handed me a fork and we ate chicken stir-fry. "I can't believe a beat finally beat me in cooking!" She exclaimed as we finished the sautéed chicken with the stir-fry.
"I don't think I can eat any longer." Emily mumbled as we looked at the sun between the buildings. "But you can't say no to desert can you?" I asked as I kept the containers. She giggled as I helped her up and fixed the things before we got in the car and started to talk about Arthur's friends. "I find that blondie friend of Arthur cute." She said smiling. "Oh? Why's that?" I asked frowning. "He looks a lot like you, but Arthur is the complete mini you. It's amazing." She replied smirking. "Are you purposefully, making me jealous?" I asked playfully. "If I am?" She asked playing along. "We'd have to kip desert and go home, watch over the kids, have no alone time..." I trailed off as she frowning at me. "You're gonna go there?" She asked raising a brow. "Only if you continue of course." I replied as we stopped at the red light. "Fine." She replied looking out the window. I smirked and cupped her face then tilted her to look at me. "Chris..." She trailed off as I captured her lips in mine. It tasted like mints. She probably ate some before we left. Smiled and kissed back, wrapping her arms around my neck.

We pulled away abruptly and I drove away, holding Emily's hand in mine. "Was it just me or I just had de javu?" She asked blushing. "I think we had de javu." I replied as we reached the ice cream house. "Chris!" Emily yelled hitting my arm. "What?" I asked smiling devilishly. "You did this on purpose didn't you?" She asked crossing her arms. I grinned and offered her my hand. "Now why would I do that? Come on, do you want ice cream or not?" I asked as she glared at my hand. "And if I don't take that?" She asked. "It's either this or I carry you like a bride." I replied smirking. She blushed but stood her ground and shook her head. "Suit yourself." I replied nearing her and carried her bridal style. She yelped as we walked in and I sat her on the booth in at the middle of the shop. She blushed as I sat across her. "What would you like, sir? Ma'am?" The girl asked smiling. "Aw, how old are you?" Emily asked as the girl turned towards her. "I'm 10. This is my Auntie's shop." She replied happily. "Oh, Lily, we'd like to order mint chocolate ice cream. Three of those." Emily replied smiling at her. She's noticed something about the girl. I haven't seen her here before. "Coming right up." She replied walking away.
"What is it?" I asked as we watched the girl walk towards the counter. "She's lying about why she's here. There's a small bruise under the sleeve of her uniform. It implies that she was forced to work here as punishment, but she seems to have fun in working here." She replied as I smiled at her watching at the girl. "The third one is for her isn't it?" I asked taking her hand in mine. "Yatz." She replied smiling at me. We waited for our order as we talked about the problem at hand. "Chris, I'm starting to get worried about Arthur and our twins." She stated as I caressed her hand. "They'll be fine. Do you want to leave now?" I asked as the ice cream came. "Three orders of chocolate mint ice cream." The girl announced smiling. "Do you want some?" I asked trying to get Emily to calm down by getting her off the bad thoughts. "Really?" She asked hopeful. "Really." We replied in unison. She grinned and sat with us as we ate our ice cream. It seemed to work since Emily was getting to know Lily. "I'm from Manchester! My parents came here to start this shop and we've lived her ever since." Lily replied happily. "Lily, who gave you that bruise?" Emily asked as we finished our ice cream. "Oh... uhm...." She trailed off as her Dad called. "Lily! Come here!" The man yelled. "I hope I can see you again." She whispered walking away. "Wait, here. Have this. If you need anything, just call this." I stated handing her a card with my name and number on it. "Ch-Ris Evans?" She asked as I nodded and stood up. "Yup, go on. He's calling." I whispered as we paid and watched as Lily ran towards the man. "Come on, best we leave so the heat won't be on her that much." Emily suggested linking our arms and we walked towards are car. "Home?" I asked as she nodded tiredly. I smiled and drove home to see the living room light on. I frowned and parked our car. Emily got out as well and we cautiously walked towards the living room.
"Boo-yah! He beat you, Freddie!" Arthur exclaimed. We sighed as we walked in to see Murdock beat Freddie in Call of Duty. "Mom! Dad!" Mimi exclaimed getting off the couch and running towards us. "Hey." I said catching her and carrying her. Emily smiles and yawns. "Rogers, can you please watch over them? We'll be sleeping early tonight." I replied kissing Naomi's cheek. "Say goodnight to mommy. We're going to sleep early." I whispered as Naomi kissed Emily on the cheek. "Goodnight mom." She whispered as I put her down and carried Emily. "Goodnight, kiddies. Make sure to fix the place." I stated walking away. "Dude, seriously, your parents are a perfect match!" The Lucas boy exclaimed. I chuckled as we got in our bed room and I gently laid Emily on the bed. "I had fun today." She whispered kissing my cheek. "I know. Let's get to sleep." I whispered removing her shoes and mine then joined her on the bed. "Goodnight, Chris." She whispered falling asleep on my chest. "Goodnight, baby." I whispered kissing her forehead and falling asleep as well.
